This is Ken Ham, CEO of the apologetics and evangelistic ministry of Answers in Genesis. We’re all shocked by violence in many American cities. Does evolution have anything to do with this?

Well, the public school system has indoctrinated generations of young people into believing there’s no God, we’re just highly evolved animals who evolved over millions of years, and there’re no moral absolutes. And in this worldview where we decide right and wrong for ourselves, then violence is okay if I think it’s okay.

And the more society thinks this way, we’ll see many more people acting out the consequences of what they’ve been taught.

But there is a God—we’re not just animals—and there are moral absolutes that come from God.
