Alina has been watching Grey's Anatomy since 2008 (three years after the TV show started) and ever since then, she had a love-hate relationship with the TV show. Shonda Rhimes made her cry so much so that she sometimes used the TV show to cry when she felt blocked. Last week there was the season finale of season 17 and Alina had a lot to say about it.
Yep, you read that correctly. There is an actual Troll Peninsula in Iceland or Tröllaskagi. Last month I went on my first road trip with Timi (my car) in the North of Iceland. And on the way back I decided to visit the beautiful and stunning area that I haven's seen before. Today's episode is all about my way back to Reykjavik while exploring the North a little more.
We all know how important it is to donate blood, right? Even if you have never done it, nor consider it, you still know that this is the one thing you can do to possibly save someone's life. For real, not metaphorically. Yet, so few people are donating. Today's episode is about my experience of trying to donate blood in Iceland. Because unfortunately, it wasntæt as easy as I was expecting.
Fagradalsfjall Volcano has been erupting since March 19th and I finally went to experience one of the most beautiful and exciting things I have ever seen.
You probably know I love Gilmore Girls so much. It's one of the shows I have watched from start to finish probably more than 10 times. The first time, I watched it back in the early 2000s when I was in high school and later on I kept rewatching because it made more sense in a different way. And I also transitioned from seeing myself in Rory to seeing myself in Lorelai. A lot to unpack there.
P.S. Forever #TeamJess.
And finally, yesterday I celebrated Easter. Today's episode is about what Easter means to me and how did I celebrate all by myself.
Last week, Alina told you about buying a car. Northern Iceland was calling her name so in today's episode, she's talking about her drive to the North of Iceland.
Alina rambles about the experience of buying a second-hand car in Iceland and how she blocked her bank account trying to pay for it.
Today's episode is all about asking questions that have been bothering me for a while. Podcasts, dresses, hypocrisy, common sense and mental health. Do you have the answers?
Today's episode is something different. I decided to build a Christmas Gingerbread House (yes on Easter!) and record myself doing so. Since it's a very visual episode, I highly suggest for you to follow me on IG @alinas_wonders since the video will be published there.
Today's episode is something completely different from what you are used to but something close to my heart. I am starting today another mini-series on my podcast, She Watches. I will expand on what are my favourite sports, movies, tv shows and so on. And since F1 is back, I had to start with the glorious racing event.
.
It was the late-90s when I got into liking Formula 1. Watching every race for almost 15 years or even more not only brought me joy because I mean it's F1 racing!, but also because I acknowledged all these countries as little as they were shown. I mean back then the idea of me affording to travel was something close to impossible, little I knew later in life I would actually watch a race live. But that's another story. And for the longest time, I had very few friends to share my passion with, mainly because I felt out of place not knowing more about cars and engines and ish. I was never into cars, clearly since I got my driving license one year and a half ago. I just loved the racing.
.
For those curious about what I mentioned in the episode, this is the blog I was talking about: https://justvave.wordpress.com/category/sport/
A little throwback to 2017, when on my birthday I decided to drink and record a silly video. I have not made it public until this year so... enjoy!
Alina shares her experience about paying taxes and the need to hire an accountant in Iceland.
I am starting today a mini-series on my podcast, talking about my immigrant life. I have actually talked about this before on my podcast since I live in three other countries before Iceland: Denmark, Turkey and Tunisia. Also, I am not gonna get into the whole immigrant vs. expat meaning. I think people should get over themselves and stop assuming people coming from another country (or from a specific part of the world) are beneath them.
Back to today's episode, I am talking about my experience with paying taxes in Iceland, after working as a contractor in film production.
Today is my second favourite holiday of the year. Can you guess which one is it? The two countries I have lived the most in are celebrating two very distinct things today. It was time to give you more insight into both of them, and how to make it your own.
Happy Beer Day and/or Happy First Day of Spring!
Born in Jamaica, living in UK, Sasha appreciated from an early age the importance of discovering and understanding other cultures. Listen to today's conversation about challenging yourself no matter the age, and inspire others by becoming the best version of yourself.
Until next time, stay true to yourself and follow your dreams.
Who hasn't think at least once to be in NYC for the winter holidays? But how was it to be in NYC during Covid19? I'm telling you about my experience and more in today's episode.
Today's episode is all about the flyover in Denmark and arrival in Iceland, more information about quarantining and all the other requests when arriving in the Scandinavian country, as promised.
In today's episode, I talk about my cancelled flight from JFK to KEF, all the procedures needed to do before leaving NYC and the amazing surprise during my first flight back to Iceland.
Interviews are baaaaack!
So I am starting this year with the first Romanian guest on my show. I met Radu Păltineanu while we were both exploring South America, being the first Romanian to explore the entire continent by bike. Our conversation took us from South America to Romania to New Zealand, where he is currently living together with his partner. If you want to follow Radu adventures make sure you find him on https://www.radupaltineanu.com/ and follow him on social media.
Until next time, follow your dreams and stay true to yourself.
So here is the story about all the things we need to do before and after arriving in NYC. We arrived mid-December, but the regulations are the same now too.
How did I get to US? Today's episode is about all the research and preparations needed in order to be accepted in NYC from Ecuador.
It's not easy to travel during covid19, not impossible either. But you will need to face the reality how things are not the same and how some things are way more complicated if you can't plan in advance (while you can't decide on the spot either).
And so my stories continue with being back in Ecuador, observing the changes made because of #covid19.
Hi darlings, here I am again: travelling through South America, more specifically through Ecuador. Today's episode is about the flight from Amsterdam to Quito. Everything that changed on a trip by plane since the pandemic started.
Here we go again. Travelling Inside Out is back on the road.. or in the air. I am telling you all about travelling again, today is all about the first flight. Tune in and follow my adventure of safely making my way between continents.
Today's episode is about the do's and dont's of planning a trip during a pandemic. Come along with me because I am starting, once again, a trip to remember.
I rant about my five worse experiences from my travels. And I call out companies that are taking advantages of their clients during a crisis.
Alina continues her stories about her travel to Netherlands and the adventures she got herself into, knowingly and unknowingly.
It's been quite a ride to get here, but it was time for an update. Today's episode is a look back at where I came from, where I am and what lays ahead for #alinaswonders.
Travelling to the Netherlands for a short weekend trip seemed like one of the best ideas I ever had. Listen to my story how some things are simply not meant to be and the reasons why I need to go back to visit the Dutch land in a more proper manner.
Until next time follow your dreams and stay true to yourself.
I never do this, but for the first time in my podcast, I felt the need to expand on someone else's idea. I was very annoyed at what Joe Rogan said about video games as a hobby so I decided to make an episode about it. Let's talk about the need for making everything a side hustle and why I believe hobbies are very important in one's life.
Until next time stay true to yourself and follow your dreams.
I rarely go on short trips, just for a weekend, especially abroad. But my trip to Ireland was exactly that.
Today's episode is about a lot of firsts while visiting Dublin. Enjoy!
Until next time stay true to yourself and follow your dreams.
Today's episode is the continuation of the previous one. Long-distance relationships and their challenges, and most importantly, how do you keep it alive during a pandemic.
Until next time stay true to yourself and follow your dreams.
Do long-distance relationships work? Why would someone even try? And most importantly how do you even navigate that territory? These are a few of the questions I am answering today, speaking about my long-distance relationship and how it got affected by the pandemic.
Until next time stay true to yourself and follow your dreams.
This time I am talking about what really happened in Iceland since I arrived back here. How did the country manage COVID-19 crisis, what do you need to know before coming here this summer and my biggest challenge since I came back. Enjoy!
Until next time, stay true to yourself and follow your dreams.
I continue the stories from my childhood and later as a teenager. The little stories I have very little or no photos of, but they are still vivid in my memories. I have chosen this photo because it is rather funny. Here I was: finally being 18 years old, happy with my cake and being legally able to drink a beer. But do you see the phone? Listen to the story on how I got it stolen a few months later.
It is always great to look back at some of the adventures we've been through. And so this time, I wanna hear it from you. What are some of your adventures as a kid or teenager? I feel like I could record a part three of this.. if you guys are interested.

Have you ever looked back at your memories, all the way to your childhood, and tried to remember the silly things you were doing? I think everyone has done that, and today I share with you some of my adventures as a kid. Because the need for risky situations started many years ago... back in the 90s. Unfortunately, especially at the beginning of the 90s, we didn't have a camera so I have very few pictures. And the ones I have were all during some sort of celebration. This is why today's picture is still an old one, by the river, taken with a camera on film that I later scanned, but it is not from the time I am talking about.

Today's episode is once again about the journey within, this time talking about burn out. How do you get it, how do you get rid of it, and most importantly what is it? Listen to my experience regarding this syndrome and how to deal with it. And to understand a little better, have a listen to episode 3 in which I was talking about my struggles way before understanding what was happening with me.
P.S. I am not a professional, I am only speaking from my perspective. Please consider talking with one if you need professional help.

Hey everyone,
Right from the start, I have to say I recorded this interview twice because of some technical issues. And in the end, I wasn't even able to solve them. But today's guest is the closest to my heart. You will know why if you listen to our conversation about West Indian culture, carnivals, working in the film industry and much more.
This week I will publish my April newsletter. If you missed the March Newsletter you can find the link here and don't forget to subscribe so you won't miss the next one coming soon. https://mailchi.mp/6cd4f42f43a9/march-newsletter

Hi guys,
Paraguay is one of the least visited countries in South America and I made it my goal not to skip it. Today's episode is part two I started in episode 77 talking about my travels to Paraguay (both times).

Hi guys,
Now is the best time to remember the trips we took. So today I am coming to you with one of the first crazy adventures I had outside of the country. My trip to Finland, the third country I visited outside of my own, was memorable. I remember everything even if it happened 10 years ago. Or, better said, almost everything. You will know what I mean if you listen to the episode.
Until next time, stay true to yourself and follow your dreams.
Hi guys,
Today's episode is something I love talking about, it is also the question I usually start my interviews with. As the title says, comfort zone. It takes a bit of time to understand what that is for you, and because of the crisis we are going through right now, you might discover your comfort zone is not what you thought it is. A lot of us are challenged to face our own demons, being stuck at home and needing to readjust to a world that does not make sense. How should you take advantage of these strange times and learn from it? Listen to my stories and share yours.
Until next time, follow your dreams (from the distance or online) and stay true to yourself (but don't be an a**hole).
Hey guys,
Are you isolating yourself? Are you keeping a distance from others? Let me guess, you do and now you are bored. I mean I get being lazy (boy do I?) but being bored at home.. when you have access to the internet? That I won't get it. Also, I've never thought of how being an introvert will serve as a super-power. Or my depression will prove helpful. Who knew, right? So from my isolated soul to yours, I've made a list with things you can do not to get bored. Enjoy!
Until next time, follow your dreams (from the distance and online) and stay true to yourself (but don't be an a**hole).

Hello everyone,
As I was saying last week, I decided to move abroad. So this month I am having a mini-series about what does mean. Today's episode continues the list of things to have in mind before leaving. Once again if you have any kind of questions for me, make sure you get in touch with me at alinaswonders(@)gmail(.)com
Until next time, stay true to yourself and follow your dreams.
Hey darlings,
For those who follow my social media, this comes with no surprise. But for those who don't (firstly, why not?!) I have decided to move abroad again. I have lived in 4 different countries so far and in one specific one, I am moving now for the 4th time. Today's episode is about moving abroad and the things you need to consider after you make the decision but way before the actual move. So take your pen and paper (or open your organisation app) and have a listen.
Since this is quite a huge topic to talk about I will have it as a mini-series. So if you have any questions about preparations one should consider before moving abroad, make sure you get in touch with me. Send me a voice message or send me an email at alinaswonders(@)gmail(.)com

Hello, my dears,
I am happy to present to you my first interview of this year. The conversation I had with Sidney will inspire you to step outside of your comfort zone. So listen to the stories about her decision to live in Ukraine for two years, moving from California. We explore the reasoning, the challenges encountered there and especially the ones after coming back.
Until next time stay true to yourself and follow your dreams!
Around two years ago I was travelling back to Paraguay for my second time on my trip. I have quite a bit of stories from Paraguay so it was time to share some of them with you. It will forever be in my mind as the unexplored land from South America and highly encourage travellers to dare to visit the surprising stunning country.
Until next time, stay true to yourself and follow your dreams.
Hey darlings,
Do you struggle with travelling only with a hand-luggage? It is the cheapest way to travel by plane and it's easier when it comes to moving around. Today's episode I reveal how do I pack in such a way that I won't ever over-pack. It's never easy but there are a few tricks you should always consider.
P.S. The small backpack you see in the picture is my hand luggage packed for around 2 weeks.
Until next time stay true to yourself and follow your dreams.
Hey darlings,
I was asked a lot of times how do I make sure I am safe when travelling abroad, And so today I've decided to give you tips and tricks about what to do in case of an emergency while travelling.
If you have anything to add please feel free to do so by leaving me a voice message.
Until next time stay true to yourself and follow your dreams.
This month two years ago I was leaving Ushuaia, Argentina to continue my trip through South America. I stayed there for 2 weeks and arrived there hitchhiking a truck from 1800 km away. Did that scare me? Not really!
Since I have hitchhiked a long part of my way through South America I can sum up my experience as a solo female traveller. Plus the ones I got from hitchhiking in Iceland. Feel free to add to my stories.
Until next time, follow your dreams and stay true to yourself.
Hello everyone!
Today's episode is all about appearances and metaphors. Simple enough, or is it?
Until next time, stay true to yourself and follow your dreams.
Today's episode is something off-brand for Travelling Inside Out. If you want to hear my take on #nonutnovember, #nomakeupfriday, #australianfires, #royalbrexit, and more tune in and hear me drop f-bombs like it's natural. Because it felt natural. Until next time, let's be better at humaning! Yes, I just made up a word, deal with it!
2019 is finally over and we start fresh. Except I have already made some changes and I am going to continue to work hard to make my dreams come true. Let's get inspired together!
Until next time, stay true to yourself and follow your dreams.
Hi everyone,
This year was the one I did the least travelling abroad and the most within myself. It was a very challenging year in which I had to face some ugly truth and my mind wandered in a million corners of the world. So, as I am saying in this episode, I had to include some of my overwhelming thoughts I spoke while recording this years' episodes. There is no perfect line in life, but boy am I drawing it like crazy!
I wish you all a peaceful year and a forever heartwarming cuddle when you need it the most. Happy holidays and an even happier new year. And remember to stay true to yourself and follow your dreams.
Hi guys,
Since the holidays are approaching really fast I thought to have a look back to the interviews I had throughout the year and see how people answered to one specific question. And as a bonus, for the first time, I answer on my podcast to the same question. Have a listen to feel free to share your answer.
Happy Holidays!
It's that time of the year again when people eat more than they need. Hahha. I won't go into that because I am kinda guilty about it too, however, it was time to talk about food... while travelling. I've sprinkled tips each and there but if you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask me.
Until next time, follow your dreams and stay true to yourself.
Hello, my sweet listeners.
Today's episode is all about my recent trip. For those who are following my social media, this comes with no surprise: I was in NYC (yes! once again) for the Thanksgiving weekend. I loved loved loved my time there and I am telling you the stories behind some of the content you may have already seen.
I am also explaining what happened to my laptop and why I have missed one week's episode. Also by the end of it, I have an important question and I would love to get your answers so please don't let me hanging and tell me your approach or your view on it.
Until next time, follow your dreams and stay true to yourself.
I am back with a new interview.
Unfortunately, I had some technical issues with my laptop and I wasn't able to upload an episode last week. So here I am with the last interview of the year coming to you from Greece. My guest is an actor-director, theatre educator and dramaturg and I have met her earlier this year during a film festival. She is an international sensation, a powerhouse and a mum. Listen to my conversation with Georgia about working in a predominantly male environment and how to find your voice despite any challenges you might encounter on the way.
Thank you for tuning in and if you want to get in touch with me you can do so by sending an email to alinaswonders(@)gmail.com
Until next time follow your dreams and stay true to yourself.
Today's episode is about celebrating National Day abroad. December 1st is the Romanian National Day and it is something important to me. And so I am sharing with you stories of how I kept this important day in my heart when travelling or/and living abroad. Is National Day an important day for you? Or simply put, what does it mean to you?
Until next time stay true to yourself and follow your dreams.
I am a traveller but my travels don't define me. Listen to today's episode to understand why I strongly believe that and what it meant for me to look outside of my travels, on the journey of always discovering who I am.
Until next time stay true to yourself and follow your dreams.
In today's shorter episode I am talking about lies I've told myself about travelling. Or about how I perceive some of the experiences I had while exploring different countries.
Do you have any other lies to add? Let me know by leaving me a voice message.
Until next time, stay true to yourself and follow your dreams.
Hi everyone.
We are back to the regular schedule of having guests once a month. And today's interview is coming from the UK, but with strong connections to Asia and Oceania. Meet Becky, the photographer and storyteller who was kind enough to share her travel stories with us. If you want to follow her, please check out her amazing work: https://www.beckyalicecoe.com.
And if you liked this interview and you want to be a guest on my show, get in touch with me at alinaswonders(@)gmail.com.

Today's episode is a better description of how I managed to travel to 30 countries in ten years (some of them more than once). I give you details about how I made the time, how did I afford every trip and even more. Have a listen and let me know if you have further questions for me. And as I mentioned in the episode this is the short interview: https://youtu.be/kY_VmWIhvM0.

Hi!
It's time for the fourth and last interview for this month. Today's episode is coming from Houston, Texas. And I need to say out of all the interviews so far this one took me the most by surprise. Have a listen and if you like it, share it with your friends. And since tomorrow is his birthday, I wanted to take the opportunity to wish him a great time and thank him once again for accepting my invitation.

Hi everyone,
Today's episode is the first of three-part mini-series in which I will share my experience as an EVS volunteer in Iceland. Everything from how to enroll to how it feels living abroad (once again), from expectations to challenges. Today's episode is all about the coincidences that lead up to moving to Iceland for an 8-month project.
Until next time stay true to yourself and follow your dreams!
Hi everyone!
Today's episode is a little late. I have just returned from a film festival where I camped. So of course I felt inspired to talk about camping, especially about the differences between Romania and Iceland. Why these two countries? Simply because they are the ones I camped the most in.
In other news, I have some updates. Later this month I will celebrate my one year anniversary, one year of podcasting, of course. I will have a special episode then, so make sure to tune in on August 26th for one kind of an episode. Meanwhile, the host of Wonderful Radio Flanagan, Paul was kind enough to record a review episode for my podcast "career". Go have a listen and a laugh. https://buff.ly/2ORXFty
Until next time, stay true to yourself and follow your dreams.
Hey there,
Today's episode is all about the stories from my travel through Uruguay, talking about people, mate, football and I also had to mention how I forgot and got my GoPro camera stolen.

Today's episode is about doing what I'm preaching: getting outside of my comfort zone. It has been difficult to talk about my failures, however I do believe no matter how hard the conversation is, sometimes it feels better to take it out of your chest. Let's talk about it, you can leave me a voice message on Anchor. Just open my podcast page in Anchor, even if you're not logged in, and click 'Send voice message' directly in your browser. Tell me why do you think we are afraid to fail?
I was invited to be a guest on 'Perception is Reality' podcast. Have a listen to my conversation with David, the host of the podcast. Hey there! It is almost one year since I started podcasting and never have I ever had an episode about my home country. Until now. As you can imagine, I had to start with some facts and stereotypes regarding the land of vampires and gypsies. Right? Also, do you know where Romania is on the map?
Until next time, stay true to yourself and follow your dreams.
Hi guys,

I am happy to bring you, yet another fascinating interview. My seventh guest, Aishling is a creative artist who brings spirituality into her art. We talk about the journey within that is so needed, especially nowadays with all the distractions and challenges we have to face as a society. You can check out her work at www.crystalcaillech.com.
I have decided to make the interviews part of my regular schedule, not make them an extra episode of my podcast. I am still testing to see how it works best, let me know if you have any suggestions, ideas or if you simply want to be a guest on my podcast.
Until next time, stay true to yourself and follow your dreams.
From the start I wanted to keep this podcast real and honest. So today's episode is more like an exercise of pushing negativity away. Join me and maybe send me an audio message on Anchor to let me know how do you deal with negativity in your life.
Until next time, stay true to yourself and follow your dreams.
Hey guys! I had a short break, but I am back. I had to take something off my chest so today's episode is a bit of a rambling (more than usual). I will be back with my regular episodes following week.
Until next time, stay true to yourself and follow your dreams.
Hey guys,
Before listening to this episode, I highly suggest to listen to episode 35 since I have already explained there how I ended up volunteering in Tunisia. Today's episode is more about the experience in general and the cultural shock I had to deal with. As I mentioned last time, I decided to split the story in a few parts because it is a lot to unfold from my Tunisian experience.

Hey guys!
I am gonna be honest and say I am still figuring out what is the best way of recording with the new microphone and all. Thank you for being patient with me.
Hiking has been a big part of my life ever since I was a kid and 'I was going on adventures' as I used to say. I am talking in general about my experience as a hiker, as a female hiker, as a solo female hiker and camper. If you have any questions you can always leave some voice messages and I will get back to you or answer directly in the podcast.
Until next time... stay true to yourself and follow your dreams.
Hey you! Yes, YOU! If you are reading this, chances are it is not your first time stumbling upon my podcast. So you might know a couple of months ago I had a funding campaign. With the money collected I decided to invest a little in my passion. Thank you for those who contributed in my first professional microphone. Hopefully from now on you will enjoy my stories even more, like the one I am presenting today.
For my birthday I usually do something special, but last year after travelling by myself for 5 months, I asked myself "when I gave myself the world, what else is there?". And so it was time to offer myself the rest of the galaxy!
As I promised in a previous episode, it was time for me to dive into the story of travelling to Atacama Desert. Once again fulfilling a childhood dream. Listen to the story of how I have hitchhiked my way there, how I went in four tours in two days, I got myself drunk and dealt with the hungover next day while travelling for an entire day.

Hey guys,
It is the third episode about my experience of being an immigrant. It was October 2012 when I ended up volunteering in Tunisia. Listen to the the story of what pushed me to go there and how my first two days felt like. I decided to split the story in few parts because it is a lot to unfold from my Tunisian experience.

Heya to all of you reading this.
Last April I was exploring Peru and of course, I couldn't miss the main attraction, Machu Picchu.
It was around 20 years ago when I started reading about Inca and Maya culture. My family had a book subscription which meant we were getting one book per month in the post. And like that, I got really into what Inca culture was about. The lack of internet was good for my reading habits.
Since then it has been my dream to visit Machu Picchu. But Peru it always seemed so far away (I mean it actually is from Romania, but so are some dreams). Still, this dream was just like background music in a restaurant. I don't always hear it, but it never stops giving a lovely ambience to the place.
And finally, 20 years later my dream came true. It took me one year to talk about it and the actual few weeks to process everything I went through. Listen for the entire story in today's episode.
Hi guys,
Until next time.. follow your dreams and stay true to yourself.
Heya everyone,
It was time for another q&a because I keep getting asked a lot of questions about my travels, or better said, the way I travel. If I did not answer to your question, listen to the previous q&a episode. If I still missed your question just let me know what else would you like to know and I will do my best to answer next time.
