Today you’re going to hear from Carmen Platt. She’s the no nonsense founder of the Generous and The Grateful – love that name, right?  An organisation that distribute bulky essential used items to people to help furnish their homes like washing machines, sofas and beds with the idea that if you can set up a safe home for someone, then they can get on with rebuilding their lives more easily. 

We talked about travel, and how it helps us grow, the desire for many of us to want to help but how to go about it in a way that’s right for you, why what she and her team do make a difference, why we should be ok with receiving, not just giving and how she’s not really amazing, just a middle class mum from the burbs.
