In today's passage Jesus explains the advantages of being a follower of Christ. It's not just that we have eternal life, we have peace in troubled times. And because the Bible tells us about God and what to expect in the future, we have the advantage of resting in God's promises and being ready for what lies ahead. -But Jesus also gives a stern warning to those that would disregard the Bible and the reality of the coming judgement. Those that choose to do so will face dire consequences.
