Peter denied Jesus three times during his trial and before his crucifixion. Now, Jesus, resurrected and alive, is eating breakfast with Peter and asks him three times, "Do you love me?" 

In these questions and the commands that follow, we learn about the heart of God for his wandering sheep and what it means to follow Jesus.
