The Christian Calendar tells the story of Jesus, the anticipation of his birth, the revelation of his life, the passion of his death, and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in his Ascension. The largest time in the calendar is Ordinary Time, or Kingdom Time, where we follow Jesus in the regular rhythms of our day to day. Everyday Theology is the path laid out for our teaching in 2024, it started with Advent/Christmas (the beginning of the Christian Calendar) and will take us through Epiphany, Lent, Easter and Pentecost as we journey through the story of Jesus, which leads us into the story of his people. Our aim this year is to focus on the foundations of our faith, why do we do what we do, and to make sure that our worship and words give the due reverence and respect to our creator and saviour.
