Whether you’re an administrator, teacher, intern, or someone with a vested interest in education, this podcast might just be for you.  My name is Joel Stange and I’m the host of Listen. Learn. Live (in no particular order). My goal is to make educational experiences meaningful for our youth. I’ve been an educator for 8 years and I’ve spent all of it teaching in elementary school. I’m a recent school administrator and currently a master’s student at the University of Saskatchewan. My focus these days is in Critical and Environmental Education principles. Although I’m still in the beginning stages, I’ve gained some wonderful incites that I’d love to share with you. I’d also like to share some of my personal educational interests and maybe even connect with people who share a similar passion for making schools more meaningful for our youth.  The format: The format of the show will go as follows: I will choose a topic of interest. It may be something I am studying, something that is applicable to me in my day to day life as an educator, or something that has grabbed my attention in the teaching field.  I’ll break the topic into three shows:Listen. Learn. Live.  Listen. Is a show about why an educational strategy should exist, and an examination of how this could look. Learn. Is a show which dives into examples of how we can implement the educational strategy in our schools. I’ll provide resources and examples from educators who are making school meaningful for their students. Live. Is a show that talks about the unintended outcomes that can arise from the topic. This could even extend outside of the school, to your own personal life. I may not always start in the same order, but you can always expect that I will cover a topic in three different ways.   I hope that wherever this finds you, my podcast will provide some level of worth for you.
