I dropped my VIP Group this Summer.

Yup, the girl who teachers how to run a successful VIP Group, threw caution to the wind these last 2 months and decided to do a little social media experiment that included NOT posting inside her group.

Okay, enough with the 3rd person narrative.

Honestly, after more than 8 years of building a successful, thriving VIP Group that was the center of my social media strategy - I wanted to see if there was another way. I wanted to see if by dropping one (time consuming) element, if I would free up more time and energy to put more intention into other areas of social media.

Here's the thing - a lot of us aren't actually out there selling, but think that we are so we are wondering where all of the sales are?

There is a huge difference between ACTIVE and PASSIVE selling.

Let me explain ...

Passive Selling is what you are doing for your baseline activity. It's the consistent posting in your VIP Group and in your stories, etc.

Active Selling is the sales strategies that you're actually doing, that directly pull in sales. Personal reach outs, VIP Group takeovers, events, etc.

And you need both inside your business. One lays the foundation, one brings in the bacon.

I will explain fully in this episode.

I get asked this all the time - "can I do 2 companies at one time?"

And the answer is two-fold.

Yes, and no.

I mean, the truth is - you can do anything that you want. It's your life, it's your businesses. But there's a lot to consider when you're thinking about signing up for another company and it's important to look at this decision from all angles?

Questions to ask yourself:

What do I hope to get out of each company?
Is there a common theme between the 2 and do they appeal to the same ideal customer? Ie. Will they fit into the brand that I am building.
Will I grow them together or separately?

I will explain all of this in this episode, and help you make the decision for yourself. Or! If you already have 2 businesses, hopefully give you some useful tips for how to be successful with both of them and not constantly feel like you have a million balls in the air.

For an online business, your social media strategy is one of the most important elements to sharing and selling your products.

You want it to be manageable, effective and connected to the brand that you're building. And you also want it to be seen.

In this episode - we are going to talk about all of the things that make up your social media strategy, and getting out front and center. And I'm going to tell you all about my little social experiment this Summer.

Question! Where are you showing up? Are you getting the results that you want? Is there a way to push yourself a little outside of your comfort zone? xo

You will never outperform your own beliefs in yourself.

Here's what I need you to know -

You are likely the only thing standing in the way of the goals you have set for yourself.

What you believe yourself to be capable of.

What you believe you will stick to.

What you believe is possible for you.

So if you want to shift the outcome, not only do you need to adopt new habits - but you need to kick the self sabotaging behaviours and beliefs that are keeping you stuck.

Todays episode is a bit of a detour from our branding chats, but this has been coming up in my world a bunch - so I wanted to take a quick pause and have a really honest conversation.

When you're done listening to the episode - I want you to ask yourself what you're currently working on. And then layout the habits that you will need to make that goal a reality. And then start building those habits NOW. Don't wait for Monday, or the Fall, or even the next full moon ...do it now.

What if I told you that you could choose who your customers were going to be?

And what if I told you that ultimately the brand that you build, and the content that you share - will be what will lead to the audience that you build?

It's a little bit about who your products will appeal to, but more than that - it's about who you desire to serve through the brand you are building and the products that you are selling.

And you're going to be the one who sets the stage for this, and calls the right audience it is.

And the more you know about them - the better!

Ask yourself -

What do I know about them?
Are they male or female?
What do they do for fun?
What are they currently struggling with?
What problems can I solve through my products and what I share?
What does an average day look like in their lives?
What do they hope to get from me?

The clearer you can get on all of the above, the easier it is going to be to show up and serve that audience. Create content that you know they will eat up, and speak directly to them through what you post.

If you could be known for anything ...what would you be known for?

This is one of the questions that you should be asking yourself as you build out your brand.

Because the truth is -

Your brand represents you, your beliefs and the mark you want to leave on the world.

There are likely a zillion ways to build a brand - but I am going to lay out 2 of them for you in this episode.

The first will have your products as a part of the brand, and the second will focus more on something else that you are an expert in, or passionate about.

The key here to remember is - your products and your business, are likely the least interesting thing about you. You have so many things that are unique about you, so many experiences that you could share and so much knowledge on different topics.

Start from that place, and build a platform that you're proud of. That is different from every other account/personality out there. That sets you apart and draws people into your world.

But mostly - that you love, and have fun with. xo

I think when we hear the word 'BRAND' we don't necessarily think of our own personal businesses, and unless you've been in my world for awhile - you definitely don't think of it as a requirement for running a Network Marketing business.

But my friends ...I am here to tell you that building a personal brand, is going to flip your business on its side and increase its potential exponentially.

A brand is what is going to set you apart.

A brand is going to be what makes people FEEL something.

And a brand is what is going to create loyalty with your customer base.

It is so much easier to take care of the customers you have, than it is to acquire new ones. And sometimes I think we forget this. We get on the hamster wheel of doing parties and vendor events and reach outs …always thinking - new, new, new. When there is already a lot of low dangling fruit inside of the customer base that is already established. So! This episode is going to dig into some of my ideas around taking amazing care of your current customer base, in an effort to pull in those repeat orders. Are you playing the long or the short game in your business? I often compare growing a business, to growing a garden. You never truly know what will sprout. It takes a lot of love, attention and nurturing. And sometimes you’ll need to evaluate and rework some things. And here’s the thing - some of what you do will be short game stuff …running promotions/sales, doing reach outs, etc. But a lot of what you should be doing, is with your long term plan in mind. Knowing that the more seeds you plant, the better you are at watering - the more beautiful (and aligned with your overall vision) your garden will be one day. I asked the question the other week - “If I was to look at your personal FB profile, how long would it take me to see your business? How about a picture of you?”

The responses were varied and I think this is a topic we should dig into!

I know for me - I shied away from sharing on my personal platform for a really long time. I wasn’t sure how to integrate my business, I didn’t want to alienate friends & family and if I’m being honest …I was overthinking the crap out of it. Anyone else?🙋🏻‍♀️

Let me tell you why using your personal and public platforms is an absolute must inside your social strategy, and how to do it with ease.

This is a hot topic in my world these days, so let's break it down:

Here are 3 reasons that your FB VIP Group, may be dead.

You aren’t being consistent.

You want to be posting 4-5 times, throughout the day …5 days/week. And yes, I can hear you gasp from here. Ha. But trust me, it’s the secret sauce.

You aren’t growing your group.

You want to be adding at least 10 new customers/clients per month, that are inside your target market. Growth is key, because it brings in new energy.

Your content is either too salesy, or not salesy enough.

I know this sounds a bit cryptic - but many times people live inside the engaging content (Netflix recommendations, coffee chats, etc) and forget to actively sell. Or alternatively, they lean on only product content, and don’t bring pieces of themselves in.

And those are the ONLY things that are standing between you and an incredible FB Group, full of active and engaged customers.

In this episode I am actually talking about the very first incentive (in this case, a company trip) that I didn't go for. Why I made the decision, how it felt and the ultimate purpose behind the choice.

Always remember that your business is a choice.

You get to choose how you build, where you build - all. the. things.

I think sometimes we lose sight of this, as we charge towards every single carrot that is dangled. At least I know I did.

And for me it led to burnout.

What I teach women to do is build in a way that is sustainable around the life that they desire to build. This is less about chasing every single thing that comes your way, and more about playing the long game - and building a business that you'll have for life.

These last few weeks have been such a whirlwind for me! From finding out that S&D was changing out of the MLM format, to starting a whole new journey - I feel like I’ve been on a rollercoaster. Okay my friends, let’s have this real chat - because if you’re a leader, you’ve been here. And I know what it feels like, because I’ve been there too.

In this episode we discuss the concept that you have to decide who you want to be in this life. We need to be aware of limiting beliefs that are holding us back and willing to see where we cut ourselves short and work to changes those patterns. Don’t worry, this episode is not going to be all doom and gloom, like the title might suggest! Instead, we’ll discuss more about how we can get caught up in what failure means and how it reflects on us. But we shouldn’t – because it literally doesn’t mean anything. We need to learn to let it go and move on. To determine if the failure is a result of fear or truth. Because that will help us to determine how we handle the situation – do we have to do the work that it takes to let go of the fears OR acknowledge when we just need to pivot to something else. When we remember that we have control over what we consume and give our energy to on social media, that’s when everything changes. Always be asking yourself - what is my current relationship with social media and how can I improve it? And from there, start to be more intentional with it and see how the experience changes for you.

In this episode we will discuss everything failure, but from the perspective that failure is a part of every single thing that we do – it’s how we learn, grow and move to the next level. It’s important for us to remember that failure does not define us, but rather that what we do after we fail, how we get back up and try again, is the important and character-building step. We need to be asking ourselves, what are we holding ourselves back from – fear of failure or something incredible on the other side?

You still have the ability to create a business and a brand that is uniquely you. Because we get to define what success looks like for us.

In this episode we will discuss internal programming and how that affects the decisions that we make. How the beliefs that we have can cause us to do things the same way over and over again as opposed to trying to do things differently. Are you making assumptions in your business that are actually holding you back? Sometimes we just assume that someone wouldn't like our product or don't talk about a certain product as much because it's not OUR favourite. But everyone has different needs and different products to match these needs. Just because a product isn't our favourite, doesn't mean it won't be someone else's fave! By making these assumptions, you're actually putting limitations on your own business.

I also talk about some of the assumptions we make when it comes to the people that are right for this kind of business. We may assume that someone wouldn't be interested, someone's too busy, someone doesn't need the money, etc, etc, etc. Well I'm here to tell you that there is always a way to flip that story and make this actually, the perfect business for those people.

By not making these assumptions the possibilities are endless for our business!

In my experience, it takes only 30 days to make something a habit. So, I'm challenging you to create 12 new habits in 2020. For each month, pick something that you would like to become a habit of yours. I challenge you to become diligent with it. Make sure you do it every single day for that entire month and keep track of your progress. I promise you, at the end of those 30 days, those new habits won't feel so daunting!

I am going to argue that it really isn't motivation or inspiration that creates success as an Entrepreneur ...it is solid habits. Habits are what get you up every single morning, take you through your work day and help you produce the results you need for success.
