Over time people recognized my level of engagement and enthusiasm.

I then got a phone call asking me to go to lunch!

• Learn and know bi-laws. Term limits, voting processes
• Do what you say you’re gonna do - Integrity. Be more concerned with your character than your reputation
• Surround yourself with people smarter than you - mentors
