No one wants to hear that they can lose their salvation. It's frightening to even think about it, especially when it was promised to them by their pastor! AND THIS IS WHERE WE HAVE A PROBLEM! Salvation is conditional. Our salvation is thus conditionally based by and on God’s terms. It is when, and only then, you remain in Jesus Christ, that you are secured.
The truth of the matter is that the dogma of "Once Saved/ Always Saved" is a doctrine of devils and a tradition of man that is leading, and has led, many to be put BACK on that BROAD WAY that leads to ETERNAL DESTRUCTION! Eternal life is promised and to be greatly prized by those who have sincerely repented of their sins and have placed their trust and faith in Jesus Christ as both Savior AND Lord. They abide in Jesus habitually! They are not off somewhere committing willful blatant sin! Once we are in the Body of Christ, we are commanded by the Lord Jesus Christ Himself to remain in Him. To abide in Him and not become withered broken off branches, who will be bundled together and thrown into the fire to be burned, when we cut off fellowship with The Vine! And we do this when we turn our backs on Jesus and get ourselves tangled up and enslaved by sin all over again (study 2 Peter 2: 18-22)!
💥 You cannot live in willful sin and truly expect just because you've "made a confession for Christ" that you have automatic entrance into the Kingdom! We have all been deceived by the apostate church that we can live life in any kind of way, and God must keep His promise of eternal life for all who claim the Name!
Those in the OSAS camp are of the mindset that no true born-again believer can fall from grace and, thereby, lose their salvation no matter how they live their lives! That's great DECEPTION! We can and most certainly forfeit our salvation by returning back to our old wicked ways of living before coming to Christ. The Bible likens that to a dog who returns back to its vomit or like a washed pig who returns back to the mud. Oh, it is possible to lose your salvation that was so graciously given to you! What secures our salvation is repentance and following Jesus faithfully until the end! You have to turn from sin, otherwise, what's the point of receiving a Savior, if you're just going to keep on doing your weed, fornicating, masturbating, lying, stealing and all manners of the works of the flesh?
We must work out our salvation with fear and trembling! The Bible is REPLETE with Scripture after Scripture that warns us of the DANGER when, we who are born-again, GO BACK to practicing habitual sin! Peter tells us, "Therefore, believers, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choosing you [be sure that 👉🏾your behavior reflects and confirms your relationship with God]; for by doing these things [actively developing these virtues], you will never stumble [in your spiritual growth and will live a life that leads others away from sin]; 11 for in this way 👉🏾entry into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be abundantly provided to you" (2 Peter 1:10–11). Amen!
🚩 Hebrews 10:26-27, "For if we go on willfully and deliberately sinning 👉🏾after receiving the knowledge of the truth👈🏾, there no longer remains a sacrifice [to atone] for our sins [that is, no further offering to anticipate], 27 but a kind of awful and terrifying expectation of [divine] judgment and the fury of a fire and burning wrath which will consume the adversaries [those who put themselves in opposition to God]." Amen! 🎯 REPENT and BELIEVE and TURN back to God!
