Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos has sensationally apologised for comments he made during a press conference last week.

The 70-year-old, along with his technical staff, returned to South Africa following a disappointing 2-1 defeat to Morocco in Bafana's opening 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

Speaking at SAFA House last Tuesday, the Bafana mentor went as far as saying that South Africa does not produce "quality players", while also adding that the level of the PSL was "not high enough".
