Episode 25: Influential Immigrant features the incredibly talented, virtuosic and inspirational, Nozomi Omote. She is a Japanese born classical percussionist who is versatile in various style of music. She is also an active educator and composer. We go back to the roots of Nozomi's upbringing in Japan, and her decision to move to Australia. Throughout her musical journey, we discuss the advantages and disadvantages of being an immigrant and the differences in cultures. Now married with two kids, she continuously takes over the music scene with diverse performances in orchestra, chamber, and her new project with Tom Green, Shugorei.
