You may be wondering why I've chosen to get back on my plan (known as "Rezooming" in the Bright Line Eating community) onThanksgiving day and not the day after. If I wait until the day after, I wouldn't have to worry about what I'm eating. I could just eat whatever I want. In fact, I confess that I have taken this approach before when I wanted to excuse myself from doing the necessary work to "stay bright" (on plan). If a birthday came up, I would give myself permission to go off of plan just for that day and go back on plan the next day. Recently, I realized what that was costing me and what I had to gain by resetting and getting back on my plan the day of Thanksgiving - today! I share this with you in hopes that it will help support you through the holidays and adapting to a new, healthier lifestyle.

Trust me! I've had SO much fear and anxiety surrounding the holidays! Up until today (and today is not over yet but I have already chosen to stay on plan today), I had never successfully made it through the holidays on plan. This was the exact time last year that I derailed and had it not been for my doctor, probably would have remained off plan. I had no experience to draw from. YIKES! I want you to know that you're not alone and that this plan is doable no matter what time of year it is.

Happy Thanksgiving! Know how grateful I am for each of you sharing in this journey of food addiction recovery with me. We all deserve to be healthy and experience long-lasting joy.
