Season 1 Episode 9 - Allison Hamilton-Rohe.

In this episode you will hear about Allison’s journey through:

  • the sudden passing of her mother,
  • her daughter’s diagnosis of autism and how it is handled in 2 countries educationally and with support,
  • her father’s passing, and
  • finding a new house in a very synchronistic way.

Allison is a business owner, and each time she had to juggle or rearrange her expectations to shift through this life altering changes. What is remarkable in her stories is that she found her way through it not by her usual means of planning and organizing things but through her belief in her intuition & heart.

None of this was anything I could have anticipated. I’m very organized and when I think back on this period it required me to really tune into my heart and intuition. In a way I had always trusted my gut but always with a plan. And (with these things) I couldn’t have a plan because the field of knowledge surrounding autism is continually expanding.

Later in the interview she says,

Sitting with the uncertainty and being willing to sit in that uncomfortable place and know what you want to have happen and not necessarily know how it’s going to unfold and yet sit there anyway and follow my heart to stay open and believe you’re going to be alright.”
