In this episode I had the privilege of interviewing the legend Marianne Williamson.
For more than four decades, Marianne Williamson has been a leader of spiritually progressive circles. She is the author of 16 books, four of which have been #1 New York Times best sellers. A quote from the mega-bestseller A Return to Love, “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure…” is considered an anthem for a contemporary generation of seekers.
Williamson founded Project Angel Food, a non-profit organization that has delivered more than 18 million meals to ill and dying homebound patients in the Los Angeles area since 1989. The group was created to help people suffering from the ravages of HIV/AIDS. She has also worked throughout her career on poverty, anti-hunger and racial reconciliation issues. In 2004, she co-founded The Peace Alliance and supported the creation of a U.S. Department of Peace. Williamson ran for the democratic nomination for the Presidency of the United States in both 2020 and 2024.

Jeanne Andrus
Jeanne has been helping women navigate their Menopause Journey for well over a decade. It started with her own journey to health and happiness.
When Jeanne realized how little information and support was available as she moved through menopause, she determined that she wanted to help women understand and control the changes that they were going through.
More importantly, she wanted to help them understand how menopause is a gift in their lives, allowing them to move themselves from the periphery of their lives to placing their own desires and purpose into the center of their life.
Finally, Jeanne wanted to help remove the taboo of menopause - the idea that women past menopause are invisible, or over the hill, or all washed up. she often tells the story of how this negative perception of postmenopause is inculcated in us from an early age, and why this is such a wrong perception of the amazing opportunity which menopause opens for women.
Jeanne is a certified Personal Trainer,
Health Coach, and Behavioral Change Specialist through American Council on Exercise. She is the the author of 5 books on menopause, including "I Just Want to Be ME Again!" (now in its 2nd edition) and "Where is My Wife and What Have You Done with Her? A Spouse's Guide to Her Menopause"

A great time to learn about Law of Attraction, the beginning of the new year. Carole Fitzpatrick interviews Zehra Mahoon who has left her main job to concentrate on what was her side earner, teaching the Law of Attraction. This topic has become so popular that Zehra is earning more money teaching her clients through her 10 week programs than her corporate job.
About Zehra is at a place where she feels secure. She feels confident about her future. She feels that she is in control of her life. She feels happy and satisfied with her accomplishments.
But it wasn't always like that. Her life was a mess. She had no money, her husband had cheated on her and left the country, she had no work and was alone in a new country with two little children. That's when she found the Law of Attraction.
The thing is, her story is not like the other stories of immediate success with manifesting that you hear about.
She found Law of Attraction and made a big mess that was her life, a bigger mess.
Yes! She used the tools completely wrong.
You see, she didn't understand nor did she accept the fundamental principles that create success.
That was more than 15 years ago.
Since then, she has learned that Law of Attraction is not a tool - it is a way of looking at life; it is a lifestyle.
She lives it and practices it everyday.
Now it is her mission to make it easy for others to understand and apply the Law of Attraction.
She wants to cut out the crap and the fluffy and sensational headlines and give you the essence of the principles.

Anita enlightens us with her insights into her own menopausal journey during which she realised there was little support & understanding out there for women at the time. As a consequence of that, together with two other colleagues, she set up a workshop tailored specifically for women called ‘Embracing Menopause’. During our conversation she discusses the physiological impact of menopausal symptoms including brain fog and social anxiety, while sharing simple lifestyle choices that can help us ease them. She also discusses the importance of being open and honest about our symptoms in order to create a societal shift and a new vision of menopause as a time of immense personal growth and fulfilment.

Biography
Anita Murphy is a Wellness Coach and a Professional Photographer. In her mid 40s she experienced severe mental health issues, only to discover three years later that her symptoms were linked to the onset of peri-menopause. Her continuing challenges, coupled with the lack of information and awareness in the public domain and among some GPs, has lead her to want to create more awareness and support in our communities and workplaces to empower menopausal women through this transition.
She completed the “Workplace Wellness Post Grad” in NUIG (National University of Galway Ireland) in 2021. Her final project was a program to support menopausal women in the workplace. She has co created the “Embracing Menopause” workshop with her colleagues Laragh Cunningham & Sarah Thornton and they have just recently successfully completed their first in person workshop.

The road to good health was a long & winding one for Magic so during our conversation she wound the clock back to her 20s when life was .... just a little bit wild! Over the course of a decade or so she had two children, went from anorexic to morbidly obese, suffered diabetes, lyme disease, fourth stage cancer & went through a divorce. At one point she had recovered her health fully with diet & exercise, even opening her own gym, but she became sick again. This led her to study very deeply the causative factors of illness. And just when she had recovered her health to a large degree menopause arrived! This was a conversation that really had to start at the beginning so we could fully grasp the incredible knowledge Magic has of the body, it’s systems, the immune system, how mould toxicity plays a major role in ill health and her unique take on what happens at menopause, which she terms ‘adrenopause’ ... something that happens to both women & men she says. One could only describe Magic as a veritable detective when it comes to illness & dis-ease; root causes would have a hard time hiding from her eagle eye!

Veronica often refers to herself as a Grandma (and she is to 11 grandchildren) but that is hard to believe because she is so young and vibrant and full of curiosity! Difficult early beginnings running into early adult life, meant she had to overcome many obstacles which wasn’t easy by any stretch but her indomitable Spirit kept her going. Even with a successful career in Science & Education - come midlife she still suffered from no confidence and low self esteem. When she found herself made redundant at midlife, it turned out to be the ultimate catalyst, kickstarting an entirely new career and changing the course of her life. A wellspring of new talents broke free and soon she was doing things she thought she’d never do, such as going on stage to perform spoken word, among many other things. If you ever thought you couldn’t possibly do something new, then take a listen to Veronica as she would simply inspire anyone to just go for it!

Josie's Botanicals is a dream realised, all the things Barbara loves together. She has always felt her best in nature, inspired by the positive effects of plants and their ability to heal. As a holistic therapist, she knows firsthand the healing power of pure and natural ingredients to reduce the effects of stress and pollution on both body and mind.
Growing up in a family of 11 children, Barbara's mother Josie had a cure for whatever ailed you; she soothed allergies, breakouts, scars and burns with natural remedies passed down through generations of wise and knowledgeable women. Barbara shares her passion for natural health with her siblings, using their heritage to help people restore their skin health.
As a teacher and practitioner of holistic therapies, specialist in natural facials and facial rejuvenation, aromatherapist, reflexologist, massage therapist, and a nutritional therapist; Barbara sees how synthetic chemicals can disrupt the delicate balance of hormones in the body. Over the years, Barbara found it impossible to source products that used 100% pure and natural ingredients to use on sensitive or compromised skin. Eventually drawing on her heritage, she blended the purest organic active ingredients and essential oils to create precise formulations to meet everyday skin concerns. She tested these formulations on friends and family and their symptoms markedly improved. Barbara's inner circle loved the products so much, that they wanted to buy them.
Josie's Botanicals is born out of a passion for natural healing with a focus always on integrity; the packaging is recycled or recyclable, and their products are tested on humans, not animals. Sustainable production with 100% plant-based ingredients designed for maximum results—natural skincare you can trust, with results you will love.

Heather returns to Lady Time with her usual wonderful mix of down-to-earth zany-ness!
Recently she set herself a pretty hefty challenge – a 45 day live instagram-broadcast where she went live everyday for half an hour or so..... that’s a lot of content! It’s one thing to record a podcast, edit and publish at your leisure but going live is a whole other animal!
Why did she put herself through that, you might ask? Well, apart from the need to get out of her comfort zone, she had also just launched her Step into Your Authenticity series in her podcast. And while both are business related, it is relevant to anyone, especially women, wanting to find authenticity in anything they do. The challenge was especially authenticity-inducing in that she had to think on the hop and find inner resources and idea’s that under that kind of pressure, has a tendency to bring out some wonderful raw material that - let’s face it - people just love!
Join me to find out how Heather got on.

Every so often we bring you a conversation about someone’s life & their experiences. This time I chatted with Chikae who spent many years on the stage – a natural singer & dancer and with a father in the business, it was sort of inevitable. Upon leaving Japan in the mid 70s at the tender age of 19yrs and arriving in Los Angeles, she knew immediately she’d come home. She soon realised her childhood dream of appearing in American musicals on Broadway. That’s not all though, for Chikae is a deeply Spiritual woman with an innate ability to both manifest her dreams and connect to her guides, who were truly - and some would say miraculously - there for her when she needed them most. And last but by no means least – she has an incredible affinity with dolphins – her time spent with them will leave you in awe and put a smile on your face! Enjoy! Jill x
..........
Chikae is retired now and enjoys organic gardening, healthy cooking, walking neighbourhood dogs with her own dog and connecting with freedom-loving conscious people.

I invited Martha, a font of wisdom, back to Lady Time to debunk those old and terrible myths about the Crone. I remember in my younger years thinking of her as a horrible wizened old woman, not very nice and not something I ever wanted to become. That, however, is something the Crone is definitely not, and like much of a lot of history, the truth has been skewed and altered around her too. In reality the Crone is something to aspire to, as women move through mid life, menopause and beyond. Join me as Martha does a little bit of revisionism on the history of the Crone! Jill x

Carole interviews Ciara Malone. Ciara is a conceptual artist, photographer, videographer, musician and film-maker. Ciara comes from Cahir in Co. Tipperary and has made the Burren and Co. Clare her home now. From a very early age, she knew she was different. She couldn’t read until she was twelve years of age and she found herself living in a different visual world that seems in ways, parallel to that of her peers. She got her first camera at age 7. She realizes now how that camera was an important tool, helping her to communicate how the world was reflected back at her, and her experience of it. Once in her young hands, her life long trajectory was set in motion. In her midlife Ciara was diagnosed with ADHD.

Ciara has exhibited in old public buildings, abandoned shops, or anywhere that she thinks the everyday person can experience my work. Democratising her art is an important element in my work, allowing it have a further reach than the conventional artworld 'gallery' model.
With her formative years, living over a pub, her life seemed a movie set, full of characters and stories. She is a passionate visual storyteller, using her camera she brings focus to individuals and spaces, observing and teasing out meaning like she once did as a child.

Growing up in the beautiful artistic city of Kilkenny in Southern Ireland, it was no surprise that Liselott became an artist herself. She took a degree in ceramic’s and has been making beautiful pieces ever since. She became a mother at the tender age of 19 and a grandmother at only 41! In 2020 she suffered a ruptured disc in her back causing very severe back pain but as you listen to Liselott tell her story, you will discover someone of great strength of character & determination. Unsurprisingly, in the midst of that very painful journey, she even managed to find the silver lining in that cloud. She is also a committed vegan & animal rights activist. Liselott has lived a lot of life for someone still only in her mid forties. Enjoy!

Gristle is about that moment you've had enough - enough of someone else narrating your story, enough of being polite so as not to offend, enough of not telling your truth. It's about going the journey of biting down deep into that truth, the pain and ugliness of it, the bits that get stuck in your teeth, the gristle of your story and maybe in that way, starting to let go.

Sheila hails from Tuam in Co Galway in Ireland but moved to Boston in the States for a job when she was just 22yrs old thinking she’d be back in Ireland within a couple of years. That was not her destiny .... she soon met her husband-to-be, got married, had two children and when they were born so too was Sheila’s entrepreneurial Spirit. Driven by not wanting to put her children in day care while working in a job that would eat into precious family time, she started her first business. Since then she has had a string of successes. And by midlife, with her children grown into young adults, she revisited some aspects of her life such as her health & fitness and other new directions. Sheila is someone who seems to face risk and challenge and new things with a certain steadfastness & ease. Enjoy her genial nature in this conversation!

Maura set up a bespoke business Seamless Moves to help elderly people. Seamless Moves are there to support the elderly with options to downsize, age in place, find the most suitable nursing home and organise their affairs.
Maura worked in Banking / accounting for years until she took 10 years at home to raise the kids. Maura missed working life and the purpose it gave but knew she didn’t want to get back into the corporate world. Maura felt the best opportunity to get the work life balance was to start something herself although the prospect was a bit daunting. She Stumbled upon an idea when supporting an elderly neighbour who had no family but had to after a fall move into a nursing home and sell up the family home. The concept of seamless moves was born. Couple of twists and turns to get it up and running but only probably happened because a friend suggested she would collaborate with her. www.Seamlessmoves.ie

Martha grew up in New Jersey in a suburb of New York City, the eldest of six girls in a Catholic family. For many years she says she was a talker but not a communicator – anxiety made her talk a lot .... ‘children should be seen and not heard’ is something she heard very often growing up in her household. And whilst she was an exuberant, energetic and life loving individual, life experience began to chip away at her edges until at one point, when her children were still very young, she literally lost her voice. She takes us through the journey of how she found her voice again around about midlife and how in turn she now helps others find theirs again too.

Sam had a two-fold story to share with Lady Time, in his early forties he had a yearning to find out more about his ancestral roots as a British-born Canadian of Indian descent ‘before the thread would be lost forever in the fabric of India’ as he so eloquently put it. Then a few shorts years later he had a pivotal decision to make in his life – stay in his very comfortable pensionable corporate job or leave and jump into the unknown? He chose the latter.
In our conversation he discusses how he navigated that decision when he found himself standing on a precipice with comfort behind him and uncertainty waiting over the edge. Both stories intertwine in a way, where Sam first found a sense of belonging and discovered more of who he was and later realised that the corporate world was no longer a good fit.
Sam authored a book called 'Lost and Found: Seeking the Past and Finding Myself' about the journey seeking his roots.
He also offers affordable coaching for those starting out or rethinking their career.

Feeling restricted in her job by the time she arrived at midlife, Heather decided it was time for a change. At the time she did not consider herself a risk taker but the need for change was strong and so, armed with new ideas and a degree in accountancy, she set herself up as a CPA & Profitability Coach. Heather now works with women who want to change tack in midlife and move into business. She developed a shame-free approach to working with women as she has found that generally speaking, they are more inclined to be more hesitant to talk about money and have a tendency also to price too low for their services. Join us for an engaging discussion with this very vibrant and colourful lady!

Many people develop pelvic floor problems during the course of their lives, such as incontinence (both bladder AND bowel), sexual dysfunction, obstructed defecation and other related painful conditions which can very often be so deeply embarrassing & distressing that they find it difficult, if not impossible, to reach out for help and as a result often suffer in silence. In our discussion Aoife shares an abundance of knowledge gained throughout her career as a physiotherapist specialising in helping people overcome pelvic floor dysfunction. We wanted to have an in-depth discussion about all aspects of it especially the embarrassing bits so that anyone listening might not feel so alone and know there absolutely is help out there. Aoife says no amount of leakage is normal, and even a 100-year-old muscle can be trained. Pelvic Floor Muscle problems are truly awful, but with pelvic floor muscle training the results are great!

Lisa felt adrift when an early menopause made itself known in her life at the age of only 41. In our conversation she shared what a lonely place it was to be in, that came with a feeling of disempowerment. The turning point for her came whilst sharing her story in a women’s circle, something she wasn’t keen on doing at the time but later came to know the absolute value of sharing your story with others. In the circle she met a woman called Diane Danzebrink author of ‘Make Menopause Matter’ and that opened up a whole new vista of understanding for her. She was more than happy to share her story again here on Lady Time.

If you haven’t listened to the first part of this incredible conversation with Allison, then please go listen now … it will be worth it!
Allison is a former elite ski racer & coach and present-day artist, writer & investigative journalist. In the first half of our conversation she shared what it was like growing up in America during the 1950s, 60s & 70s. In this second half she continues her life-story where she became an investigative journalist at the age of 59 and later picks up on her much earlier life (touched on briefly in part one) and of the early childhood trauma she suffered which coloured much of the rest of her life; some of which hindered her greatly and some of which helped her equally as greatly. At a later stage she began a deep healing process which continues to this day. Join us for Allison’s thoughtful articulation of the complexity of the world we live in.

Jill had a long & interesting conversation with Allison, a former elite ski racer & coach and present day artist, writer & investigative journalist. She shared what it was like growing up in America during the 1950s, 60s & 70s at a time when so much was happening. America had just come out of World War II entering the Cold War with Russia (as had the rest of the Western world), McCarthyism had taken hold, the Civil Rights Movement was in full swing, a counter culture movement was rising, President Kennedy was assassinated, the Vietnam War was raging and the anti-war protests were sweeping across the country. Allison experienced all of this in her younger life alongside the gruelling training required to become an athlete at the top of her game whilst still only a teenager. Join us for her unique perspective on a pivotal time in history during this the first half of a truly engaging conversation.

Born in England of Irish parents, Anthony grew up in Brixton, South London during the 70s & 80s. He had many stories to share which he does with great flair & humour such as the wonderful friendship he had with Doll his 70yr old neighbour when he was just 5 yrs old and whose influence was to have far reaching affects on his life. What it was like growing up as an immigrant which brought its own challenges in trying to balance between two cultures & finding his identity within that. His love and flair for food & cooking, his early interest in politics and how his Beloved dog helped him make the decision to become vegan and subsequently open his now flourishing delicatessen & bakery. And we did of course cover Anthony's midlife journey too where age he says, has given him a new lens.

I loved interviewing Vinny. He is on of the most generous and bravest people I know. Vincent Hyland is a multi award winning publisher (Wild Ireland), outdoor environmental educator, wildlife documentary film maker, artist and musician. His documentary collaborations and TV appearances include working with the BBC natural history unit and RTE - Ireland's national TV station. He is a regular guest presenter discussing all things wildlife on RTE's flagship afternoon show the Today Show.
His underwater wildlife films have taken him to places such as Antarctica where he led an expedition bringing the first all Irish group to the white continent in honour of the then unknown Antarctic hero Tom Crean and Galapagos to film whale sharks and its endemic wildlife.
Vincent's love of technology saw him being an early adopter of digital publishing in the mid 1980s and he spent the emote decade of the 1990s working at Microsoft.
Vincent was the creator of the European Broadcasting prize winner 'Nestwatch'. This live stream followed the lives of a nesting pair of birds and was broadcast on the Internet in the years 2000 and 2001. It was the very 1st live stream of a wildlife event in Europe.
As a family, Vincent, together with his partner Mo and son Neil won the national Heritage Week Award for County Kerry in 2020 for their online series 'Young Explorer'. They also appeared on RTÉ TV's Nationwide combining Mo's love of foraging and cooking with local ingredients and their coastal outdoor eco exploits.
Vincent was a founder member of the original Kerry Dark Sky Group that established the Kerry International Dark Sky Reserve and achieved gold tier status from the International Dark Sky Association (IDA) for the quality of its night skies and is now a favourite amongst visitors to the area interested in astronomy.
His latest collaboration was to work with the world class Irish Chamber Orchestra when he created Fiadh's Voyage - a poetic film that follwed a seabird as it journeyed around its home in the Atlantic ocean. Set to Felix Mendelson's 'Fingals Cave' and performed by the Irish Chamber Orchestra this was a huge online success.
Vincent developed an outdoor ecology business at Derrynane where he takes parents and their children into the great outdoors. Together with Parknasilla resort Vincent created their hugely successful eco discovery walk. This immersive journey takes guests on a trek through the coastal expanses of the resort giving them insights into coastal biodiversity, health and wellness and is peppered with folklore and local maritime history. Finding the creatures of the shoreline is a particular highlight.

Continuing my conversation with Nicole she discusses the importance of building resilience from a young age, as life will always throw curve balls your way. About not giving advice and of taking your own counsel. We also talk at length about her work in a women’s prison in Tel Aviv in Israel and in Wheatfield prison for men. We top if all off with her passion for tango and how her trip to Argentina inspired the play she wrote & performed called Baggage (discussed in Part 1).

Nicole knows how to tell a story, she knows how to write one too and she also knows how to perform one. In this first part of our long conversation she describes how middle age somehow arrived unannounced into her life bringing with it the ending of a long relationship, the pain of not having children, society’s (and in particular women’s) attitude to women without children , the process of writing and being able to use that ability to help dig her out of her own repetitive narrative at times. Arriving at 50 last year Nicole had found much to write about in the lead up… in particular Gristle and Baggage, two pieces she wrote and performed which are very much centred in the space her characters found themselves in at middle age. I think you will enjoy Nicole’s engaging & refreshing take on things at this the middle stage.
(Coming up in Part 2 Nicole talks about the building of resilience from the curve balls life threw her way, working in both men and women’s prisons & her passion for tango).

Emer grew up in Northern Ireland during what is known as The Troubles (a period of conflict in Northern Ireland that lasted about 30 years from the late 1960s to the 1990s). Like many growing up in the midst of a conflict it coloured her outlook and in her case career choices - she first became a lawyer and later moved into advocacy taking an interest in the area of elders in particular. She shares her experience of midlife especially those things that affect of lot of people at this time such as growing children and aging parents.
This conversation will help trigger long term thinking about how we might plan for our own later lives, as well as thinking about approaching those sometimes difficult conversations with aging parents. Later in our conversation Emer discusses what can practically be done such as family decisions, financial, legal & medical matters. As she says, the sooner we have those conversations the better and easier it will be in the long run.

In this episode Carole talks to trauma expert Susanna Sweeney about her midlife experience, what is was like growing up in East Berlin and about her different techniques she uses to help people with trauma in a shorter time than talk therapies.
Susanna Sweeney has been helping people change their lives for over 25 years. She is a Sensorimotor Psychotherapist, also trained in EMDR and an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. More recently, she has added Havening Techniques to her toolbox.
She helps people overcome the effects of all kinds of trauma right down to the more difficult to spot but pervasive effects of developmental (childhood) trauma in ultra short term therapy programmes.
Any frustrations in life such as feeling unfulfilled in business and life, or symptoms such as anxious feelings, or low mood, even chronic pain usually link back to some event that has been traumatically encoded by the brain.
Susanna sees it as her mission to help her clients overcome these symptoms and frustrations so they can increase their enjoyment levels in life and their earning potential in business.
Having fallen in love with Havening Techniques, she now also trains people professionals and those to be in this wonderful modality that’s already actively changing the face of the therapy, healing and coaching space.
For those interested in Susanna's short term therapy programme looking to resolve issues like anxiety, low mood, chronic pain or migraines, PTSD, you can look me up here and get an idea of my thinking on these issues:www.onlinehypnotherapyclinic.com/about-me.html
For people professionals such as holistic practitioner, coaches, therapists and counsellors- I am a trainer of the neuroscience based Havening Techniques and I love spreading knowledge of one of the most exciting modalities in the therapy world today- I do regular free “masterclasses” which are an opportunity to get to know this groundbreaking work- to avail of those you can follow my personal profile on FB or look up www.onlinehypnotherapyclinic.com/havening-techniques-introduction.html
Rab is my next door neighbour! We've had many's a chat across the fence (or wall in our case) but this time we put some structure on it and saved it for Lady Time. I hope you enjoy Rab's take on toxic masculinity, a subject he truly considers especially as a father of two boys, along with an interesting take on his journey through writing and the struggle to make an income from it. However, despite that and having reached middle age, a time when artists often give up (or sometimes have no choice) his desire to create is as strong as ever, it's something he simply must do.

One of six girls Rebecca grew up amidst a lively & cultured family where dinner table conversations were always interesting and you had better have something to say! So it was no surprise she ended up in the storytelling arena as a film producer, not necessarily an easy career to have chosen and certainly not for women in the time she started out but this never phased Rebecca, in fact it never occurred to her she couldn’t do it. She tells us of that experience and of another more poignant one trying to become pregnant in the aftermath of overcoming ovarian cancer in her late 20s. Join us for an engaging conversation with Rebecca looking back over her life from the vantage point of midlife.
James Finney hails from the UK, is one of the 40 odd million outside of Ireland with Irish roots and is also our third man to share a cuppa on Lady Time. We are very lucky to have him ... and you’ll find out why when you listen in. He has a lot to share while taking us on a colourful journey through his midlife. He tells us of the bouts of depression he has lived through over the past 25 years and of being a father to a child with life challenges. Although he is not one (but easily could’ve been) James encompasses the essence of a comedian with a core that speaks volumes about the pain of the human condition yet somehow manages to deliver it all with humour… even in the face of death.

A quote from Nicolette Sowder describes Chris Molloy to me 'Give me the wild children with their bare feet and sparkling eyes', Chris describes herself as having been a wild child, she became a mother while she was still at school. Having a child so young presented many challenges that Chris overcame, she went to college and started work in the financial sector and then in recruitment and she got married and had more children. Chris loved going to yoga classes and a few years ago she trained as a yoga teacher and she now has a very successful teaching practice using her skills and time in the business sector to help her with her teaching practice. Chris teaches online and when there are no covid restrictions she loves to teach outdoors in parks, in studios, in companies and in colleges. She also is involved in a new program with the national maternity hospital for young teenage mothers. You can find Chris on line at chrismolloyyoga.com, insta @chrismolloyyoga and facebook chrismolloyyoga and linkedin Christine Molloy

This episode I speak with the very articulate and wise woman Mari Kennedy. Mari shares her wisdom on Celtic traditions and more, she is a living and glowing example of how we can apply the wisdom of our foremothers and forefathers to our lives today. Her work is a synthesis of ancient and contemporary wisdom weaving strands of ancestral wisdom with neuroscience, developmental psychology and integral theory. This is Next Stage Wisdom.
Mari is a women’s leadership coach, Celtic wisdom holder, entrepreneur, Integral Facilitator, mindfulness, yoga, and embodiment teacher. Mari's Soul’s Work is activating the wisdom and power that, she believes, resides in every woman. She has dedicated the last 15+ years to this path, devoted to her own development, studying many wisdom traditions, coaching and mentoring women all over the world and creating a business that is founded on new female leadership. Over those years Mari has walked the heroine’s journey from exhausted disconnected woman “living the dream” to living fully alive in the messiness and magnificence of being a woman in the 21st century. In 2018 Mari founded Thecelticwheel.com a global online programme bringing together women with my body of work based on the Celtic calendar.

Aprile Blake is a medical anthropologist, a writer and a healer. In comparison to her health issues in her life to date peri-menopause was a pretty non eventful transition. Aprile developed a brain tumor on her pituitary gland in her early 20's and this meant living with a condition called acromegaly. Aprile describes her healing journey where she spent time living in Peru with amazonian women and also to Africa where she felt like she was coming home. Aprile is very inspirational, she endured very difficult challenges here because of how she looked and she managed to turn her attitude around and live in a more harmonious way with herself. Aprile has a very compassionate view towards the illness she has lived with, life and more. Aprile's website is www.dawnoverwater.net
