God is raising up a Daniel company of prophetic voices who live in surrender to his voice without compromise, walk in radical compassion toward all, who are completely reliant upon grace, are teachable in a quest for understanding, and walk in intimate humility before God. You can see how someone lives before God by how they walk before men. Someone who is arrogant before men will not suddenly turn and walk humbly before God. If you live humbly before God, you’ll have no problem honoring all men, as the Apostle Peter admonished us to do. As I consider the landscape of voices in the church today, I wonder how far many of us would have walked in Daniel’s shoes before we snap and become martyrs on the altar of our own self righteousness? The way that seems right may not be something that’s actually sinful. It may seem right because it IS right. But if the Bible teaches us anything it’s that God is not obligated to step in on every fight we pick. Wherever he guides us he empowers us. If you get any one revelation out of this podcast I pray it’s this. Develop a relationship with God and learn to listen to and rely upon his voice. “The voice of God is a friendly voice. No one need fear to listen to it unless he has already made up his mind to resist it.” AW Tozer.
