Helen served with the Met Police and then became the first mother to serve with SO19 (Met’s Firearms Unit) she survived being stabbed, blown up and also shot. She was awarded a Queen’s Commendation for Brave Conduct. Helen was later medically discharged with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. She has since gone onto becoming a world record holder.
