Language is a powerful tool, and sometimes we get into the habit of labeling others by putting them into predetermined boxes or masks. Although it's important to be vigilant and to have boundaries, let us make sure that we don’t label people as good or bad, friends or enemies, with us or against us, but instead differentiate the perspective we may agree or disagree with from the person. As we learn to live more authentically and true to who we are, we begin to see ourselves and everyone else as whole beings who have multiple roles, labels, and masks that can exist at the same time.
