From the dawn of time and the caveman, survival has been the primary driver. One of the things that can throw your ability to do so may boil down to root chakra problems.

The root chakra or sacral chakra as it is also called is the energy center that grounds you to your earth. It is the energy center that allows you to relate to the planet itself and physical reality. You may want to call this ability your "survival instinct" and it is a critical capability.

Let us quickly look at the chakra system itself. The word "chakra" originates in Sanskrit and is translated as "wheel". This is because when you view a chakra it will see wheels of energy that are constantly whirling or revolving. Not everyone sees chakras but those who do are called Clairvoyants who will see them as variously colored wheels or vortexes.
