Janeen Silcock is the Principal of Ballina Coast High School in Ballina, New South Wales, Australia.

Janeen began her teaching career 39 years ago, initially training as a primary teacher. Her career evolved with her passion for literature and performance, and she spent many years as english drama teacher in secondary schools, before moving into school leadership.

In 2015, Janeen took the opportunity to re-design pedagogy in a new building, Ballina Coast High School.

Janeen is currently doing her doctoral thesis on this leadership journey.

Janeen Silcock joins us this week to discuss how she designed a new high school using the best aspects of the K-6 structure and implementing them in the secondary environment.
