From the 5:30pm Scripture Service on Ash Wednesday, February 17, 2021.

On Ash Wednesday, we are reminded that we are going to die, and we don't get to say when. So we start preparing for it now.

Correction: In the homily I put a lot of emphasis on the order in which Jesus says: "Repent, and believe in the Gospel" (Mark 1:15), as if we have to repent first, and then believe in the Gospel. I'm not so sure my emphasis is correct. Jesus is clearly preaching the Gospel before He delivers this line. It is through hearing the Gospel that we are driven/inspired to repent.
