From the 9:30am Mass on Sunday, February 6, 2022, at Our Lady of Sorrows in Farmington.
(This is last weeks' homily, I just came off of retreat and did not preach this week.)
I discuss:
- Heaven and Hell. "Depart from me, Lord." God sends no one to hell, but we can send ourselves.
- Conversion. Conversion is hard work, it is the Cross. As the first reading suggests, it is like a burning ember in the mouth.
- Evangelization. This is the main point of today's readings. The Lord calls us and equips us (despite our sins, and often through our sins) to go into the deep and assist Him in His work.
Throughout history, crazy times bring about saints. We are entering very crazy times, it is time for saints.
