A strong Dunghutti woman born in Tweed Heads, New South Wales, Sam Harris grew up in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales. Her mother is an Indigenous Australian member of the Stolen Generations, originally of the Dunghutti tribe, and her father is of German and English descent. She attended Tweed River High School. Sam started her career as an Australian model at the tender age of 11 as a very shy young girl (in her own words). Her mum always had faith that she would grace the cover of Girlfriend. She has traveled to New York, graced the cover of Vogue and so much in between. She shares with us the challenges of her journey and the wisdom she has gained from relentlessly pursuing her dreams and never giving up. Now Sam, in between traveling and being busy working. Also makes time to speak in schools and community sharing her journey and wisdom.
