What would you do if you knew a thief was coming to your home today? I hope you will prepare! Be Ready to open the door * Be Ready for service and keep your lamps lit * You are to be like people waiting for the master to return from the wedding banquet so that when he comes and knocks on the door they can open * Blessed are those whom the master finds alert when he comes * He will get ready to recline and serve them * If he comes in the middle of the night or near dawn and he finds them alert blessed are those who are alert * If the homeowner knew the thief was coming he would not let his house be broken into * You must also be ready because you do not know when the Son of man is coming when you least expect him
Be faithful * The master put faithful managers in charge of his household * Blessed is the servant who is found doing his job when the Master returns * He will put him in charge of all his possessions * But the servant who says my master is delaying his coming and begins to beat his servants eats and gets drunk when the master comes on that unexpected he hew will cut him into pieces and assign him to a place with the unfaithful * The servant who knows that his master will and does not do it will be severely punished * The servant who didn't know and did what deserved punishment will receive a light beating * For everyone who has given much, much will be required and from the one who has been entrusted with much even more will be expected * Jesus says he came to bring fire on the earth (judgment -what does fire do REFINE * I wish it were already here to set it ablaze * BUT I have a baptism (the crucifixion and resurrection) * How it consumes me until IT IS FINISHED the mission would be complete * Do you think I come to bring peace? Peace with God those who choose to be his disciples * Unbelievers remain at odds with God and His requirements
Be Reconciled * He compares it to a legal dispute reconciles to God before you get to the court of final judgment when the Gravel is down it is done * Settle the account before it is too late
If Jesus were to come today will you be found ready, and in faith?
Have you been reconciled to Christ through this finished work at the cross?

Apart from a personal relationship with Jesus, your prayers are void-GB
The Desire to Learn to Pray * Jesus was praying in a certain place * The disciple asked to be taught to pray. Prayer can be taught and shown by example. * They see him praying and they want to pray for themselves
He tells them what to say :
Persistent Prayer He then gives the story of the persistent friend who needed bread and his friend didn't have anything but his friend but because of his friend's boldness he will get up and help him
Our Earthly parents if we ask for something we'll try their best to give us what we asked for and not the opposite so how much more will our heavenly father give us the good gifts
The greatest gift that he gives us is the gift of the Holy Spirit
How is your prayer life?
Jesus > Satan * Jesus is casting out a demon and someone who is mute * The person begins to speak everyone is amazed so they say that he is driving out demons with demons * Others told him to do a sign from heaven despite his continuously doing all of these Miracles healing and casting out evil people still did not want to believe * He said that a kingdom against itself would be divided in a house divided against itself will fall and he said if Satan is divided against himself how can his kingdom stand * Then he kind of like roasted them he said that if I'm driving out by saying then how y'all driving it out but if I drive them out by the Finger of God and the kingdom of God has come near you * He was letting them know that he was driving this out through his power and God * He next says that when a strong man fully armed guards his house his possessions are safe but when someone stronger than him attacks and overpowers him and takes away his armor that * Plunder his stuff-divides his spoils satan thinks he is winning for now but God is taking Satan’s kingdom one by one * Whoever is not with me is against me whoever does not gather with me scatter
If you are not on God’s side then you are on satans
There is no middle no neutral
Why would you want to stay on the losing team?
To be undecided is to be decided
The two forces are at work, trying to win your allegiance
One will win
Any vacancy in your heart? * Vacant hearts have opportunities if your heart is not occupied by Jesus then there is a vacancy for Satan * It goes back to the house because there is not a resident * he says when an evil spirit comes out of a man it goes through places looking for rest and does not find it * this lets us know that demonic spirits love to find a body to reside in a place to take up residence I will return to the house I left and even though it's been swept clean and put so that is going to come back seven times more wicked than itself and go in and live there and at the final state was worse than the first state
To empty the evil we must fill with Jesus and his Holy Spirit
The Chew
We must train ourselves to pray on every occasion and we must make sure we are in the right standing with God to pray
"Prayer always begins with a relationship. If there is not an established relationship, there is no basis for prayer. The Father's ear is always open to the children's cry. And if you have that relationship with God where you can say, "Father," then you've established that relationship that opens prayer for you, effective prayer for you. But if you do not have that relationship, then prayer is meaningless. There is only one prayer that God wants to hear from you if you are not His child, and that's the prayer, "God, be merciful to me a sinner." And that establishes then relationship, and opens this glorious opportunity of prayer for each one of you. But prayer begins with relationship" Chuck Smith

To grow a seed must be planted
On Tour with Jesus * Jesus is on a tour of the nearby town and villages * Preaching the good news with his 12 disciples * Some healed women with him on the journey * They had been healed of demonic and diseases * They were using their own resources
The Farmer Did His Job * He gives this parable about a farmer scattering seed * The seed fell on 4 types of soil * Footpath-stepped on and eaten by birds * Rocks-wilted and died from lack of moisture ( you have go to be watered by the Word) * Thorny-grew and choked * Fertile-produced a crop hundredfold * They all grew but all were affected by the circumstances surrounding them * Which soil are you in? * He uses parables fulfilled with scriptures * He explains the meaning * The Footpath- hear the message, only to have the devil snatch and prevent them from believing and being saved * Rocky- hear, receive with joy, don't have roots so they believe for only a little while fall away from face temptation * Thorny-hear the message but quickly gets crowded out by the cares, riches, and pleasures of this life, never matures * Fertile-honest good-hearted people who hear the word and cling to it and patiently produce a harvest
Shine your light and Listen * No one hides lamps around their house * It's on a stand display * Where are your lamps? How is it shining? Our witness is public. * What secret will be brought out in the open * Everything concealed will be revealed * Therefore consider how you hear. * Listen and get more understanding * Don’t listen and what you understand will be taken away from you
Hear the Word and obey it * Jesus mother and brothers came to see him and they couldn't get to hi * So they sent the word to your family outside * Jesus responds my mother and brothers are those who hear the Word and obey it * Are you in Jesus' Family?
Where is your faith? * Jesus said Let’s go to the other side of the lake * They get in the boat * Jesus takes a nap * They failed to realize Jesus said they were going to get to the other side * Fierce storm, boat filling up, they were in danger * They woke him up shouting we are going to drown * Jesus woke up and rebuked the wind and the waves, all is calm * He asked them Where is your faith? * Their eyes were on the storm and not the Savior * They were terrified and amazed * Who is this man? * The wind and waves obey him * They have seen his authority over the death, the sick, and now the creation and they still asking who is this man * We must see Jesus for who he is. * Rebuke the storms when they arise don't wait until the water fills the boat
Chew
We must have fertile soil, watered daily by the Word of God to obey and shine our light and to walk by faith

Jesus showed Willingness to be with all the people who needed him.
When you sought Jesus who did you see? Are you believing in his message or rejecting it?
Repentance was in her actions. Her sin was loud but her repentance was louder.
Jesus looked at what she was doing not what she did.
Public repentance and public forgiveness
Salvation involves humility. She came behind Jesus but she showed. No matter what the past looked like for you. The future can be forgiveness

Jesus raises us from the coffin of our sin to new life in Him I Have Not Found Such Great Faith * Jesus is in Capernaum * A highly valued slave was sick and nearing death * He was the slave of a Roman officer * The officer heard about Jesus, and he sent some Jewish leaders to ask him to come and heal his slave * They earnestly begged Jesus to come with them and help the man who felt that he deserved the help bc of his love for the Jews and he built them a synagogue He was uncertain if Jesus was going to grant a Gentile request. Jesus is for everyone * Jesus went with them * Right before they get to the house the officer sends word to Jesus that he should not trouble himself by coming to his house because he feels unworthy for Jesus to enter his house so he said Just say the word from where you are and my servant will be healed * He explains that he is a man under authority and he has authority and he only needs to say Go and his servants go and come and they come do and they do. He was humble * Jesus was amazed and he turned to the crowd and said I tell you, (the crowd) I haven’t seen faith like this in all the land of Israel that gentile understood his authority and not his own chosen people * When the officers who were sent went back to the house they found the slave completely healed
What does your faith look like right now in the eyes of Jesus?
Get Up * Jesus went village with his disciples with a great crowd following * A funeral procession was coming out as he approached the village * The boy who died was the only son of a widow she would have no hope and no support * The Lord saw her and was overflowed with compassion * Don’t cry * Jesus walked to the coffin touched it and the bearers stopped * Young man, Get up * The dead boy sat up, began to talk * Jesus gave him back to his mother this was the first time he raised someone from the dead * Great awe and praise * We have seen the hand of God at work today * The news spread all over Judea and surrounding areas * Jesus is saying to the woman and us don't cry get up I can handle rather it is what you are dealing with hurt, pain, and grief. He has compassion on us just this women * We see salvation in this we were dead in the coffin of sin like this boy and Jesus loved you and had compassion on you while you were still sinners and he called you to get up and be raised from death to life.
Should We Expect Someone Else * John’s disciples told him about everything Jesus was doing * John sent two of them to ask Jesus * Are you the Messiah we are expecting or should we expect someone else? * At that very time, he cured many people of their various diseases, cast out evil spirits, and restored sight to the blind * They were expecting a Messiah and asking should expect someone else. Who are you expecting him to deal with life in the world as we have seen that is going crazy the only hope you have is to put your trust in Jesus and surrender your life to him * John needed reassurance and so do we when we are suffering and it's about to take our doubts and questions to God we just don't stay there
God Blessed those who are not offended by me * Jesus tells them to Go back and report to John * What you seen * What you heard * The blind see * The lame walk * The Lepers are cured * The deaf hear * The dead are raised to life * The Good News is being preached to the poor * God blessed those who are not offended by me
They said a mighty prophet has risen among us when it was God himself in the flesh in the form of Jesus
The Chew: To Have Faith in the authority of Jesus to get us up when and down to raise us from the dead place of sin. We are to expect Him alone, He is the one who blesses us.

Day 11 Luke 6: 17-49
Jesus is teaching the disciples
The Beatitudes - God blessed the poor - the Kingdom of God is theirs (spiritually poor)
God blessed the hungry now -they will be satisfied (spiritual appetite)
God blessed those who weep now they will laugh with joy (spiritual grief over sin)
You may be experiencing this now but not always
God blessed the hated, excluded, mocked, cursed-identifited with me the Son of Man
Because he was hated, excluded, mocked, and cursed
When these things happen to you -rejoice
Your reward is in heaven
He reminds them that their ancestors were mistreated as well
The Sorrows
Who does sorrow await?
The rich -you have your only happiness now they have no spiritual wealth
The satisfied and prosperous now time of awful hunger is before you
You who laugh carelessly-laughing will turn to mourning and sorrow
Praised by the crowds- ancestors also praised false prophets
They may have now but will lack later
Divine approval over human praise
Love for Enemies
If you are willing to listen ( to do these you have a willingness
Love your enemies
Do good to those who hate you
Pray for those who curse you
Pray for those who hurt you
Turn the other cheek
Give what you have to anyone who asks
Do for others as you would like to do them
Do you deserve credit for loving those who love you, even sinners do that
If you do good to those who do good to you is that wonderful sinner do that
Lend money to those who can repay even sinners do that
Love your enemies do good to them lend to them don't be concerned if they can repay bc the reward from heaven will be great and you are acting like children on the Most High
Because he is kind to the unthankful and the wicked
Be compassionate bc your Father is compassionate
Judgment
Stop judging and you will not be judged this verse is about discernment
Stop criticizing others or it will come back on you
Forgive others you will be forgiven
Give and you will receive
Your gift will return to you in full measure pressed down and shaken together to make room for more running over
What you use in the measure that the standard measure you will be used
The blind leads the blind to death you need someone who can See to lead those who reject Christ and teach others to do so will end up in destruction
The student is not greater than the teacher the one who works hard will be like the teacher. Christ is our teacher and we are to be like him
Be careful about following the wrong person
Worry about the log in your own eyes vs the speck in your friends
Hyporcrietes one who pretends to be someone else
Deal with you first then you will see well enough to worry about someone else
The Tree and its Fruit A good tree can't produce bad fruit
Bad trees can't produce good fruit
A tree is identified by the fruit it produces
A good person produces good deeds from a good heart
An evil person produces evil deeds from an evil heart
You can identify people who follow God based on what they say and do
Whatever is in your heart determines what you say
Two Foundations Why do you call me Lord when you won't obey me or do what I say
I will show you what it is like to
A person who builds their house on a strong foundation when the floodwaters rise and break against the house
It stands bc it well built
Your foundation determines your future
Listening and not obeying
Like a house without a foundation when the flood goes against it, it will crumble into a heap of ruins

The Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath * Jesus was going through the grainfields and his disciples began to eat some of the kernels from the grain * God had commanded the Sabbath to be a time of rest and no work no labor * The Pharisees asked them why they were doing something unlawful on the Sabbath * Jesus answered them with Word about David and his companions eating the consecrated bread which was unlawful b/c it was only for the priest * He then tells them The Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath ( he wass affirming his deity he was the Lord who created the Sabbaath and had the authority to make exceptioon * On another Sabbath, he was teaching in the synagogue and a man whose right hand was shriveled * The Pharisees were looking for a reason to accuse Jesus so they watched him closely to see if he would heal on the Sabbath * Jesus knew what they were thinking
Get Up and Stand in Front of Everyone * Jesus tells the man with the shriveled hand to Get Up and stand in front of everyone * So he gets up and stands there * Jesus asked them two questions * Which is lawful on the Sabbath: To do good or to do evil * To save life or to destroy it? * They were more concerned about the law than freedom for the man
Stretch out your hand * He looks at all of them and then at the man he stretch out your hand * The man did * He was completely restored * They were furious and began to discuss what to do about Jesus
Calling the Disciples * This is the third portion of Scripture that we have read that reminds us to pray * Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray * He spent the night praying to God * After spending time with God, he called his disciples and chose 12 designated disciples * Disciples means learner or follower * Apostles means sent one * Simon peter * Andrew * James * John * Philip * Bartholomew * Matthew * Thomas * James * Simon * Judas (Jude) * Judas- the traitor
What can we learn?

Your Foundation Determines Your Future
Luke 5
Don’t be afraid; from now on you will catch men * Jesus is teaching the Word of God and the people are listening * Simon Peter had left his boat and was washing his nets * Jesus gets in Simon’s boat and asks Simon to push it out and little from the shore and he continues to teach from the boat * After teaching, He told Simon to Put out into the deep water and let down the nets for a catch. * We cant pick up what we are not willing to down * Simon objects stating that they had worked all night and haven’t caught anything BUT IF YOU SAY SO, I WILL LET DOWN THE NETS * Obedience produces blessings. He blesses us so we can bless others * They caught so much that their nets began to break and they had to call for help * They filled two boats and they were so full they began to break * When this happened Simon Peter fell to his knees and told Jesus to get away because he was a sinful man His holiness exposes our sinfulness * They were astonished. He had John and James the sons of Zebedee with him * Jesus tells Simon “Dont be afraid from now on you will catch men * They pulled the boats and left everything and followed him * Are you willing to leave everything to follow him? * If you say, I will -________ what needs to go and be put down in your life so you can pick up your blessings
I am willing * Jesus was in a town and the many was covered with leprosy * Same response as Peter. When he saw Jesus he fell to the ground and begged him
Lord, if you are willing you can make me clean only Jesus can make you clean
Where do you need healing
Your sins are forgiven * Jesus was teaching and the Pharisees and the teachers of the law were there * The power of the Lord was present for him to heal the sick * Some men carrying their disabled friend on a mat tried to take him into the house to lay him before Jesus * When they could not find a way * They went up on the roof and lowered him into the middle of the crowd * Right in front of Jesus * Friend that lay you before Jesus in prayer. * Friends that make a way * Friends that will not be afraid of the crowd and will stand in the middle with you * Friends that stand with you in front of Jesus * Jesus saw their faith. * Jesus called the man a Friend * Your sins are forgiven * The Pharisees and the teachers of the law thought Jesus was blaspheming bc only God can forgive sins * Jesus knew their thoughts and addressed the heart * Why are you thinking these thoughts in your heart? * The heart and mind intertwined * Is it easier to be healed spiritually or physically? * The Son of Man has the authority on Earth to forgive sins * Jesus tells the paralyzed man get up, take your mat, and go home * The mat to remember the healing? * He stood up and took the he had been lying on and went home praising God * Everyone was amazed and praised God filled with awe saying “We have seen remarkable things today * As I have stated before physical and spiritual healing are both necessary for total wholeness. His greatest need was to be forgiven of his sin and Jesus knew that * Why did he take the mat instead of leaving? * When we get up don't forget the healing we received we look back on what was Lying on and we praise God for taking us up from that mat * How are you faith friends
Follow Me * Jesus saw tax collector Levi * Jesus just walked up to Levi and said Follow Me * Levi got up and left everything and followed him * Levi hosted these banquet for Jesus at his house and a large crowd of tax collectors and others were eating with them He was sharing his changed life with others * The phrases on the scene again complaining asking Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners * Jesus -it's not the healthy who need a doctor but the sick I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance * The fact that Jesus walked up and this man just followed him * Who did you need to share the gospel with
In those days they will fast * They asked him about John’s disciples often fasting and praying and so do the Pharisees disciples but they keep on eating and drinking * Jesus answered Can you make the guest of the bridegroom fast while he is with them * The time would come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them and in those days they will fast * He ends with a parable * Jesus was bringing something new and they wanted the old * No one who welcomes him would say the old was better after they have tasted and seen the Lord is good.

You may have seen the ad during the Super Bowl of the Jesus Get Us
I wanted to take a look at the context of the Scripture with You.
The ad seems to protray the idea the we are supposed to wash the feet of our neighbor regardless of their race, faith, or lifestyle.
While we are called to love our neighbor. We don’t love their sinful lifestyle that is contratry to the True gospel of repentance and salvation.
We are called to use the Scriptures to teach rebuke
All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training in righteousness,
Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching. 2 Tim 4:2
When Jesus met people who were stuck in sin. He forgives them. And he told them to go and sin no more not just He gets us in our sin. He meet us in our sin. He forgives the sin that we confess to him We see that sin as he see it.
We don't just wash the feet and walk away.
2 Corithians 5:1-10, Revelation 21:1-4
New Body for New Jerusalem
Tent to a house * We are going to get upgraded when we die or raptured to an eternal body * Tent is the state we are in now. Tent get tragedy worn down blow away by circumstance * We have a body made by God and now our parents. * This body gets weary and worn down and we long for a change * We will put on heavenly bodies and we will not be spirits without bodies * This earthly body groans and sighs * We desire new bodies * God has prepared us for this and secured with the Holy Spirit * The spirit is a down payment
Almost Home * We can be confident that although not home yet we will one day be home with the Lord. * Believe not seeing * No matter whether we are here in this body or away from this body the goal is to please God * We will stand before Christ and receive what we deserve based on what we did in this earthly body (not for eternal destination but eternal reward) obedience
Heaven comes down for us * The old heaven and earth will disappear * The sea is one * The holy city of new Jerusalem will come down like a brided dress beautiful for her husband * He will live with them * They will be his people * God will be with them * He will wipe away tears death sorrow crying pain * All these things are gone forever
The Word starts with the creation of the world as we know it. The Word ends with the creation of a new heaven and earth that is reserved for those who accept his gift of salvation. Will you experience the New Heaven and Earth?
1 John 3:11-24
The Message was love from the beginning * We should love another * We shouldn’t be like Cain * Cain belonged to the evil one and did what was evil and he killed his brother because he was doing what was righteous
Cain didn't love Abel. He wanted what Abel had. A right relationship with God with the wrong methods and motives. God wants all of us. Not some half-unacceptable offering and expecting God’s blessings on half-doings.
If you want a relationship with someone who you admire in the faith you have to go and seek God for yourself.
The World Hates You V 13
Love is the proof * If we love brothers/sisters who believe it proves we have passed from death to life * A person with no love is dead * Anyone who ates another bro/sis is a murderer at heart * Murderer don't have eternal life within them
Real Love Gives * Jesus gave up his life for us * We should give up our lives for our bro/sisters * If someone lives well and sees a bro/sis in need but shows no compassion how is God’s love in that person
Love in Action * Don’t just say it * Show your truth through your actions * Our actions show we belong to the truth * These actions give us the confidence to stand before God * God is greater than our feelings and our guilt. He knows everything * If we don't feel guilty, we can come to God with bold confidence and we will receive what we ask according to his will * Because of our obedience and doing what pleases him
The Commandment * We must believe in the name of the Son, Jesus Christ * Love one another * Those who obey his commandments remain in fellowship with him and he with them * We know he lives in us bc of his Spirt
Paul teaches us about a Living Hope
Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ.
I am writing to
God the Father knew
As a result:
May God give you more and more grace and peace.
This is the Trinity: * God who chose us * The Spirit who makes us holy * Jesus who cleanses us from our sin
He praises God for the rebirth because of Christ
As a result of the Resurrection
We can't have this inheritance apart from being born again.
Be glad even in trials
How do you measure a faith that has never been tested?
The tests shows if the faith is genuine and if it is strong And sees what needs to be purified and removed
You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you
rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy.
Thomas also known as doubting Thomas wanted to physically stick his hands in the wounds of Jesus or he said that he would not believe but Jesus says that blessed are you who have not seen me and yet believe our faith is a promise that we will see him face to face if we believe in the right now God knows the future and so we hang to the hope that our reward is resting in Trust and our reward is stored for us in heaven
The reward for trusting him will be the salvation of your souls.
We love him by seeking his glory and allow him to get Glory out of all our circumstances we believe in Jesus by obeying him and we rejoice in Jesus by thanking and praising him because we have a future reward that awaits us in eternity
This salvation was something even the prophets wanted to know more about when they prophesied about this gracious salvation prepared for you.
They wondered what time or situation the Spirit of Christ within them was talking about when he told them in advance about Christ’s suffering and his great glory afterward.
No amount of Trials or persecution can take away the eternal life promise to those who believe in him
How are you holding on during trials?
The Chew
We hold on to our faith until Jesus returns
Romans 12:-1-21
Your Body is a Living Sacrifice * Because of God’s mercy. We are urged to present our bodies as a living sacrifice * Holy, pleasing to the Lord (life that is holy according to the Word * This true worship * Do not be conformed to this age * Transformed by renewing our minds * To have discernment of God’s will
Offering your whole self to christ daily
Sacrifice is a choice
We can do a lot of work for God and never give Him our body
They had to bring a living animal sacrifice so for paul to say bring yourself as a living sacrifice
The opposite of transform is to be conformed.
He talking about renewing your mind. Because that where the battle is
We allow the Holy spirit to renew,, reeducate and redirect us daily through the Word
Everyone in the Body has a Gift, Use it Well * Don’t think more highly of yourself than you should * Think Sensibly * Each person has been distributed a measure of faith * Everybody does not have the same function * We are one body in Christ and individual still should be unified on the WORD * Our gifts have been given to us by grace. * The gifts
Prophecy -use it according to the proportion of one’s faith Those with the gift of prophecy should speak only when they are confident that the Holy Spirit is truly revealing something to them.
Service-use it in service
Teaching-teaching
Exhorting-in exhortation
Giving-in generosity
Leading-with diligence
Mercy-showing mercy with cheerfulness
When we submit to God and our lives are living sacrifices we can be used by HIm
Have you presented your body as a living sacrifice?
Where are you using your spiritual gifts?
The Chew
To be renewed in the mind.
Watch what goes into the body and feed the mind with the Word
Because Jesus condemned sin We are Free From Condemned * No condemnation of those in Christ * The law of the Spirit sets us free from the law of death * The flesh weakened the law * Jesus came in the flesh to be a sin offering to fully meet the righteous requirement * For those who do not live according to the flesh but to the Spirit
Are you free?
The Fleshy vs Spiritual Mindset * Those who live according to the flesh have the mindset of what the flesh desires * Those who live according to the Spirit have their mindset on what the Spirit desires * The mind governed by flesh = death * The mind governed by spirit =life and peace * The mind governed by flesh is hostile to God
It does not submit to God’s law nor can it
If your mindset is wrong then your feet are going to go in the wrong direction Which mindset do you have?
Like watching TV or social media you can be on two channels or two apps simultaneously. You have to choose
The Spirit vs Fleshy Realm * Those who are in the realm of the flesh can not please God * If the spirit of god is in you then you are in the realm of the Spirit * If you don’t have the spirit of God then you don't belong to Christ * If Christ is in you, even tho your body is subject to death you will have life and righteousness because of the spirit * If the Spirit who raised Christ lives in you he will give life to your mortal bodies
Which realm are you operating in?
Life According to the Flesh * We have an obligation not to live according to the flesh * If you do, you will de * If by the spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body you will live
The Spirit identifies God’s Children * Those who the Spirit leads are God’s children * The Spirit doesn't make you a slave but makes you a son by adoption * Now you can call God Abba Father he is now your daddy * The Spirit will testify with our spirit if we are God’s children * Children receive an inheritance from their father * We share his suffering and his glory ( we don't just take our inheritance and life the total peaceful we will have trials and how we deal with them represents his glory
Our walk represents our daddy Abba it is the proof. The word Abba has the meaning papa or daddy
The Desires of the Spirit vs the Flesh * Walk by the Spirit to not gratify the desires of the Flesh * The flesh desires what is contrary to the spirit * The spirit desires what is contrary to the flesh * They conflict with each other * You are not to do whatever you want * If you are led by the spirit you are not under the law
You are either pleasing God over self or your self over God
Our walk is the conduct of our lives
To walk you have to be active not passive the spirit leads we follow
Two ways of life, Two outcomes
The Acts of the Flesh vs The Fruit of the Spirt * Acts of the flesh
Sexual immorality
Impurity
Debauchery
Idolatry
Witchcraft
Hatred
Discord
Jealousy
Fits of rage
Self ambition
Dissensions
Factins
Envy
Drunkenness
Orgies
Those who practice these things will not inherit the Kingdom of God
These are obvious and observable
To walk in these is slavery
Believers who live in the flesh will have consequences
Work is something you.. Works of the flesh or works spirit ;
Fruit of the Spirit
Love
Joy
peace
Patience
Kindness
Goodness
Faithful
Gentleness
Self-control
Just as the works of the flesh are evident so is the fruit
Against these, there is no law
Those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh and its passions and desires
We live by the spirit so we keep in step with the spirit march with the commander leading the holy spirit must be included in every move
Let us not become conceited provoking and envying each other you can't take credit for the fruit you bear that’s all on the Spirit and you can't envy another person's fruit
The flesh must be crucified
The actions of one person affect many...
There is a comparison in the Scriptures that shows you what Adam's sin vs Christ's righteousness did for us. Today we will look at Romans 5:12-21
Adam Sin brought Death into the world * When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned. * For the sin of this one man, Adam brought death to many. * Adam’s sin brought condemnation * Cause sin to rule over many
Christ's Death Brought Life into the World * Jesus brought the gift of forgiveness to many * God’s free leads to righteousness even though we are guilty * The sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to be king over all, but all who will take God’s gift of forgiveness and acquittal are kings of life[d] because of this one man, Jesus Christ. V17 TLB * Christ’s righteousness to those who receive it will triumph over sin and death
through Jesus
Adams one sin vs Jesus one act * Yes, Adam’s one sin brings condemnation for everyone, but Christ’s one act of righteousness brings a right relationship with God and new life for everyone. 19
One person disobeyed vs One person Obeyed * Because one person disobeyed God, many became sinners. But because one other person obeyed God, many will be made righteous.
God’s law shows our sin and his grace God’s law was given so that all people could see how sinful they were. But as people sinned more and more, God’s wonderful grace became more abundant.
Sin used to rule but now grace rules * So just as sin ruled over all people and brought them to death, * now God’s wonderful grace rules instead, * giving us the right standing with God * resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
The Digest
Everyone is either in Adam or in Christ. If we do nothing we stay in Adam’s family and die. If we come to God through Jesus we live which family do you belong to?
The Chew
Sin can’t overpower grace.
"We had a need and God had a solution in Christ Jesus"
"We are all under the power of sin"
"We have all turned away"
" Every part of our body is guilty of sin"
"We are freed from the slavery of sin with the redemption price of the blood of Christ"
Refusal to Repent requires Righteous Judgment
God is being patient and kind. His kindness is what means to lead to repentance –to lead you to him. He is not going to force himself on you. His spirit will draw you to him leading you to repentance
They mistook his patience for his absence. If I judged me by not he aint going to judge me
But they were being stubborn (
But because you are stubborn and refuse to turn from your sin,
you are storing up terrible punishment for yourself.
What does it mean to store up something? You stack it up. So those who don't repent and turn are stacking up a storage unit of wrath.
For a day of anger is coming when God’s righteous judgment will be revealed. He will judge everyone according to what they have done.
Eternal Life vs Wrath He will give eternal life
He will pour out his anger and wrath on
Trouble or Glory * There will be trouble and calamity for everyone who keeps on doing what is evil—for the Jew first and also for the Gentile.
It's not works-based salvation but he will reward those who honor him not based on the background but individual specifically
For God does not show favoritism. The Gospel is for everyone. All means All in the Bible. This faith has no race.
You going to get what you have earned
As parents we give our children chance after chance but why take a chance with Jesus? It's too much to gamble your eternity for the sake of thinking you have time.
Remember that Jesus came first to save and next to Judge
The chew
The antidote for wrath is repentance.
God is angry because we are suppressing HIS truth.
God shows his anger at Wicked people who know about God but suppress the truth * Once a man rejects the truth of God in Jesus, he will fall for anything foolish * So basically God is like you want to do what you want to do, so he closes up his Mercy and opens up his Wrath. It is the consequence of living apart from him
God Abandons those who do vile and degrading things, follow heart desires, homosexual
God abandoned to foolish thinking and foolish behaviors * The freedom to continue in the sin is the judgment * A culture without Jesus is death because he is the way the truth and the life. Apart from him, there is no life. * Wrath is righteous and necessary
That's why we needed a savior when God sees Jesus in the US he doesn't see his Wrath Christ took upon the Wrath that we deserved on the cross.
God does not send you to hell. Your rejection of Christ is what sends you to hell.
First people reject God,fall into sin, and then they encourage others to reject God through their lifestyle.
The Chew
Life without God is the worst slavery known to mankind because you are a slave to sin it is your master you are on the plantation of rebellion But the good news is that Christ can redeem you from that Plantation he came to purchase you from the bondage and death sentence of the master named sin.
The Son was Gone..The Death, Burial and Resurrection
“By this time it was about noon, and darkness fell across the whole land until three o’clock. The light from the sun was gone. And suddenly, the curtain in the sanctuary of the Temple was torn down the middle. Then Jesus shouted, “Father, I entrust my spirit into your hands!” And with those words, he breathed his last.
How is this significant to us? Without Jesus, there is a darkness that hovers over our lives. There is not Light. There is no Son. There is no access to the throne room without him. Christ's dead tore the veil to grant us access to God’s presence. His obedience to the point of death is an example of following God and taking up our cross daily
The Sorrow was present
When the Roman officer overseeing the execution saw what had happened, he worshiped God and said, “Surely this man was innocent.” And when all the crowd that came to see the crucifixion saw what had happened, they went home in deep sorrow. But Jesus’ friends, including the women who had followed him from Galilee, stood at a distance watching.
It took the death of Jesus to remove the scales from the Roman officer's eyes. What is it going to take for yours? I wonder if he was saved after this. He gave worship to God but I wonder if he gave his heart to him. We would want to stand around the execution chair of our best friend for a crime they didn’t do. So his friends stood at a distance. This had to be hard to experience and watch.
The Secret Disciple who buried Jesus
Now there was a good and righteous man named Joseph. He was a member of the Jewish high council, but he did not agree with the decisions and actions of the other religious leaders. He was from the town of Arimathea in Judea, and he was waiting for the Kingdom of God to come. He went to Pilate and asked for Jesus’ body. Then he took the body down from the cross wrapped it in a long sheet of linen cloth and laid it in a new tomb that had been carved out of rock. This was done late on Friday afternoon, the day of preparation, as the Sabbath was about to begin. As his body was taken away, the women from Galilee followed and saw the tomb where his body was placed. Then they went home and prepared spices and ointments to anoint his body. But by the time they were finished the Sabbath had begun, so they rested as required by the law.”
Luke 23:44-56 NLT
He had got Jesus a new tomb. So we see there was o fishy stuff. They might have tried to say the stone was a little used and loose. Joseph was waiting on the Kingdom are you waiting on the Kingdom?
The Sunday that changes everything
“But very early on Sunday morning, the women went to the tomb, taking the spices they had prepared. They found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance. So they went in, but they didn’t find the body of the Lord Jesus. As they stood there puzzled, two men suddenly appeared to them, clothed in dazzling robes. The women were terrified and bowed with their faces to the ground. Then the men asked, “Why are you looking among the dead for someone alive? He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead! Remember what he told you back in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be betrayed into the hands of sinful men and be crucified, and that he would rise again on the third day.” Then they remembered that he had said this. So they rushed back from the tomb to tell his eleven disciples—and everyone else—what had happened. It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and several other women who told the apostles what had happened. But the story sounded like nonsense to the men, so they didn’t believe it. However, Peter jumped up and ran to the tomb to look. Stooping, he peered in and saw the empty linen wrappings; then he went home again, wondering what had happened.”
Luke 24:1-12 NLT
Are you looking among the dead for the living? What dead thing, place, or circumstance are you still looking to?
Who are you going to for help? Remember in the Old Testament how the Lord told them in Jeremiah their idols can't help them nor harm them. Why because they are dead!
The fact that Jesus told them and they didn't believe the plan after it was played out right in their face.
When Jesus returns, there will be some people who still don’t believe what is happening even though through his Word He tells us just like he told them
The women have a role and relationship in the resurrection
The man thought it sounded like nonsense and didn't believe. Peter ran to see and still didn’t believe
Will you be like these women?
Without the Resurrection, we have no faith and no hope, no eternal. Jesus had to rise so we can live forever.
Christian faith is the only faith that has a LIVING GOD and LIVING WORD
The Chew
Women have a role and responsibility to prepare our souls for Jesus to follow him, testify about him, and share the gospel.
Jesus demonstrates the power in His Identity... I AM HE Jesus is Betrayed... * Jesus had just finished praying for all believers Pause .. when we are praying and covering trust that the enemy is going to come seeking to kill and destroy that which you just covered. Jesus was praying for us before he was about to die. * He was with his disciples across the Kidron Valley in the garden. The brook would have been reddish from the blood of the Passover lamb right before he would become our lamb of God shedding his blood that still flows today. * Judas the betrayer knew the location because Jesus often met with his disciples there * So Judas brings his mob squad to the garden (around about 200men) * Jesus knew everything that was getting ready to happen Jesus knew everything that was going to go down and he didn’t run and escape he stayed and let the plan unfold. The plan that benefits us right now.
I am the man you are looking for * He stepped to them and asked Who is it that you are looking for? Jesus was not afraid of these weapon-carrying men He approached them first. The whole time he is in control. They fell, and they let his men go. * They replied Jesus of Nazareth * Jesus replied I am he” * Judas was standing with them * Jesus tells them again I am he * The mob stepped back and fell to the ground (they knew who they were dealing with the great I am, their physical weapons had no power. Jesus's words were enough to knock them off their feet. Divine power * Jesus asked them again who are you looking for * Jesus, they replied if you looking for me let these men go * This fulfilled the word he had said I have not lost one of those you have given to me
Simon the Sword Slayer * Simon Peter drew his sword and struck the high Priest servant's right ear off * Jesus said to Peter put the sword away. Am I not to drink the cup the Father has given me? Peter was in the way of the obedience of Jesus to the Father who is in your way to obedience to the Father? * Peter was always trying to be Jesus' bodyguard but Jesus didn't need Peter to protect him. He was El Nekamoth the God who avenges. He can handle his own. And if Peter would have blocked his obedience then you and I would be dead in our trespasses forever. Because Jesus went on to drink the cup of wrath for our sins and sake
YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN --Jesus
Two types of Birth
Physical/Spiritual
One comes from the flesh. Your mother’s body
One comes from the Spirit. From the Holy Spirit
The wind blows and you hear, but you don’t know where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with the Spirit. We don’t know who he will give his spirit to next because the heart work is inside. We only see the evidence of the fruit on the outside
I’m telling you what I know * Jesus said he was telling what he knew, what he has seen, yet you still won't believe and accept my testimony * He had the testimony out of Jesus' mouth. And still wouldn't believe * I have told you about earthly things you don't believe so how can you believe things about heaven? * No one has ascended into heaven except the one who has descended from heaven—the son of man * Just as man lifted up the snake in the wilderness. Jesus tells him I will be lifted up so that everyone who believes in me will have eternal life.
God so loved the world * The most famous verse–for God so loved the world that he sent his one and only son * So that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life * Jesus was not sent to condemn but to save the world
The Trial of this life * Believers are not condemned * Unbelievers are already condemned because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of God * This is the judgment
Light came into the world
People loved the darkness rather than the light they wanted to sin her their darkness
Because their deeds were evil
Those who do evil hate the light and avoid it
Coming into the light would expose the darkness
Those who live in the truth
Come to the light
So that his works may be accomplished by God and everyone see what God has done in their life.
John testifies about Jesus again * Jesus and disciples were baptizing in Judea * John was baptized as well * Dispute broke out because everyone was going to Jesus' baptisms * John responds No one can receive anything unless its from heaven * John reminds him my work was to prepare so that everyone would go to him * He said his joy was complete and that Jesus must become greater and he become less * He said Jesus was from above and is above all and he was from earthly and spoke on earthly terms * He told them just what Jesus told NIcodemus Jesus had testified to what he seen and heard and yet they still didnt accept his testimony * The one who accepts his testimony has affirmed that God is true * The one God sent speaks God’s words
to refuse belief and obedience
not to comply with
So have you trusted in Jesus as your Lord and Surrender your life to Him?
Are you like Nicodemus you know about his teaching and want to know more but afraid to do it in the day? Jesus is available day or night. Run to Him!
The Chew
You must be born again
Jesus came to fulfill not abolish the law...That would be through His perfect obedience
Christ wants us to be obedient to the law for sanctification, not salvation
No condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus
How to walk
Destination: Point your life in the direction of God’s will
Dependence: All your weight walking one foot in front of the other. Dependent on God's power
Dedication-keep stepping, calling on God to help you.
When starting to walk as a baby. You will waddle, fall, pull yourself up on something, and try it again. Until one day you are running.
Your faith walk is the same. You will be tempted to waddle and fall back into your old patterns of life. But you will reach out your hand for the Father and he will pull you up because one day at the end you will be running full speed into the arms of Jesus.
Jesus has the authority to heal physically and spiritually * The faith of your friends matters..Some men brought to him Jesus saw their faith
Who are your faith friends?
There was a physical healing and a spiritual healing “Take heart, son; your sins are forgiven.”
The teachers of the law said to themselves so they didn’t say it out loud. And Jesus who knows our thoughts asked them “Why do you entertain evil thoughts in your hearts?
What does your thought life look like?
Healing fills people with awe and praise * When the crowd saw this, they were filled with awe; and they praised God, who had given such authority to man.
Where do you need to seek healing emotionally, spiritually, and physically?
Jesus has the authority to heal on the Sabbath Jesus Heals a Crippled Woman on the Sabbath * Sabbath Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues, * a woman was there who had been crippled by a spirit for eighteen years. * She was bent over and could not straighten up at all. * When Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said to her, “Woman, you are set free from your infirmity.” * Then he put his hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and praised God. * Jesus saw her and called her. He knows the position we are standing in, bent over in, laid out no matter what. And he spoke healing over her with his word. YOU ARE SET FREE from your infirmity. * You can be free sis. What is it that you need to be FREE from? * After he spoke the healing with His Word he touched. The Word of God is not bound once it was spoken she was healed. * Her response was to praise God * After 18 years of being bent out of shape with her head slumped over to the ground she could look up she could see. Her life was a ground level and now by the grace of the healing Father, she was God level. She could lift her eyes to her helper the maker of heaven and earth. * So the synagogue leaders were big mad because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath * Jesus called them hypocrites! And said your animals can get water. But this woman can't get freedom from what Satan has kept bound in for 18 years
CSB-disabled by a spirit. The Word also said she was bound for 18 years. Satan had placed a demonic attack on her life.
Jesus called this woman, a daughter of Abraham. She was a member of the covenant and its promises
Hebrews 2:16b……Helps Abraham’s offspring.
This was the mic drop moment because after that they were humiliated
I like how the Word uses the opponents. They were against him.
But the people were delighted with all the wonderful things he was doing.
When he said this, all his opponents were humiliated, but the people were delighted with all the wonderful things he was doing.
We see Jesus in both these people's lives…Change their position one was lying on a stretcher and the other one was bent over.
We see both of these people had spiritual aliments -because there was sin that needed to be forgiven in the man first and a spirit to be delivered from in the woman
We we that the scribe and synagogue leaders could not see Jesus for who He really was. The Son of Man. The one with authority.
We see the response of the people. Awestruck and praising God and filled with delight
The Chew
Real friends carry you to Jesus. Whether it's a sin or sickness. A burden or a birth. Grief or great Joy. They are willing to lower you through the roof of your circumstances and into the presence of the true healer. Jehovah Rapha
The Light shines in the Darkness. And Darkness can't overcome it.
John 1:1-18

The Man who testified
The Children of God
The World became flesh
An unseen God became a seen God in Christ. An untouchable God became touchable in Christ.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Martin Luther King
The King was born.
We see the fulfillment of the things we have been reading for the past two weeks. That the Messiah was coming. We have this access to Him that is eternal.
But I want to look at the Shepherds
They were watching. We need to watching the world around us. Being woke.
Keeping our flock covered.
Seeking God’s Word for the good news Daily.
Praise should be our weapon in these times.
The Shepherds heard the word and then they sought out to see truth for themselves.
We may receive the Word from many different sources with today’s access but make sure that go to seek out the Truth for yourself (Acts 17:11)
And then they spread the good news. We need to spread this good news.
The next announcement of the angels will be with the coming of the king
When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. Matthew 25:31-33
The Chew
Christ was born. Christ was crucified. Christ has risen. Christ is coming.
Look and Rejoice the King is Coming....
Jer 23:1-6
Sorrow for the Shepherds
We are accountable to the people, things and resources that the Lord has put in our influence and we are to shepherd them well.
Remembering the Remnant
God had exiled and scattered them because they were disobedient. But he promised to bring them back and he would and they will be blessed and fruitful. They would no longer be under ungodly leadership. God would put them under Godly leaders.
Raising a Righteous King
Giving him a Righteous Name
Because he is our righteousness.
1 Cor 1:20 It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.
2 Corin 5: 21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
Righteousness- living right with God. The only way we live right with God is to first be right with God through our salvation in Christ.
Wrongness is the opposite. So we either see our wrong and seek his righteousness or we stay on the wrong side.
Revealing the King
Isaiah 9:6-7 Then we go to Isaiah’s prophecy of Jesus to see who is this King who will rule with justice and righteousness * A child is born to us He would be born of a mother Mary * A son is given to us. He would be the Son of God He had to be given. For God so loved the world HE GAVE * The government will rest on his shoulders. * He will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. * His government and its peace will never end. * He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David for all eternity. * The passionate commitment of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies will make this happen!
Zechariah Prophecy
He is coming
Tells the people to look and rejoice because the King is coming to you
He is righteous
He is Victorious
He is humble -riding on a donkey (fulfilled when he rode into Jerusalem on a donkey before his crucifixion for our sins. When he returns he will enter Jerusalem again as the King
He would remove the battle chariots from Israel and warhorses from Jerusalem
He would destroy all the weapons used in battle
Your King will bring peace to the nations stretching from sea to sea and the ends of the earth.
Verse 9 was referring to his 1st coming and verse 10 his second coming. Zechariah prophecy was fulfilled. We know he coming soon so we must be prepared
The Digest
Who are you accountable for. Who are you called to shepherd?
Knowing the even though we sin, God comes back to redeem. How does that help heal your past.
What does righteousness look like in your daily life?
What name of God are you meditating on right now?

When the Son of man comes, will he find faith in you, Sis?
God continues to show his mercy and desire for obedience
God showed his mercy
They still disobeyed so he gave his consequence --that would not lead to life. They would pollute themselves and sacrifice their children so that they might be devasted and be reminded that he alone is the Lord.
God desired obedience. He said that obedience would have given them life.
They kept reattaching themselves to idols.
Who or what are you attaching yourself to?
God sent Jeremiah to warn his people to turn back to him. They failed to listen so God in his justice had to act. Because all sin has to be confronted.
There was no digest today.
Just focus on what scriptures stood off the page for you!
" When God gives us a mission. We better take it out completely"
"We must remember that God can use us even when don't feel adequate."
"Saul thought he could half do the mission. And he was suffering from self-deception. But he would later see that half obedience is disobedience to God. And God took his position because his failed mission"
"Saul like some people think if they follow religious traditions and rituals that they have God. Saul did not have God. Saul had Saul."

Where are you half obeying God?
Who is your accountability partner ?
The Chew
Failure to obey will cost you something!
What the king will claim as his rights.. HE WILL TAKE * He will take your sons and make them serve with his chariots and horses, and they will run in front of his chariots. * He will be assigned to be commander of thousands and commanders of fifties * Plow his ground and reap his harvest * Some to make weapons of war and equipment for his chariots. * He will take your daughters to be perfumers and cooks and bakers. * He will take the best of your fields and vineyards and olive groves and give them to his attendants. * He will take a tenth of your grain and of your vintage and give it to his officials and attendants. * Your male and female servants and the best of your cattle and donkeys he will take for his own use. * He will take a tenth of your flocks, and you yourselves will become his slaves. * When that day comes, you will cry out for relief from the king you have chosen, but the Lord will not answer you in that day.”
Refused to listen and get with you want The people refused to listen to Samuel. Nope even after hearing how much they would lose they still wanted to gain a king because they desired to look like the other nations “We want a king over us. Then we will be like all the other nations, with a king to lead us and to go out before us and fight our battles.” So the Lord gave them what the wanted. They went home in anticipation of their new king
What can we learn from this…
Who is the “king” in your life?
Are you desiring lordship of something other than Christ?
Do you think it will gain you something?
Have you considered the cost?
The Chew
Make sure to chose the true king. That is the King of Kings!
Generational faith or Generational death
It seems like in the past couple of readings we have seen a theme of not following idols and teaching your children. Here we see that they failed to teach their children so their faith wasn’t passed on. If we don’t teach our children how will they have an impact on society?
We need to take this very seriously. We can’t wait for the school system the church, sunday school or youth groups to teach our children.
Moses told them they needed to tell the children. They didn't even know the deliverance of Eygpt/slavery
Romans 10:14 How, then, can they call on him they have not believed in? And how can they believe without hearing about him? And how can they hear without a preacher?
How do we expect our children to call on him? If they don’t see us call on him
How do we expect them to hear about Him? If we not talk or expose them to the gospel truth?
One day we will be gone, and our children will be the next generation how will they tell your grandchildren?
Baal idol of the Canaanites-god of fertility. Idol as we learned earlier this week any person place thing or thought that you look to as your source, meaning, provision, deliverance and fulfillment
Forsaking God vs Following God
They let the gods of the people around them affect them instead them affecting the people around with the one true living God. So this shows how easily it is to be influenced by the world around us even when we know God. We must be woke in this sleeping generation who have abandoned God and canceled his Holy word. The Word is rubbing off and influencing our children with a great agenda. But our God says in His Word that he has a future and hope for our children. So we must tell them about God and live it out alongside them so that they will stand in this dark world and be the light
They had forsaken God so he removed his hand and the disaster came to them via the enemy. God was working against them. That might seem harse but God is just and jealous. He desires our whole heart not half. Its like you abandoned me and it hurts. They were stressed out.
God aganist you vs God for you
If God is against you, it doesnt matter what you have going for you. And if God is for you, it doesn’t matter Who is against you. -Tony Evans
Even when we reject and abandon God he can't abandon us, because of his character. He heard when they cried out and sent the judges to defeat the enemy, the judges would die and they would return to idols.
This make me think about when some people get into a dying situation, they call on him for help promising to serve and surrender, and as soon as he delivers them they go right back to the old life.

The Chew
Break the generational faith cycle
Be Careful Obey My Commands * Love the Lord your God * Worship him with all your heart and soul
We must being willing to love and obey God in all areas so that it affects all our other areas of life.
Provision
“Eat and be satisfied”
See there was no rain in the land. The irrigation system was man made. They need a God rain for this level of provision.
Be Careful not to be deceived by turning aside serving and bowing in worship to other gods
Because they could have gotten pride and thought that the gods of the land was providing
Then the Lord’s anger will burn against you
God holds and stores the rain for when he is ready. If he removes the rain. The land will not be plentiful as promised for obedience. It would be dry and dead. He is leaving them to die. The DECEIVER comes to steal, kill, and destroy.
Be Careful to imprint these words * On your hearts (storehouse of the word of God, treasure it to be used in all occasions) * On your minds * Bind them on your hands (so you can see) * Let them be a symbol on your foreheads
The importance of storing up God’s word in your heart so that you won’t sin against him. He wants to be in your mind, heart, in your hands. When you have his word you will be ready so you dont have to get ready. One day you might can’t google verses as needed. To do the next point you must follow this one.
Be Careful to teach your children * Talking about his law * When you sit in your house * When you lie down * When you walk along the road
The topic of conversations should lead to Jesus., not matter where you are, in the house, traveling to and from places in the car. My car is often a car gospel ride. Like a magic school because with Jesus lesson. For some reason, it happens in the car a lot. When you lie down. It could be when lying down or when rising up. You have to talk and teach your children the law of God. Nothing else matter. If your kids miss heaven, but gain all the material possessions it means nothing. Teach them to store up treasures in heaven where moths and rust can't destroy.
Be Careful to cover your home/community * Write them on the doorposts of your house * Write them on your city gate
Pray God’s word over your home, put reminders through the rooms of the home
Pray God’s word over your neighborhood, where you go in your going in and coming out
Be careful to obey to protect your legacy * Obedience …so that as long as heaven is above earth your days and your children's days may be many
God desires Obedience before blessings because he can't bless sin and disobedience.
Your obedience today affects your children tomorrow!
If you don't tell them how will they know and if you don't know what to tell them then get in the word so you know!
The digest?
What does Worship and Obedience look like in your life right now?
How do you guard yourself against the deception of the evil one?
Do you have scripture imprinted on your heart?

PROSTITUTION WITH MOLECH
If you turned to Mediums/Spiriti prosititue himself God would turn against that person and cut off
1 John 4: 1 Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3 but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.
PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP/RESPONSIBITILY
The Lord already sanctified the Isrealites now he is asking them
PUNISHMENT
Then there was the list of sins that would cause Death
Do not curse your parents = death the oppositie of honor
Commit adultery with
Keep all my statues and ordinaces
Do them so that the land I'm giving you will not vomit you out
Must not follow the statutes of the other nations that I am driving out before you. They did all these things —- I abhorred them (Canaanites were deeply involved)
PROMISE
Promised a land of milk and honey
I am the Lord your God who sets you apart from the people
V26 Be holy to me because I, the Lord am holy and I set you apart from the nations to be mine
V27 A man or a woman who is a medium/spirittist must be put to death via stoning. Their death is their fault
Digest
How have you found a new understanding in the practices of infants being sacrificed to Molech? How does it relate to abortion in our generation?
Are you consecrating yourself before the Lord with holiness and obedience?
When God states I set you apart to be Mine? How does that impress you to have deeper relationship with Him?
The Chew
To receive the promises of God we must have a personal relationship with God. One that sets us apart from the rest of the world. One that is filled with obedience and holiness. With obedience we receive blessing and with sin he gives punishments. He is a just God. Forgiveness is available in Jesus
Sin requires sacrifice no matter if it is intentional or unintentional
If someone commits an unintentional sin that defiles the Lord’s scared property or his holy things
This could have been the first fruit, first son, the tithes, or a vowed offering
If they failed then they had to make atonement
The sin offering was not enough
They had to bring a guilt offering Ram no defects or buy one of equal value with silver.
There had to be restitution -paying back what was lost and adding 20% to that
The offering had to cost them something maybe so they could remember to not do it again.
There had to be a priest and a sacrifice They would give the offering to the priest and he would sacrifice the ram and they would be made right and be forgiven.
Blood had to be shed to be forgiven. But the blood of any animal could not satisfy the sin of a human.
Christ the high priest sacrificed and shed his blood for us for our sins both intentional and unintentional so that we could be forgiven because, without the shedding of blood, there could be no forgiven of our sins
Therefore, he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, since he always lives to intercede for them. Heb 7:25
Such a high priest truly meets our need—one who is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens. 27 Unlike the other high priests, he does not need to offer sacrifices day after day, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people. He sacrificed for their sins once for all when he offered himself. Heb 7:26-27
Heb 9:12
Jesus satisfied this law 12 He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but he entered the Most Holy Place once for all by his own blood, thus obtaining[a] eternal redemption.
Even if you don't know you are guilty and shall bear punishment “I don’t know” was not an excuse that sin still had to be atoned for
The sin of ignorance still requires punishment…
Luke 12:48…the one who did not know and did what deserved punishment will receive a light beating
The same law for the one who acts in error Number 15:29
Even if we are not aware we are without excuse, we must repent and all our sins to Jesus. 1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
“Ignorance of the law of God is itself a breach of law, since we are bidden to know and remember it.” (Spurgeon)

A Rock and A Hard Place
Jacob is on the run because he thinks his brother wanted to kill him. He gets tired and stops and lays down on a rock as a pillow.
There he has this dream... a stairway to heaven. Where the angels are going up and down the ladder between heaven and earth.
The Lord is standing at the top and watching.
The Lord is speaking confirmation over Jacob reminding him of the promise he has already made to Jacob's dad and grandad---talking about a God who gives generational promises
That promise includes us and JESUS..Jesus would be born from these promises. ALL people on earth will blessed v 14

Having a Godly Aesthetic
Aesthetic Definition: concerned with beauty or the appreciation of beauty.
There is a lot of focus on having the right aesthetic, the right look, the right style of the Instagram page all for the sake of aesthetics.
What does a holy aesthetic look like to God's scriptures? Lets see what I have to say about aesthetics
“and the king will desire your beauty. Bow down to him, for he is your Lord.”
Psalms 45:11 CSB
“Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord will be praised.”
Proverbs 31:30 CSB
Aesthetics are based on perception
We are concerned with the right outfit and the right feed planner and not of that matters to Jesus.
God looks at the heart. The world only sees what you put on and what you post, Jesus sees what only is available to him: The heart!
We must not be conformed. While I love fashion and wear what I think looks cute on me. I think there is a line that needs to be drawn if you start to look so much like the world that nothing is different, nothing is standing out, nothing is set apart and nobody can see the light of Jesus in you.
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Romans 12:2
What is Holy Aesthetic?
Don’t let your beauty consist of outward things like elaborate hairstyles and wearing gold jewelry or fine clothes, 4 but rather what is inside the heart[a]—the imperishable quality of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight. 1 Peter 3:3-4
But the LORD said to Samuel, “Don’t judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The LORD doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”
1 sam 16:7
For the Scriptures say, “You must be holy because I am holy.” 1 Peter 1:16
Holiness is being set apart
Set apart by (or for) God, holy, sacred

Peter asked Jesus for the ability to step on to the water. Then fear started to drown him.
He saw Jesus walking on water and he wanted to do it but his fear of the strong wind blocked his ability.
We can ask Jesus to be more like Him. Increase our ability to do what He does. But the question is do we have enough faith to step on to the water?

Could this be it? There is a lot talk about the rapture
Rapture
1 Thess 4:17-18
For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, the believers who have died[h] will rise from their graves. 17 Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever. 18 So encourage each other with these words.
This weekend is the Feast of the trumpets in Israel. I don't understand much of what is happening but there was a Abrahams Accord just signed by President Trump
Resurrected Body 1 Corin 14:50-55
50 What I am saying, dear brothers and sisters, is that our physical bodies cannot inherit the Kingdom of God. These dying bodies cannot inherit what will last forever.
51 But let me reveal to you a wonderful secret. We will not all die, but we will all be transformed! 52 It will happen in a moment, in the blink of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For when the trumpet sounds, those who have died will be raised to live forever. And we who are living will also be transformed. 53 For our dying bodies must be transformed into bodies that will never die; our mortal bodies must be transformed into immortal bodies.
54 Then, when our dying bodies have been transformed into bodies that will never die,[j] this Scripture will be fulfilled:
“Death is swallowed up in victory.[k]
55
O death, where is your victory?
O death, where is your sting?[l]”
Matt 24-25 Go Read IT!
Deception will be on the rise
Sin will be rampant
v.31 And he will send out his angels with the mighty blast of a trumpet, and they will gather his chosen ones from all over the world[i]—from the farthest ends of the earth and heaven.
“However, no one knows the day or hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son himself.[k] Only the Father knows.
37 “When the Son of Man returns, it will be like it was in Noah’s day. 38 In those days before the flood, the people were enjoying banquets and parties and weddings right up to the time Noah entered his boat. 39 People didn’t realize what was going to happen until the flood came and swept them all away. That is the way it will be when the Son of Man comes.
40 “Two men will be working together in the field; one will be taken, the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding flour at the mill; one will be taken, the other left.
42 “So you, too, must keep watch! For you don’t know what day your Lord is coming. 43 Understand this: If a homeowner knew exactly when a burglar was coming, he would keep watch and not permit his house to be broken into. 44 You also must be ready all the time, for the Son of Man will come when least expected.
How can you be saved ?
Repent

John 1:12 Accept Jesus in your life Invite him in your life!

Mark 13...
So I was awakened this morning by my bed shaking, tv shaking, and hearing my metal stamping and jewelry rattling.
My first reaction was I must be trippin 😵
I looked out the window didn't see nothing
So I grabbed my bible app and put in earthquakes!
All I am saying y'all we better get our house in order because it seems to be that 2020 is putting us in labor for the return of our Savior.
We are living in a time where nation against nation, a pandemic and now an earthquake that haven't hit North Carolina since the 1900s, the food shortage that we are still seeing..
Just like a woman goes into labor without any warning other than pain. I think we are in active labor in return. No one knows the time of his arrival but the Father.
So according to the Word of God.
v7 When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.
Be on guard..because this is just the beginning?
These pains should give us hope for a new birth!
I must ask because I can't assume that all my followers/listeners know Jesus.. Are you ready if He was to return right now?
If not I invite you..to pray..
Father God.. I'm in need of Savior. I'm a sinner. I realize that my sin separates from you and I need you to come into my life. Thank you for Jesus paying the price to save my life. In Jesus name Amen!
Bite: Isaiah 43:18
Right before God tells his people he was going to do a NEW thing. He instructed them to Forget the former and not to dwell on the past.
God can’t take us to a NEW place, person or thing if we dwell on the past place, person or thing.
What does it mean to dwell? To live!!
Don’t live in the former. Move to the NEW!
When you make a move in life. Somethings have to be boxed up and thrown out. You normally don’t pack something you will no longer use and bring to the new home.
So purge the OLD things in your life. Make room because God is going to do a NEW thing.

Luke 12:1-3 MSG
By this time the crowd, unwieldy and stepping on each other’s toes, numbered into the thousands. But Jesus’ primary concern was his disciples. He said to them, “Watch yourselves carefully so you don’t get contaminated with Pharisee yeast, Pharisee phoniness. You can’t keep your true self hidden forever; before long you’ll be exposed. You can’t hide behind a religious mask forever; sooner or later the mask will slip and your true face will be known. You can’t whisper one thing in private and preach the opposite in public; the day’s coming when those whispers will be repeated all over town.
Jesus warned his disciples ….the followers of Christ...this bite is a reminder to us followers of Christ to watch yourself (thoughts, conversations, what's going in your ear) on this evil day. Stay guarded..those with large influence..search the Scripture for yourself!!

If you are married, you can not be entangled with someone who is not your spouse
You don't get seperated to help or heal someone who is not your spouse. You're no man's savior.
Then Sin Entangles
You get so wrapped up and cant get untangled until your mess gets out.
Let's talk Holy Scriptures
This is why a man leaves his father and mother and bonds with his wife, and they become one flesh. Both the man and his wife were naked, yet felt no shame.
Genesis 2:24-25
5 But Jesus told them, “He wrote this command for you because of the hardness of your hearts. 6 But from the beginning of creation God made them male and female. 7 For this reason a man will leave his father and mother 8 and the two will become one flesh. So they are no longer two, but one flesh. 9 Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”
Mark 10:5-8
To those who are already married my command, or rather, the Lord’s command, is that the wife should not leave her husband. But if she is separated from him she should either remain unattached or else be reconciled to her husband. A husband is not, in similar circumstances, to divorce his wife.
1 Corinthians 7:10-11phillips
If anyone is ill he should send for the Church elders. They should pray over him, anointing him with oil in the Lord’s name. Believing prayer will save the sick man; the Lord will restore him and any sins that he has committed will be forgiven. You should get into the habit of admitting your sins to each other, and praying for each other, so that if sickness comes to you, you may be healed

16 When Joab was besieging the city, he put Uriah in the place where he knew the best enemy soldiers were. 17 Then the men of the city came out and attacked Joab, and some of the men from David’s soldiers fell in battle; Uriah the Hethite also died.
We get over quickly
26 When Uriah’s wife heard that her husband, Uriah, had died, she mourned for him.[e] 27 When the time of mourning ended, David had her brought to his house. She became his wife and bore him a son. However, the Lord considered what David had done to be evil.
Don't Judge Jada
Cast the first stone
The religion scholars and Pharisees led in a woman who had been caught in an act of adultery. They stood her in plain sight of everyone and said, “Teacher, this woman was caught red-handed in the act of adultery. Moses, in the Law, gives orders to stone such persons. What do you say?” They were trying to trap him into saying something incriminating so they could bring charges against him.
6-8 Jesus bent down and wrote with his finger in the dirt. They kept at him, badgering him. He straightened up and said, “The sinless one among you, go first: Throw the stone.” Bending down again, he wrote some more in the dirt.
9-10 Hearing that, they walked away, one after another, beginning with the oldest. The woman was left alone. Jesus stood up and spoke to her. “Woman, where are they? Does no one condemn you?”
11 “No one, Master.”
“Neither do I,” said Jesus. “Go on your way. From now on, don’t sin.”

Jesus stated that they were foolish and slow to believe. He explained that the crucifixion was necessary.
They invited Jesus to stay with them. When Jesus became their host, and broke the bread. It was then they recognized Him. But Jesus was gone.
Their hearts were burning within them while He was talking and explaining the Scriptures to them.
On this walk, Jesus
Allowed them to question the resurrection
He let them chatter about the events.
He checked them on the belief. V26
He explained the things concerning himself in all the Scriptures
He was invited but became the host
The breaking of bread was the eye opener
By the time they recognized Him. He was gone
They realized the road was different when walking with Jesus.

“After this, when Jesus knew that everything was now finished that the Scripture might be fulfilled, he said, “I’m thirsty.” A jar full of sour wine was sitting there; so they fixed a sponge full of sour wine on a hyssop branch and held it up to his mouth. When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, “It is finished.” Then bowing his head, he gave up his spirit.”
John 19:28-30 CSB
.
The sour wine was what the soldiers drank while they were waiting for the person to die.
.
Jesus receiving the sour wine fulfilled scripture.
.
“My strength is dried up like baked clay; my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth. You put me into the dust of death.”
Psalms 22:15 CSB
.
Finished -Before Jesus there had to be a priest to atone for the sin. Jesus was the final atonement for all of our sins.
The system ended with Jesus. He paid in FULL. The full penalty for our sins which was death. The veil was torn giving us access to him both now and forever.
.
He bowed- He humbled himself to the point of death. Laid down his life on His own.
.
“No one takes it from me, but I lay it down on my own. I have the right to lay it down, and I have the right to take it up again. I have received this command from my Father.””
John 10:18 CSB
.
Laid it down for His friends-
“No one has greater love than this: to lay down his life for his friends.”
John 15:13 CSB
.
He gave up His spirit- submitted himself to death willingly?.
.
“Therefore I will give him the many as a portion, and he will receive the mighty as spoil, because he willingly submitted to death, and was counted among the rebels; yet he bore the sin of many and interceded for the rebels.”
Isaiah 53:12 CSB

He entrusted Himself to the father.

“And he said to him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.””
Luke 23:43 CSB
.
Truly-firm,faithful,surely, absolute trust,confidence
.
Jesus said “Truly, I tell you” many times in the gospels.
.
Paul in 2 Corinthians spoke about being caught up to the third heaven-which is the dwelling place of God. He called it paradise
.
“was caught up into paradise and heard inexpressible words, which a human being is not allowed to speak.”
2 Corinthians 12:4 CSB
.
“Then we who are still alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.”
1 Thessalonians 4:17 CSB
.
What is paradise? The king’s garden. A place of happiness and rest. The place of the glorified spirits. The place where God lives.
.
How do we get to Paradise?
.
Be like the criminal. Respect God. Know Jesus. Confess your sin. Call upon the name of the Lord. Believe and Ask Jesus into your life.
.
There was a deathbed conversion. It’s never too late until it’s too late.
.
The reward for him was heaven and it was immediate. Jesus said “Today”
.
The criminal said “Remember me”...Jesus said “You will be with me”
The criminal knew the awaited kingdom..Jesus promised him paradise.
.
Jesus gives paradise. Jesus is the only way to get to paradise.
““Let anyone who has ears to hear listen to what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who conquers, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.”
Revelation 2:7 CSB
.
If you haven’t confessed and gave your life to Jesus..be like the criminal ask Him!
The Prayer Request
“Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, because they do not know what they are doing.” And they divided his clothes and cast lots.”
Luke 23:34 CSB
.
Jesus is already on the cross with the 2 criminals beside him. He asks the Father to forgive his murderers. They were busy dividing his clothes and casting lots. He was interceding for them that they might be saved.
.
Forgive-to send away, to let go, depart
Jesus prayed out loud- Do you struggle with praying out loud?
There was no quiet place, no away spot
.
His intercession was a fulfillment of scripture
“Therefore I will give him the many as a portion, and he will receive the mighty as spoil, because he willingly submitted to death, and was counted among the rebels; yet he bore the sin of many and interceded for the rebels.”
Isaiah 53:12 CSB
.
He knew that His enemies were blind. He prayed for their twisted ignorant minds.
.
“A man is praised for his insight, but a twisted mind is despised.”
Proverbs 12:8 CSB
“Come to your senses and stop sinning; for some people are ignorant about God. I say this to your shame.”
1 Corinthians 15:34 CSB
.
Forgiveness is the beginning of the life of the soul with God.
.
The Answered Prayer
.
God answered the prayer because through the death of Jesus was the wash of forgiveness of sin and salvation to His murders and the whole world.
.
The centurion eyes and mind was open.
.
“So those who accepted his message were baptized, and that day about three thousand people were added to them.”
Acts 2:41 CSB
.
“But many of those who heard the message believed, and the number of the men came to about five thousand.”
Acts 4:4 CSB
.
Rescued from Wrath
“and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead — Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath.”
1 Thessalonians 1:10 CSB
.
Hope for Eternal life
“so that, having been justified by his grace, we may become heirs with the hope of eternal life.”
Titus 3:7 CSB
The Example
He interceded while dying, in suffering, in pain. Nothing should keep us from praying not even impending death
.
The Command
Forgive and Pray
.
“But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,”
Matthew 5:44 CSB
.
“bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.
But love your enemies, do what is good, and lend, expecting nothing in return. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High. For he is gracious to the ungrateful and evil.”
Luke 6:28, 35 CSB
.
“Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Give careful thought to do what is honorable in everyone’s eyes.”
Romans 12:17 CSB
.
Digest questions ?
.
Who is it that I see as the murders in my life?
The people that I feel don’t deserve my prayer time/
How is my prayer life? How often am I interceding selfless prayer?
What has today’s message taught me about my response to pain, agony and trials?
Where do I need to seek forgiveness from the Father for my ignorance?
“So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world. Let there be tears for what you have done. Let there be sorrow and deep grief. Let there be sadness instead of laughter, and gloom instead of joy. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in honor.”
James 4:7-10 NLT
“So let God work his will in you. Yell a loud no to the Devil and watch him scamper. Say a quiet yes to God and he’ll be there in no time. Quit dabbling in sin. Purify your inner life. Quit playing the field. Hit bottom, and cry your eyes out. The fun and games are over. Get serious, really serious. Get down on your knees before the Master; it’s the only way you’ll get on your feet.”
James 4:7-10 MSG
Before your worship, your must wash.
“Who may climb the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place?”
Psalms 24:3 NLT
“Only those whose hands and hearts are pure, who do not worship idols and never tell lies.”
Psalms 24:4 NLT
It’s my hands... what have I done ?
The sin on our hands keeps us a distance from a God.
Are you and God social distancing?
Drawing near brings conviction
Washing your hands reminds you to remove evil from your heart.
You wash by repentance
“When you lift up your hands in prayer, I will not look. Though you offer many prayers, I will not listen, for your hands are covered with the blood of innocent victims. Wash yourselves and be clean! Get your sins out of my sight. Give up your evil ways. Learn to do good. Seek justice. Help the oppressed. Defend the cause of orphans. Fight for the rights of widows.”
Isaiah 1:15-17 NLT
“Because we have these promises, dear friends, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that can defile our body or spirit. And let us work toward complete holiness because we fear God.”

We like the son in this parable are wasteful. We are in a time of famine and chaos in our land and it's time to stop starving for attention, money and power, success relationships etc
.
He got so hungry that pig food looked good.
We can't keep looking at what is pleasing to the eyes and the stomach.
Even when it's something we know we shouldn’t have.
What sin is looking good to you right now? and you know its pig food?
We must come to our senses v17 He remembers that there was an abundance back at the house.

A peacemaker is a son of God because He is the Peacemaker, who sent His son to identify the truth, address our sin and construct a bridge for us to God to make peace with Him.

Peacemakers must have peace with God
No one can make peace until he has found peace ..Peace with God.

First you must have a pure heart in order to promote peace.
How can you not be right with God and promote peace?
Peacemakers are led by God’s Spirit

“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.”
Matthew 5:8 CSB

Purity starts in the heart. Your mind and heart must be right to be in the right relationship with God.

Hunger-to be hungry, to be needy, crave, seek with eager desire
Thirst -suffer, thirst for a long time, wanting a soul refresh
Filled-but longing for more.
.
You have to have the right spiritual appetite.
As we sit in our homes, not able to go to fine dining or local restaurants, it's causing us to make meals at home that suit our appetite.
But do you have an appetite for the Lord? Are you craving the things of Christ?
While we are near our snacks during this time, we should feast on the Word of God. Jesus and chips!
““You’re blessed when you’ve worked up a good appetite for God. He’s food and drink in the best meal you’ll ever eat.”
Matthew 5:6 MSG
.
You have to know the food source.
““Come, everyone who is thirsty, come to the water; and you without silver, come, buy, and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without silver and without cost! Why do you spend silver on what is not food, and your wages on what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to me, and eat what is good, and you will enjoy the choicest of foods.”
Isaiah 55:1-2 CSB
Come everyone -it's free food
You can’t purchase it because it's free. Something your money can't buy
Jesus offers free salvation as a gift to anyone and everyone who is thirsty and wants to come.
Eat what is good. He is good. Taste and see

Power, success, relationships, comfort, happiness
What is my source when I am hungry ?
Am I spiritually malnourished? What nutrients do I need to add to my diet? More Word, more prayer, more worship?

Matthew 5:4 CSB

Do you have personal grief over the sins you have committed?

Are you sad over the things that sadden God?
.
If it grieves God, should we be grieved?
.
It’s about having an attitude of repentance.
.
We should be giving our nation right now. We need to be in repentance.
.
The blessing of repentance is the comfort received from God. It’s freeing to repent.
.
Those who mourn are comforted and provided something different.
.
“to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor, and the day of our God’s vengeance; to comfort all who mourn, to provide for those who mourn in Zion; to give them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, festive oil instead of mourning, and splendid clothes instead of despair. And they will be called righteous trees, planted by the Lord to glorify him.”
Isaiah 61:2-3 CSB
““God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for him, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.”

What do we know about Esther
.
There was a search for a new queen after the old queen was revoked
.
Esther was fit and fine.
“Mordecai was the legal guardian of his cousin Hadassah (that is, Esther), because she had no father or mother. The young woman had a beautiful figure and was extremely good-looking. When her father and mother died, Mordecai had adopted her as his own daughter.”
Esther 2:7 CSB
.
Esther found favor with the king.
“The king loved Esther more than all the other women. She won more favor and approval from him than did any of the other virgins. He placed the royal crown on her head and made her queen in place of Vashti.”
Esther 2:17 CSB
.
Esther was faithful to her people.
She made sure Mordecai was out there looking crazy.
Although her Jewish background had not been revealed she repped her people
.
Mordecai reminded her that just because you are in that palace, don't forget where you came from. .
“Mordecai told the messenger to reply to Esther, “Don’t think that you will escape the fate of all the Jews because you are in the king’s palace.”
Esther 4:13 CSB
If you don’t, someone else will.
“If you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will come to the Jewish people from another place, but you and your father’s family will be destroyed. Esther 4:14 CSB
.
God’s plan doesn't stop because you don’t want to get in position.
.
God is looking for those who are willing to work for His Kingdom
.
Although God’s name is not mentioned, Mordecai says who know, maybe this is the reason you are in this position in the first place.
.
Who knows, perhaps you have come to your royal position for such a time as this.””
Sis, Maybe God has you in your position for a reason for such a time as this ? Are you being faithful to the role He has placed you in?
She was willing to risk her own life for her people. Where do you need to take some risk for others? Where do you need to die to self ?
Mary was a witness to the birth and death of her Son, our Savior

Mary was favored, the Lord is with her.

Imagine being a young finance’ planning your wedding and boom this happens. This does not make you feel favored with the type of message. You are receiving. You have to tell your fiancée that how I’m pregnant by the Holy Spirit. Then only to have your son be murdered for all of humanity
.
What kind of message is this?
“But she was deeply troubled by this statement, wondering what kind of greeting this could be.”
Luke 1:29 CSB

ITS A KING

Mother of the King
“Now listen: You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give him the throne of his father David. He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and his kingdom will have no end.””
Luke 1:31-33 CSB
.
““I am the Lord’s servant,” said Mary. “May it be done to me according to your word.” Then the angel left her.”
Luke 1:38 CSB
.
Lessons from Mary
Trust the plans of GOD over your life. Mary was planning to get married and live her new life with her husband. And there was a miraculous change of plans.
Gods’ favor doesn’t mean fame and riches. He could give your humble favor.
Don’t doubt the sovereignty of God. If God can put a baby into a young woman by His Holy Spirit Power, HE CAN DO ANYTHING!
Be ready to serve the Lord wherever He is calling you.

Let’s talk about the Adulterous Woman
The religious teachers and the Pharisees bring out the woman who had been caught in adultery.
They put her in the center.
They requested to know what should be done from Jesus. They were trying to set him up because the law was meant to bring both parties and stone them. If Jesus would have agreed he would have been violating the law.
Jesus answers:
“They kept demanding an answer, so he stood up again and said, “All right, but let the one who has never sinned throw the first stone!””
John 8:7 NLT
They left the scene.
THen Jesus and this woman have an encounter.
“Then Jesus stood up again and said to the woman, “Where are your accusers? Didn’t even one of them condemn you?” “No, Lord,” she said. And Jesus said, “Neither do I. Go and sin no more.” ----------”
John 8:10-11 NLT

Who can stand up and stay that they have no sin? If so you are a liar.
.
Jesus lets her know you are not condemned but don’t do it no more.
.
Digest ?
⭐️How many times have you judged someone for their sins? How many times have you put someone in the center instead of focusing on your own sin?
.
⭐️How many times have you prayed in a justified spirit that somehow your sin was less than the other person?
.
⭐️Where do you need to forgive and have compassion on someone ?
.
⭐️Are you like this woman? If there something that you need to let go and sin no more?
.
Jesus is ready to forgive but confession and repentance is necessary turning away and sin no more.
What do we know about Mary Magdalene:
“and also some women who had been healed of evil spirits and sicknesses: Mary, called Magdalene (seven demons had come out of her);”Luke 8:2 CSB
“Afterward he was traveling from one town and village to another, preaching and telling the good news of the kingdom of God. The Twelve were with him,”
Luke 8:1 CSB
“Many women who had followed Jesus from Galilee and looked after him were there, watching from a distance. Among them were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James and Joseph, and the mother of Zebedee’s sons.”
Matthew 27:55-56 CSB
“Mary Magdalene and the other Mary were seated there, facing the tomb.”
Matthew 27:61 CSB
“Early on the first day of the week, after he had risen, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had driven seven demons.”
Mark 16:9 CSB
.
“Just then Jesus met them and said, “Greetings!” They came up, took hold of his feet, and worshiped him. Then Jesus told them, “Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to leave for Galilee, and they will see me there.””
Matthew 28:9-10
.
So her faith had to be on fire. She witnessed both the death and resurrection of Christ.
.
What we learn from Mary Magdalene:
We are to support the work of Christ. Women should have a role in ministry and sharing the gospel.
We can witness the gospel by spending time with Jesus.
We can watch from the distance of our laps as we read His Word.
We can see that evidence of His resurrection in the Holy Spirit that he has left for us.
We can wait patiently at the foot and worship as we wait to see Him on that glorious day.
Tamar Genesis 38
Two husbands died...took matter in her own hands by sleeping with her father in law to preserve family.
.
Two looks: outfit of the day
She took of her widow clothes for a moment to become like a prostitute
And then she put the back on went back to the widow look
.
“So she took off her widow’s clothes, veiled her face, covered herself, and sat at the entrance to Enaim, which is on the way to Timnah. For she saw that, though Shelah had grown up, she had not been given to him as a wife.”
Genesis 38:14 CSB
.
Two babies: Prez & Zerah
.
“Judah fathered Perez and Zerah by Tamar, Perez fathered Hezron, Hezron fathered Aram,”
Matthew 1:3 CSB
Two Truths from the story of Tamar:
God will turn things around from His good. Because of Tamar she had a son named Perez and Perez in the genealogy of Jesus Christ.
When Tamar was plotting, she probably didn’t realize she was doing kingdom work.
God doesn’t accept sin or condone sinful situations but He uses them.
Tamar should not have took matter into her own hands, but she did, and God used her to be part of the covenant.
.
No matter what you have done, God will use you for his Kingdom.
Digest ?
Where have you felt like God was taking too long to deliver and you took matter in to your own hands? How did it turn out? How Did He use the situation to grow you? Is there a situation that you need to repent and release ?

“While they were traveling, he entered a village, and a woman named Martha welcomed him into her home. She had a sister named Mary, who also sat at the Lord’s feet and was listening to what he said. But Martha was distracted by her many tasks, and she came up and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to serve alone? So tell her to give me a hand.” The Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and upset about many things, but one thing is necessary. Mary has made the right choice, and it will not be taken away from her.””
Luke 10:38-42 CSB
.
If Jesus was on the way to your house what would you be doing?
Mary was in position. She was ready to hear from Jesus. She was focused on Him. She was listening.
.
Martha was serving but distracted. She was multitasking. As women, we are the queens of multitasking
.
Martha was actually doing a good thing by preparing for Jesus. We can be actually doing great things for Jesus and still be distracted from Jesus.
.
He wants to serve, but he also wants you to sit.
Your serving shouldn’t take away from the personal time alone with Him.
.
So Martha complains to Jesus about what she felt like was lack on her sister’s behalf.
.
Jesus responds: You're worried and upset about many things.
To be anxious, troubled with cares. Upset-disturb (bothered)
.
He tells her there is one thing to be concerned about and Mary chose that.
.
He was that one thing.
.
“My choice is you, GOD, first and only. And now I find I’m your choice!
Psalm 16:5-6 MSG
“I have asked one thing from the Lord; it is what I desire: to dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, gazing on the beauty of the Lord and seeking him in his temple.”
Psalms 27:4 CSB
“When Jesus heard this, he told him, “You still lack one thing: Sell all you have and distribute it to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.””
Luke 18:22 CSB
What can we learn from these two women :
Digest?
Who do you identify most with Mary or Martha?
If you are in the Martha spirit of doing , how can you release that spirit and become more like Mary?
Are you bothered? Maybe because you are doing too much?
What need to let go to put Jesus in the position of 1?

Genesis 2:23 NLT

Eve (1st women in the world, the mother of us all)
.
We are like her in so many ways. We cheat on God’s blessings for Satan’s messes.
We focus on what we don’t have instead of what we do have. She was only missing fruit from one tree.
She blamed others for her sin.
.
She was created by God to be Adam’s helper. She was taken from his rib.God took his time with the woman. Adam was dirt with breath. We were taken out of flesh and bone. She was different. She was a part of him(Adam).
.
Adam gave life to Eve. But Eve gave life to the world. She is at the top of the world’s family tree.
.
God knew that Adam couldn’t be alone.
The first Christian mingle. God brings her to Adam. (Verse 22)
.
Just because she was called the helper doesn’t mean she was the “help”.Not a slave mentality or personal assistant.
.
A partner at the side. Ribs come from the side. She was not taken from the head or the foot. Not for her to control him or under his feet.

We learn from Eve:

Acts 17:11 (CSB) The people here were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, since they received the word with eagerness and examined the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so.
To see if Paul and Silas were teaching the truth . NLT
V12 As a result, many believed.
They were ready to hear the Word. There minds were opened
They searched it daily for themselves to seek out the truth.
They didn’t just accept the man (Paul) word. They looked for themselves.
They wanted to see if he was delivering the message of facts and not fluff .
They did it DAILY! To find out! To see if these things were so
And they found the truth and that Paul was legit and many people believed.

“Therefore, since Christ suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same understanding — because the one who suffers in the flesh is finished with sin — in order to live the remaining time in the flesh no longer for human desires, but for God’s will. For there has already been enough time spent in doing what the Gentiles choose to do: carrying on in unrestrained behavior, evil desires, drunkenness, orgies, carousing, and lawless idolatry. They are surprised that you don’t join them in the same flood of wild living — and they slander you. They will give an account to the one who stands ready to judge the living and the dead. For this reason the gospel was also preached to those who are now dead, so that, although they might be judged in the flesh according to human standards, they might live in the spirit according to God’s standards.”

Leaving everything that doesn’t create spiritual growth
and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. Ephesians 3:17a

Jesus want an Permanent home. Jesus don’t want be a visitor.

Your heart is not an airBNB just letting anybody or anything take space.

There is a thief that want to bust up in that dwelling place. You have to kick him out. Resist the devil and he will flee.

It’s take spiritual strength to kick someone out your heart. That affects the amount dwelling space in your heart. This is not a duplex. The is not two dwelling houses. You only can have one master!

Leaving the thoughts that don’t line up with God's purpose.
If we are thinking negative thoughts, defeating thoughts,
We are thinking like the natural man the only way to change the thought is thru the spirit. The Holy Spirit is given as a helper after you are in Christ.
“For WHO HAS KNOWN THE MIND and PURPOSES OF THE LORD, SO AS TO INSTRUCT H IM? But we have the mind of Christ [to be guided by His thoughts and purposes].”
1 Corinthians 2:16 AMP

Remember the WWJD bracelets? We should be thinking WWJT? What would Jesus think?

Wisdom Wednesday
Let’s look at Leaping away from being wise in our strength and plans
“Many plans are in a man’s mind, But it is the LORD ’ S purpose for him that will stand (be carried out).”
Proverbs 19:21 AMP
We make a lot of plans for our day, our menu, our budget, our 5 year plan, 10 year plan, we plan our wedding plan when we are going to have kids. We plan future
We purchase planner and write it all out.
But we must hold to the plan lightly because it is the Lord plan that will ultimately work out for our good.
How have you seen your plans fail only to see that the Lord had something better or bigger in the first place ?
Go ahead and make all the plans you want, but it’s the Lord who will ultimately direct your steps.
Within your heart you can make plans for your future, but the Lord chooses the steps you take to get there.”
Proverbs 16:1, 9 TPT
“The Lord has prepared everything for his purpose — even the wicked for the day of disaster.”
Proverbs 16:4 CSB
Knowing that He has planned everything for you and for His purposes, How might this change the way you “plan” your life?
All of your plans have to go through the sovereign God.
Does your plan line up with the will of God?
The Chew:
Plan lightly, He will accomplish rightly!
How do I leave everything that’s apart from my purpose in Christ ?
leave things the doesn’t
“Finally, believers, we ask and admonish you in the Lord Jesus, that you follow the instruction that you received from us about how you ought to walk and please God (just as you are actually doing) and that you excel even more and more [pursuing a life of purpose and living in a way that expresses gratitude to God for your salvation].”
1 Thessalonians 4:1 AMP
.
Our purpose is to walk and please God slave of Christ bought with a price
“Therefore, with your minds ready for action, be sober-minded and set your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.”
1 Peter 1:13 CSB
Spiritually alert self disciplined until Jesus returns
Prepare for understanding
To be calm and collected in the spirit
Control how you think
“I will run the way of Your commandments [with purpose], For You will give me a heart that is willing.”
Psalms 119:32 AMP
.
The Old Testament often tells us to be careful to obey; if you obey.
.
Obedience brings blessings
.
Lord make my heart willing to obey

“Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and make me willing to obey you.”
Psalms 51:12 NLT
“Don’t be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and turn away from evil.”

Am I walking in obedience to Christ

Leap with Jesus
Leaving Everything Apart from Purpose
With Jesus
The purpose Jesus came was to do the will of the God
“For I have come down from heaven to do the will of God who sent me, not to do my own will.”
John 6:38 NLT
Jesus chose us over him. It wasn’t about him.
.
How often do we make our life plans for our purposes?
.
He wanted to bless us.
.
The purpose of God to bless mankind through Christ
.
He gives eternal life
.
“For it is my Father’s will that all who see his Son and believe in him should have eternal life. I will raise them up at the last day.””
John 6:40 NLT
.
He give us life right now
.
“The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.”
John 10:10 NLT
.
Each one has a purpose the enemy has one and Jesus has as one. Which one are you allowing to take over your life?
.
Has the enemy tried to steal, kill or destroy you?
Or Are you enjoying the abundance of the life JEsus has purposed for you?
.
His purpose is a content life, not a comfortable life.
.
To possess this purpose filled life, you must lean into the right pasture and the right shepherd.
.
Knowing the voice of the shepherd and where he is leading you.
.
Honor the shepherd to find your true purpose doing His will on that not of our own.
.
If you are living outside of God’s purpose, you are living outside God’s power.-Dr. Tony Evans
Culture offers us many opinions but we must choose not to imitate.
If we agree with the things that are against the word and the will of God. How can we be of Christ?
It’s obvious that we conform to something
Conform.. to conform one's self (i.e. one's mind and character) to another's pattern, (fashion one's self according to)
We copy the pattern of either the Word of the World
Conforming to culture requires imitation
Conforming to Christ offers transformation
Conforming to culture leaves us empty
Conforming to a Christ leaves you empowered
“Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes.”
Romans 12:2 TPT
.
Conforming to Culture spiritually deforms you. Stunts your growth.
Conforming to Christ spiritually transformed you. Matures your growth.
“Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.”
Romans 12:1-2 MSG
.
When we began to fit in we no longer stand out. People should see you as different.
.
Conforming to culture chokes the Word leaving you unfruitful
Conforming to Christ you understand the Word leaving you fruitful
“Now the one sown among the thorns — this is one who hears the word, but the worries of this age and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.”
Matthew 13:22 CSB
“But the one sown on the good ground — this is one who hears and understands the word, who does produce fruit and yields: some a hundred, some sixty, some thirty times what was sown.””
Matthew 13:23 CSB
Conforming to culture means you don’t love the Father and you crave the thing of the world.
Conforming to Christ you do what pleases the Father.
“Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.”
1 John 2:15-17 NLT
Conforming to Christ offers eternal rescue and a renewed spirit.
“Jesus gave his life for our sins, just as God our Father planned, in order to rescue us from this evil world in which we live.”
Galatians 1:4 NLT
“Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes.”
Ephesians 4:23 NLT
Who is in your faith lineage ?
Who is that person that led you into the faith or a closer walk ?
.
Honoring our faith forefather: Abraham
The covenant for us as well.
.
“I will make you into a great nation. I will bless you and make you famous, and you will be a blessing to others. I will bless those who bless you and curse those who treat you with contempt. All the families on earth will be blessed through you.””
Genesis 12:2-3 NLT
.
From the beginning all families were to be blessed.
This promise filled by the coming of Jesus and the new covenant. With his blood being shed on the cross. We are set free from the slavery of sin.
“After supper he took another cup of wine and said, “This cup is the new covenant between God and his people—an agreement confirmed with my blood, which is poured out as a sacrifice for you.”
Luke 22:20 NLT
.
✝️Our faith should be generational.
Passed on like all the other traditional things holidays recipes
✝️If we don’t they wont.
“After that generation died, another generation grew up who did not acknowledge the Lord or remember the mighty things he had done for Israel.”
Judges 2:10 NLT
Another Joshua death the next generation that rose up didn’t even know the Lord or his works.
They had failed to tell of the work of the Lord and pass it down to the next
✝️On the other hand if we do we leaving a legacy for the kingdom
“I remember your genuine faith, for you share the faith that first filled your grandmother Lois and your mother, Eunice. And I know that same faith continues strong in you.”
2 Timothy 1:5 NLT
✝️A spiritual legacy has to start somewhere but it doesn’t have to end someone. It can move thru generations
“Tell your children about it in the years to come, and let your children tell their children. Pass the story down from generation to generation.”
Joel 1:3 NLT
“Let each generation tell its children of your mighty acts; let them proclaim your power.”
Psalms 145:4 NLT
“Our children will also serve him. Future generations will hear about the wonders of the Lord.”
Psalms 22:30 NLT
✝️ These applies to your spiritual children or disciples that are no yours by blood

Why are some black millennials not going to church ? Why is black church full of rules and stigmas?
Why do we cause division over domination and the race and style of your pastor?
We focus on the following of man vs the following of the Word.
I can wear whatever I want to church and still praise Him.
I don’t need on a suit, pantyhose, and hat to qualify to be in the house of the Lord
That’s why young people don’t want to come to church because some of them are wounded by man-made traditions passed down.
“Don’t let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers of this world, rather than from Christ.”
Colossians 2:8 NLT
Let’s pass the true gospel down.
“You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins. He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross.”
Colossians 2:13-14 NLT
Going to church is somehow your good deed for you to have a better week.
Checkbox I’m done. Just took a word to the car that ain’t gonna make it to the stoplight or pass lunch.
Keep it in the four walls. I’m serving on the usher board, flower committee, all these committees but in the workplace or school not telling no one about Jesus.
Choir robes ✅
A lot screaming and not a lot of Scripture. ✅
A lot of praising no changed hearts. 🤦🏽♀️
I never heard missions or missionaries until I got to a multi cultural church.
Jesus said ...Go into all nations
Quiet time what’s that? Jesus did it. “Before daybreak the next morning, Jesus got up and went out to an isolated place to pray.”
Mark 1:35 NLT
Confront a sister on her sin ? Never. Let’s throw condemnation on her. Let’s just talk about her.
No one told me there was no condemnation Romans 8:1
I lived with feeling condemnation for my sexual sins and wedlock pregnancy for years. Because I broke the rules.
I’m not saying black is worse or white is better. I’m saying the difference being at a multicultural church was profound and it changed my life 10 years ago.
But what I noticed is people getting saved. Giving their life to Christ. What I saw was baptism. I learned about true community and I was shown how to study the word of God on my own.
It’s time for this stuck in our ways days to be done. So we can truly grow the next generations. Because when sister Williams and Brother Johnson die will they little grands be the church.
Joshua had seen the Lord do what He promised

But you have a choice, what will you choose?
It’s not other nations little gods that we chose, it power, love, success, money, people, that become our idols or little gods.
Joshua made a commitment.
How will your decision affect your circle of influence ?
“But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” Romans 5:8 NLT God didn’t wait for me and you to get it together sis. He sent Jesus while we were still sinners. God showed up sis. The word demonstrate means put together.God was putting together his plan for us when He sent Jesus to the cross. We were enemies of Christ! “For there are many, of whom I have often told you, and now tell you even with tears, who live as enemies of the cross of Christ [rejecting and opposing His way of salvation],” Philippians 3:18 AMP And he sent his son. It was His love that saved us. Not anything that we could do or couldn’t do to keep his love from acting on our behalf. He took our place. You need proof God loves you. Look at the Christ sis. How many men have been beaten unrecognizable for you? Only one. His death bought you love. A love that is unchanging a love that is eternal. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. 1 JOHN 4:10 The Chew: His love His son Your choice

“a woman who is no longer married or has never been married can be devoted to the Lord and holy in body and in spirit.
1 Corinthians 7:34 NLT
“Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.”
1 Corinthians 13:4-7 NLT
True love is always demonstrated by action.
Patient is long suffering. Endures for a long time
Kind -simple acts of kindness
Not jealous. Cain wanted Abels blessing and he killed for it
Boastful. Loving actions just to show off.
Pride “looking for glory” to look like love
Proud...self focused not needs of others has a big head
Behaving rudely
Not demand its own way-my way or the highway love looks at the interest of others

Be glad and rejoice..Jesus loves ME I don’t need no one else
He sees our troubles, our hurts and our pain.
He knows when something is stressing us out
He knows our soul..loved me and cared for me
No one but Jesus can meet the needs of our soul
What is the soul? Self, life, creature, person, appetite, mind, living being, desire, emotion, passion
People may know you based on your outward demeanor, but the inside is only visible by Jesus.
So why do people claim to have a “soulmate” ? What if you and your “soulmate” break up, divorce then what do you no longer have a mate or a soul?
God knows our soul best=He is the soulmate

Jesus asked a very important question: “Where is your faith?”

Topic Tuesday: Doubt
Thomas wasn’t present when the other saw Jesus.
He was getting the report.
Thomas needed a visual.
For many of us, like Thomas we only believe what we see. Seeing is believing right?
Nope Jesus says Blessed are those who believe without SEEING.
Sis, were are you needing a visual for belief?
Thomas made the conditions.
He didn’t fake it or sugar coat how he felt.
He spoke his truth!
Are you speaking your truth to Jesus?
Jesus is listening and repeats back to Thomas all his requests.
Jesus commands the unbelief and doubt to stop 🛑 and tells Thomas to believe
Thomas moves from unbelief to belief!
Where do you need to make a transition in your belief?
We have the assurance we need by looking at the wounds, the sacrifice and the resurrection.
Where will look today for assurance? Seen or unseen?

Jesus disarmed the power for the enemy to have a residence in our life.

.
He can’t live there anymore. .
.
Jesus has nailed our transgressions on the cross.
We don't have to wallow in sins committed towards Him rather it was today, 10 days or 10 years ago.
We don’t have to fear the security of our salvation. .
.
The enemy tries to destroy our security when we leave the door open/cracked or put in the wrong thought code.
But Jesus closed that door completely, Satan has no access. Only what we have allowed to creep in that door. We have to remember the code. The code is JESUS.

The first disciples was promised a new job: fishing. Except this job would not involve fishing for fish good to eat.
This job was fishing for Men! (People)
The benefit package includes leading souls to Jesus.
No net required!
No poles! No worms!
Just Jesus !
Sis, when was the last time you went fishing for Men?
Jesus went to the cross to overturn the power of sin in your temple.
What do you need Jesus to drive out and overturn in your life today?

His place was private
He wept

The Bite Ephesians 2:8
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.
A couple of the other translations mentioned:
God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. (NLT)
Now God has us where he wants us, with all the time in this world and the next to shower grace and kindness upon us in Christ Jesus. Saving is all his idea and all his work. All we do is trust him enough to let him do it. It’s God’s gift from start to finish! We don’t play a major role. If we did, we’d probably go around bragging that we’d done the whole thing! No, we neither make nor save ourselves. God does both the making and saving. He creates each of us by Christ Jesus to join him in the work he does, the good work he has gotten ready for us to do, work we had better be doing. (Message Translation)
The Digest God saved YOU when you believed. It is only by his grace that we even have the option to have eternal life. We didn’t do anything or take any part in this decision. He chooses to give us a gift.
Salvation is not a reward for any of the good you have done or think you have done.
What is grace? Grace is defined as merciful kindness by which God, exerting his holy influence upon souls, turns them to Christ, keeps, strengthens and increases them in Christian faith.
Through His merciful kindness towards us, we have the gift of Salvation. If someone brought you a gift, would you stand there and say no?
Sister, Why then would you reject our Loving Father standing in front of you with the only gift in life that has worth?
This lifetime gift comes with a warranty. That warranty is eternal life with Jesus in Heaven. There is no other way to get this gift. It can not be bought with a price. It's free. You actually get a receipt that you get to keep with you at all times, the Holy Spirit.
2 Corinthians 1:22 He put his seal on us and gives us the Holy Spirit as a guarantee.
If you have ever been to Costco/Sams, on the way out, they check your receipt and proceed to put a check paid mark on it.
When you choose to accept this gift, that he has graciously provided. You have your receipt showing you have been paid for by our Risen Savior.
Have you accepted this free gift from a Gracious God? He loves you and He is standing, waiting with the best gift you can ever receive? Will you tell him: No, thank you, how nice of you? Or will you accept the gift with arms wide open and with excitement as you say: Thank you for saving me! I accept the beautiful gracious gift of life!
If you have not made the decision to accept this gift. I encourage you to accept the best thing in the world and have a forever changed life.
John 4:10 If only you knew the gift God has for you and you would ask. I would give.
Ask Him in your life today to receive what only He has to give.
The Chew Accept the Gracious gift. Share the Gracious gift.
The Bite 2 Timothy 1:5
I remember your genuine faith, for you share the faith that first filled your grandmother Lois and your mother.
In this bite, Paul is speaking to Timothy. He states that he remembers Timothy's faith. It was a genuine sincere faith.
When people see you, do they see your faith in Jesus well enough to remember you by your faith?
The Amplified version states: I remember your sincere and unqualified faith [the surrendering of your entire self to God in Christ with confident trust in His power, wisdom and goodness, a faith] which first lived in [the heart of] your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am confident that it is in you as well.
The Message Translation states: That precious memory triggers another: your honest faith—and what a rich faith it is, handed down from your grandmother Lois to your mother Eunice, and now to you!
This is generational faith. Just the other day, I witness my daughter speak with the pastor about her upcoming baptism. She answered his questions with such confidence even at just eight years old. I began to cry tears of joy because I could see that generational faith playing out in front of me.
It was because I have seen that faith fill my grandmother Evelyn. I watched her Sunday after Sunday praising the Lord, I witnessed her reading and highlighting in her Bible. I also knelt beside her in prayer.
It was because of this woman displaying her faith, that I become who I am today.
The Digest Today I ask this: Are you displaying a faith that can be witnessed and shared by the next generation? A faith like Paul stated that can be handed down?
I don't know about you, but I would love to see people tell my grandchildren about my faith and legacy. I would love one day to her from my four children that because of me, witnessing my faith in Jesus, they remembered and others remembered as well.
The last time, I visited my grandmother this summer. I prayed over her aloud. Even though she can't respond verbally. She looked at me with such a joy I can' forget. I think we both knew. She had left a generational mark on me. I wish she was able to witness my children giving their life to Christ. But I will always make sure they know it was because of her faith, Mommy knows how to share the faith with them and others.
Ladies, will you hand down a sincere faith like Lois and Eunice gave Timothy to your family?
The Chew Share your faith with the next generation.
The Bite Proverbs 21: 9, 19
V.9 It’s better to live alone in the corner of an attic than with a quarrelsome wife in a lovely home.
V.19 It’s better to live alone in the desert than with a quarrelsome, complaining wife.
This verse also mentioned in Proverbs 24:25
The Digest So I wonder how many our men feel like all they have left to do is hide (shut down), because of our complaining and argumentative behaviors. Has your man resorted to the quiet desolated place because of your own mouth?
We are either building up our man and our home or tearing it down with our own hands. It is often said, the women set the tone of the home. What tone are you setting in your home?
This verse simply shows us it is better for our man to live open to the elements outside than to dealing with the nagging.
I am still a work in progress. :) but at the beginning of my marriage, I'm sure my husband would have rather went out in the cooling rain, and warmth of sun outside, inside of dealing with storm Alnesha.
So, ladies, Are you a complaining wife? Are you jumping down his throat for any and everything he does or doesn't do?
So challenge for us, this week: Try to not complain. When you get ready to, turn it into thanksgiving instead. For example "I hate it when you leave those wet towels on the floor". Instead "I love how you work so hard for our family, babe".

Then the Lord said to Moses, “Look, I’m going to rain down food from heaven for you. Each day the people can go out and pick up as much food as they need for that day. I will test them in this to see whether or not they will follow my instructions.
The Lord was going to provide the complaining Israelites with rain each day. These people were whining and complaining thinking they were going to starve to death. In this verse we see the Lord, providing the food from heaven daily.
He was providing what they need for each day. He tested them to see who would obey his instructions. In some other translations, states willing to live by my instructions.
The Digest Sister, what are you complaining or whining about today? Are you trusting the Lord to provide your daily needs? The main digest for today is: Are you passing the Test? Are you willing to the by His instructions?
Deuteronomy 8:2 Remember how the Lord your God led you through the wilderness for these forty years, humbling you and testing you to prove your character, and to find out whether or not you would obey his commands.
The Lord has led you in your own life journey, just like he led His people through the wilderness for 40 years. Think about your journey and where you are right now. It may not have been 40 years, maybe much more or less. Who is leading you through or has led you through? If you are listening today, it's safe to say, He still is providing your life today.
God tests us to humble us and prove to Him what is really in our heart. Do you have an obedient heart?
The Chew Prove your obedient heart
The Bite 1 Peter 2:24-25
For “you were like sheep going astray,” but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.
Sheep- four legged animal that has tendencies to follow a leader.
Ladies, besides having the four legs and white furry bodies, we are a lot like sheep. But, we have Shepherd and Overseer of our soul who guides up right back on the right path.
In this bite, we are the sheep. We are the ones who fall to the side, wander, roam away from Jesus. We fall in the path of sin.
But, I love the transition, “But God”.
By his grace and mercy, we can return to the Shepherd and Overseer of our souls.
Return in this verse means to turn to, worship and love and obey the true God.
Shepherd is one who is watching out, preventing attacks on the sheep. Loving and saving the lost sheep.
Overseer is the man in charge of seeing things get done. Jesus is the overseer.
The Digest Sister, Have you wandered far from your Shepherd? Have you gotten caught up with the flock of the world? Are you hiding the illness of sin trying to run and flee? Do you realize the stress you causing yourself by being apart from the Overseer? So I ask you are ready to return to the Shepherd?
Luke 15:4
“Suppose one of you had a hundred sheep and lost one. Wouldn’t you leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness and go after the lost one until you found it? When found, you can be sure you would put it across your shoulders, rejoicing, and when you got home call in your friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Celebrate with me! I’ve found my lost sheep!’ Count on it—there’s more joy in heaven over one sinner’s rescued life than over ninety-nine good people in no need of rescue.
John 10: 3 states He knows His sheep by name. Sister, he knows your name. He is calling you to return to him.
Then, it will be celebration time. Because it has His one back. And when the Good Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of never-ending glory and honor.
The Chew Return to the Shepherd
The Bite Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. NKJV
Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see. NLT
Your faith is the evidence of your belief in our risen Savior Jesus.
What's your evidence? Who or what are you believing in? Where does your faith coming from?
Are you the same person encouraging others to have faith, but complaining about your circumstances?
Sister, where is your faith when bills need to be paid? Your heart saying "I don't know how ends going to meet". But using the statement “I just have to have faith.”
Saying one thing and believing another, giving lip service faith. Faith on your lips, but not in your heart.
The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. It’s our handle on what we can’t see. The act of faith is what distinguished our ancestors, set them above the crowd. The Message
Digest Are you actively trusting and believing in Jesus? What does your obedience look like to Him? Or are you giving lip service faith?

The Bite: * Romans 12:2 NLT
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

You’re cheating on God. If all you want is your own way, flirting with the world every chance you get, you end up enemies of God.
Sister, I love The Message translation. Cheating on God. You can't be flirting with Satan. Allowing him (Satan) to fill your mind with all the so-called beautiful things. He can't provide you anyway. As a result, you end up cheating on your Main Man, number one Lover, Jesus.
Sister, you can't have two men. You will love one and hate the other. Someone is going to get more attention, leaving one to be jealous.
If you cheat too long, you end up with serving divorce paper to the Good Man, Jesus.
Our bite in Romans instructs us to renew the mind. Change the way you think. Focusing on Godly values and attitudes. Transforming comes with spiritual growth. You will be able to know for yourself God’s will is for your life. His will is good, pleasing and perfect.
When you change the way you think that you will be able to discern what God is saying. If you are in the same old pattern, habits, same people, and same thinking don't be mad at God when your circumstances still the same.
He tells us that we have to renew our minds and be transformed.
When we want a to get fit, for a new nice body. We begin to change your eating habits, and maybe even workout. After implementing those changes that you see your body transforming.
The same is true for our spiritual growth. When we want to get close with God, we have to implement some changes but from the inside. Checking your heart, praying, and reading His Word.
Transformation comes with spiritual growth.
The Digest Are you still flirting with this messy, painful world? Are you still believing the lies Satan whispering in your ear?

The Bite: Proverbs 14:1
A wise woman builds her house, but a foolish woman tears it down with her own hands.
Proverbs 2:6-8
All wisdom comes from the Lord, and so do common sense and understanding.
This woman gets everything she needs from the Lord.
Build-simply means to build or rebuild; to put something together; to establish.
Her house refers both to her body(temple) and her household.
Now, we have this foolish woman:
Websters 1828 defines Foolish- void of understanding or sound judgment; unwise, silly and trifling.
Tears down with own hands- destroy
I am in the rebuilding process. I am recovering foolish women finally seeking wisdom from the Lord. Once I realized the need for wisdom, I began to seek it. Sister, he provides wisdom if we ask.
5 If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. James 1:5
Digest: Sister, which woman are you? Are you checking the blueprint to see how to build your household? Are you taking care of your body? Building your temple(spiritually)? Are you allowing the Architect to make the changes he needs to build strong wise woman?

Jesus commands we love each other.
Love in these two verses:
Remember we will always have an audience. Jesus is sitting in that audience. The eyes of the Lord are everywhere.
Jesus gives us a commandment, which is an order to do something.
We are to love the Lord with all our heart, mind and soul. Then love your neighbor as yourself.
Sister, what's your evidence looking like in your life? Can people recognize the love of Jesus in your life? Can Jesus identify you as His disciple by the way you love his people?
For references:
Read 1 John 3:10-23 and 1 John 4: 7-21 for more bites on the way we are to love.
1 John 4:20 states if you say you love God but hate your sister in Christ or your brother in Christ. You are a Liar. How can you love God who is unseen and hate your sister who you can see?
Sister, check your heart today. Love like Jesus.
The opposite of Love is Hate. There is no in between. You are either loving or hating!
Is Hate is polluting your love tank? God can take care of your love tank with His special hate removal treatment. He can make it all clean and make it new again.

Ezekiel tells the bones to "Listen" to the word of the Lord.
The Lord gives breath to the bones. His word becomes the breath that you need, in order to live again.
The key is to Listen to His Word. When you have the words of Life you and can stand on your feet, just like the dry bones did in the Scriptures. You will be able to walk in the army of God.
Love you ladies

Today’s Episode: Isaiah 9:6
Power We see the power he has over the elements
Romans 1:20 Christian Standard Bible (CSB)
20 For his invisible attributes, that is, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen since the creation of the world, being understood through what he has made. As a result, people are without excuse.
Job 37: 6-7 “He directs the snow to fall on the earth and tells the rain to pour down. Then everyone stops working so they can watch his power.
Psalm 147:16 New Living Translation (NLT)
16 He sends the snow like white wool;
he scatters frost upon the ground like ashes.
Job 38:22 New Living Translation (NLT)
22 “Have you visited the storehouses of the snow
or seen the storehouses of hail?
Purity * Shows us the purity of white and a picture of what He does to our red sin
Psalm 51:7 New Living Translation (NLT)
7 Purify me from my sins,[a] and I will be clean;
wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.
Isaiah 1:18 New Living Translation (NLT)
18 “Come now, let’s settle this,”
says the Lord.
“Though your sins are like scarlet,
I will make them as white as snow.
Though they are red like crimson,
I will make them as white as wool.
Provision * Snow is a provision, a watering source for food and causes growth for the farmer.
Isaiah 55:10 New Living Translation (NLT)
10 “The rain and snow come down from the heavens
and stay on the ground to water the earth.
They cause the grain to grow,
producing seed for the farmer
and bread for the hungry.
Person * Jesus appearance is likened to snow his clothes his hair
Revelation 1:14 New Living Translation (NLT)
14 His head and his hair were white like wool, as white as snow. And his eyes were like flames of fire.
Matthew 28:3 New Living Translation (NLT)
3 His face shone like lightning, and his clothing was as white as snow.
Pause Psalm 46:10 New Living Translation (NLT)
10 “Be still, and know that I am God!
I will be honored by every nation.
I will be honored throughout the world.”
The Message Translation states He has snow and hail stockpiled for times of trouble.
Have you ever traveled to where snow is made,
seen the vault where hail is stockpiled,
The arsenals of hail and snow that I keep in readiness
for times of trouble and battle and war?
We also build our “stockpiles” for times of trouble. Bring on the bread and milk? What if God is using the snow to show us something needs purifying in us? What if he wants us to see his Power and show our need for Him in time of trouble?
His warnings are apparent.
Snow is symbolic for cleansing Isaiah 1:18
He cleans us white as snow.
He wants to settle with you Sister and clean you as pure and beautiful as the snow you see today in the Carolina’s. He is saying Come. I will make (insert your name) as white as snow.
The Chew We need purification
We need his power
We need his provision
We need to pause and Consider Him
As we track the storm. I ponder who many have tracked the coming of Jesus. How many realize today is the preparation day? Do you have your bread of life? And do you drink of your spiritual milk? What about some living water?
Soul prepared readiness kit
When the shelves of life are empty He will be your nourishment. He will fill you up.
When you really thirsty you crave something cold to drink only to be thirsty in a few minutes or hours. Jesus is the source of never ending fresh spring water. Water that gives you life. Soul water for eternity.
A newborn babies must have milk to survive. You must have spiritual milk to grow and thrive into the full spiritual child God desires for you to be. Babies cry when they are hungry. You must cry out to the Lord for his nourishment.
It’s like Hurricane Flo came for out of nowhere. I didn’t hear much about her bc I was focusing on my trip. But just how quick the waters formed a hurricane. How quickly our Savior will come. As you have prepared for the storm coming. I hope this encourages you to think about your soul prep for the day of the king.
I saw a news flash on weather channel saying time is running out to prepare. Time is running. God is patient wanting no one to perish so why not ask him into your heart today for the real bread, milk and water that your life needs. You will not have even be hungry or thirsty in any storm bc your soul will be well.
In the eye of the storm by Ryan Stevenson
In the eye of the storm
You remain in control
And in the middle of the war
You guard my soul
You alone are the anchor
When my sails are torn
Your love surrounds me
In the eye of the storm
He promised to be with us no matter how deep the water.
“When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.”
Isaiah 43:2 NLT

Sister, How big is your faith? What Mountains need moving in your Life? Today's episode Jesus tells the disciple about their faith issue. Listen in for the formula of mountain movement. The disciples had just tried to heal a demon possessed boy but they failed. They began to question as to why they couldn’t complete the casting of the demons. Jesus tells them the reason: It was a Faith issue! He told them they didn’t have enough faith. He told they needed mustard seed faith. A mustard seed is one of the most smallest seed. But in produces a big tree of bush. Our faith is must like this seed, it starts with a small spark and then grows into a fruitful harvest for those, who trust and put confidence in God’s power. The Mistake- The disciples had made a mistake in not trusting in God’s power for the faith to heal. His power is required in the healing. The Mustard Seed- The smallest starting point in your faith life. Your faith grows as grow in Jesus. Mountain Movement- If you start with just a little “seed” of faith, you can trust him to the mountains in your life, if it is His will. The mountains won’t move without: Your Faith + His Power + His Will = Mountain Movement. The Digest What mistakes are you making in your faith life? Are your attached to the Vine? What fruit do you see producing in your life ? When you produce much fruit then you are a disciple of Jesus. Is your life producing nothing because you are apart from Him? Are you in danger of God pruning your branch away in the firewood pile because there is no fruit? God the Father is the Gardener, Jesus is the Vine, We are the branch. God cuts off and prunes away the non productive fruit branches. Jesus tells us if we stay attached to Him, you will not be cut off. Those attached with Him bear much fruit. We are to attach to the Vine in order that we might produce much fruit for the Gardener. In this bite, we see faith comes from hearing. Hearing or listening to God’s word. People hear the Word of God when it is shared. As a result of your own personal hearing of the gospel, you received faith. Here is the hard part: Are you sharing that Good News so that someone else receives that faith? Think about your story or testimony: How did you hear? Because someone told you, and you were listening, and you were receptive. Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit and joints and marrow and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. The Word being powerful and alive. It can do all the work. The Helper, The holy spirit, he has it all under control. So ladies, if you have heard the Good News, but have not began to share, I encourage you to share with someone so they can hear and receive. Luke 11:33 No one lights a lamp and puts in a place where it will be hidden, or under a bowl. Instead they put in on its stand, so that those who come in may see the light. We need to stop hiding the gift that can be shared with everyone. He wants no one to perish and neither should we. Sister, if you haven’t heard the Good News. Stay here listening at GloriBites because my goal here is sharing His word in small daily portions. I would be more than willing to share this gospel with you personally. We as women, love to talk. God made us that way. We thrive off of connection. What happens when that connection becomes disconnection because of our mouth? When we gossip, it causes disconnection and confusion. Let us remember, that God is listening to every one of those whispers. The sooner we stop the gossip, the faster the gossip mill stops. No one can say you said anything if the gossips ends with you. Romans 12:18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. What fires of your mouth, have you kept adding wood? Where in your life do you need to stop adding words to the gossip mill?
Today's Bite simply breaks down like this: Give Forgiveness. Receive Forgiveness from the Father. Psalm 103:12 reminds us that our sin is removed from the east to the west. On a compass, those point never meet. Our sin is removed us to untouchable points. The past is the past. You can’t take it back. But God can. He doesn’t keep a record our sin and we have no right to keep a record of anyone else. Sister, I don’t know what you have been through, but I know God does. We each need forgiveness from the Father. He can’t give it to you, if you are not willing to give it to someone else. Digest: What have you done that requires the Father’s forgiveness? And who do you need to forgive in order to receive His forgiveness? Chew: Give Forgiveness to receive Forgiveness from the Father.
