DIVE IN QUESTIONS
- Where do your time, energy, and money go to? What kind of pursuits? How much of your identity is wrapped up in those things?
- What sticks out to you about CS Lewis’ story of the ghosts vs. the “solid people?”
- What are some reasons that we (or you) might be feeling thin and ghost-like these days—uncertain of our (your) identity?
- What are ways that we seek to “solve” our identity crisis by giving ourselves to other tempting sources of security, affirmation, or control? Do any of these “altars” resonate in your life?
- How does the story of the Creation and Fall help us to see these alternative sources of identity as the nothingness that they are?
- Who are you according to 1 Peter 2? And: what does that mean for where you place your time and energies?
