When a person feels demonically oppressed, it means that they are being harassed or influenced by negative entities externally, meaning the negative entities have not possessed them, but rather they are being tortured energetically. One of the biggest mistakes I see is people trying to answer this question after experiencing a single frightening event. In my work, I rarely reach conclusions based on one symptom alone. Instead, I look for consistent patterns that repeat over time because patterns tell us far more than isolated experiences ever can.
Some common symptoms may include unexplained anxieties, intrusive thoughts, sleep issues, and even seeing or sensing dark shadows out of the corner of your eye.
Why Unexplained Spiritual Experiences Create So Much FearThere are many types of spiritual experiences that we can have, and let’s face it; spirituality is not all rainbows and butterflies, and sometimes the fears creep in. This is because the unseen energetic world is more often felt than seen.
We live in a 3D world, where we can see, feel, touch, and taste; many spiritual aspects we experience reside outside of the physicality of mortal life. When we are unprepared for this, it can anchor in fears.
When something falls outside our normal understanding, our minds naturally try to explain it as quickly as possible. Sometimes that explanation is accurate, and sometimes fear fills in the blanks before we have gathered enough information to know what is actually happening.
One of the most important things I have learned is that slowing down often brings far more clarity than rushing toward certainty.
Fear Often Fills In The Gaps Before We Have AnswersOur conscious, ego selves, love to be in control, so when we are experiencing something that doesn’t’ make full sense, we resort to feeding the fears as a sort of safety mechanism. Many years ago, I learned the true value of fear. Fear in small doses, keeps us safe.
Fear in large doses becomes paralyzing. Learning to understand the difference is key to soul sovereignty.
This is why I encourage people not to make major spiritual conclusions while they are in the middle of panic. Fear changes how we interpret our experiences. Once we become calmer, we can begin separating what we actually observed from what our minds assumed might be happening.
Why I Never Rush To Label What’s HappeningWhen working in these unseen realms, taking the to collect data points means we are being scientific and logical in a world that may not feel logical. Rushing to conclusions may lead you off of your true path.
One of the biggest mistakes I see people make is trying to explain an experience before they have enough information to understand it. Whether something turns out to be spiritual interference, an energetic imbalance, or something entirely different, collecting consistent data first allows the evidence to guide the conclusion instead of allowing fear to make that decision for you.
I’m Looking For Patterns, Not Isolated EventsIn the work that I do, I have spent over a decade looking for patterns. There may be an anomalous event, but I need to keep my eye on the bigger picture. If you feel you may be experiencing psychic attacks or harassment from negative entities, keep a journal to log your experiences.
The goal of journaling is not simply to record unusual events. It is to remove guesswork. Over time, written observations make it much easier to recognize recurring themes, identify possible triggers, and separate meaningful patterns from isolated experiences that never repeat.
Here is a short list that you can create to help yourself:
After several weeks, review your journal instead of evaluating each entry individually. Many people discover that what initially felt random actually follows recognizable patterns involving certain environments, emotional states, relationships, or spiritual practices.
The Questions I Ask Before Reaching Any ConclusionBefore reaching any conclusions, ask yourself:
None of these questions are meant to dismiss what you are experiencing. They are designed to eliminate other possibilities before assuming a spiritual cause.
In my experience, asking better questions almost always leads to better answers.
How To Know If I’m Demonically OppressedThere are many signs to know if you are demonically oppressed. One of the bigger ones is negative thoughts that are not yours.
Recurring nightmares, sleep paralysis, and night terrors are other signs something may be amiss. What matters even more than the symptoms themselves is how they behave over time. A single nightmare or intrusive thought is not enough for me to conclude someone is experiencing oppression.
I pay attention when multiple indicators consistently appear together, become more frequent, or continue despite someone actively addressing their emotional and spiritual wellbeing.
What Makes Me Consider Demonic Oppression At AllUnnatural and repeated occurrences are usually the biggest key factors that something is amiss. Sometimes you may feel a heavy energy in a particular space in your home. Or you may react to a situation that is completely out of character for you.
Intrusive thoughts are also a common thread that something ‘not normal’ is up.
I also pay close attention to whether these experiences consistently resist ordinary explanations. Sometimes a practical or emotional cause becomes obvious after careful observation. Other times, the pattern remains remarkably consistent even after those possibilities have been explored.
That distinction helps guide where I look next.
The Difference Between Possibility And ProbabilityPossibility versus probability is about looking for patterns and trying new tactics and seeing what works or doesn’t work. When finding what works or not, it is crucial to ask the “Why”. Why did this work or not work.
When we learn to ask the why, we start to dive deeper into the situation and get more concrete answers. This mindset keeps me from becoming attached to my first explanation.
Every observation either strengthens or weakens my working theory. If new information contradicts my assumptions, I adjust my conclusions instead of forcing the evidence to fit what I expected to find.
When Consistent Evidence Starts Pointing In One DirectionAs time goes on and you are logging in your evidence, you will begin to see patterns, and even one-offs. Once you can collect your data, it also starts to take away the questions and fears, offering you a logic trail into the unseen energetic realms.
Instead of reacting to every frightening experience individually, you begin evaluating the entire picture. That shift alone often reduces fear because your decisions become grounded in observation rather than uncertainty. Whether the final answer points toward spiritual oppression or something else entirely, your conclusions become much more reliable.
Not Every Frightening Experience Has The Same CauseFrightening experiences come through many venues. The key to removing the fears is to learn what the cause is, shining a light on it, and even laughing and walking away from it.
Emotional Trauma Can Change How Experiences FeelWe all have emotional traumas. Living life on earth is not for the faint of heart, it takes courage. Learning to heal our traumas strengthens our spiritual muscles and raises our vibrational field.
Spiritual Sensitivity Isn’t The Same As OppressionI often say, “The good news is you are sensitive; the bad news is you are sensitive.” What I mean by this is our sensitivities are another aspect that we must help us navigate and feel into the unseen energetic world. It offers us a way to feel what may or may not be helpful and to use those data points as a baseline of spiritual safety.
Energetic Imbalances Can Create Similar ExperiencesWhen we are experiencing an energy imbalance it means that something is off. These imbalances can create small openings that allow for oppressive energies to enter our space.
If you feel like you have an imbalance, it is up to you to learn how to heal and correct that.
Knowing When It’s Time To Ask For HelpWhen you tried all the things you know how to do and nothing seems to work, it may be time to ask for help. It’s no different than consulting an attorney or a medical professional when we need help.

Closing Thoughts: Moving Forward With Confidence & Sovereignty Instead Of FearLearning to manage and mitigate fears allows us to move forward with diligence and confidence and allows us to reclaim our soul sovereignty.
Fear loses much of its power when we stop allowing it to make our decisions. Whether your experiences ultimately point toward heightened spiritual sensitivity, unresolved emotional wounds, energetic imbalance, or genuine spiritual interference, the most important step is learning to approach them with spiritual discernment instead of panic.
The more you observe, document, and understand your own patterns, the more confidence you develop in your ability to navigate the unseen with clarity.
Soul sovereignty is not built by living without fear. It is built by learning how to move through uncertainty without surrendering your judgment or your inner authority. Give yourself permission to ask questions, gather evidence, and seek guidance when you need it.
By replacing assumptions with understanding, you become better equipped to protect your energy, strengthen your spiritual foundation, and move forward with greater confidence, wisdom, and peace.
