One of the greatest fear that all of us face is the fear of death. It is a fear that has held much of humanity captive ever since Adam introduced fear into the earth. However, there is Good News! The writer of Hebrews tells us that Jesus tasted death for us in order to destroy (render powerless) the devil who had the power of death and break that fear of death that held humanity captive. It is God's will that we be free from the fear of death and experience His resurrection life!

One of our greatest fears is to be abandoned and left alone. One of the greatest sources of strength is to know that someone is standing with us and that we are not alone. Did you know that you have more than one body? The apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 15 that there is a physical body and a spiritual body. We Many desire to have the "abundant life" that Jesus said He came to give but it seems that it is always just out of reach. We cry out and beg God earnestly for this "fullness" but it seems that the harder we try and the more we ask God, the farther this "fullness' seems to be. Why is that? How do we actually get this fullness of life? The key is a shift in our thinking. A small shift that will have Huge impact. Holy Spirit is a most precious gift that the Father has given us. And like any valuable gift, we must treat Him with great care and respect, while at the same time not shying away from Him in fear. We have an enemy and we are in a fierce battle. Fortunately, God has provided us with an armor to protect us and enable us to win. It is our responsibility, however to put on that armor. Ephesians 5:13-14 talks about the power of light to expose what is hidden. There are many things that are hidden from us. This is going to be a year of God turning on the lights and bringing exposure. But before you get spooked and nervous, the exposure that's coming is Not what you think it is. Emotions. God's gift to us to help us connect with Him and with each other. We need them! Paul said in 1 Cor. 6 that we have been purchased at a price. Peter tells us what that price was: the precious blood of Jesus. But what does it mean that we have been purchased by Jesus? God wants all of us to be fruitful and to be victorious! However, the way God often moves us forward looks so different than the way we thinks it should happen. Often the way forward seems to be backward. As we take time to remember our veterans on this Remembrance day, we are also reminded of the One who made the ultimate sacrifice needed to rescue us from the grip of sin: Jesus Christ our Lord. Peter says that Jesus' sacrifice was an example for us to follow, But we have a conflict, because our flesh does not want to sacrifice. So how do come to this place of sacrifice? What empowered Jesus to sacrifice for us is the same that will empower us to sacrifice for him. Listen in and find out what that power is.
Pillars are extremely important. Buildings stand or fall on the strength of their pillars. We each have pillars that "support" our life. Take those pillars away and your life falls apart. Spiritually, there is a pillar you need to guard and keep strong so that your "life of faith" doesn't fall apart. What's the most precious thing you have? Would you be willing to throw it away? Of course not! Yet many today who have been given something of great value and throwing it away! What is that treasure? Listen in so you don't make the same mistake!
Have you ever tried to get someone's attention? Have you noticed how your voice gets louder if they don't hear you the first time? Why is it that so often, we use this approach when we want God to hear us? God's not deaf and doesn't respond because we get louder or work harder. There is one sure way to get God's attention. As we celebrate Thanksgivng, here in Canada, we are looking more closely at what God spoke through the prophet Jeremiah : " I have loved you with an everlasting love.." (Jer. 31:3). Now, that's a BIG reason for us to give thanks. Join us as we explore what that means and its implication for us today.
Many want to see God's miraculous power breakthrough in their lives but are unwilling to do that which positions them to receive what God wants to do. Ps 50:23 is clear that we offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving, we position ourselves to see God's salvation (healing, deliverance, etc.) Listen in and get in position.
What if I told you that God is not as angry at your sin as you are? What if you are making a bigger deal of your sin than God is? What if I told you that this is actually part of the Gospel message? Why did God tell Moses to build a tabernacle? One reason: so God could dwell among His people! That desire has never changed! He is still seeking a house that He can dwell in. However, just as the house that Moses built had to follow a specific pattern, the house that God is seeking to dwell in today also needs to be after a specific pattern. For many, the word "holiness" conjures up a negative image. Unfortunately, the church has presented a picture of holiness to the world that is really unattractive. But what if true holiness is altogether different; something of great beauty. The bible encourages us to "worship in the beauty of holiness". What does that mean and how do we do that? Detour. Such a nuisance and a disruptor of our plan and agenda. For most, a detour is seen as a bad thing. But not all detours are bad, in fact there are some detours that are good because they have been divinely set up. Listen in and be encouraged through this timely word
Do you believe it? Is it true? If not, why not? Why is it so hard to really believe (at a heart level) statements like this? Listen in and be both challenged and encouraged with this word.
Nobody likes delays. But if can understand the purpose of delay and how both God and the devil use it, we will be better equipped to face the challenges that come our way and not be so easily moved from our faith. Listen in and learn to be prepared by delay.
There is no other name that is higher than the name of Jesus. In that name there is great power! However, there is a key that unlocks the power of that name and only those who have this key will be able to access this power. Listen in and find out what this key is.
God told Joshua that the walls of Jericho would fall down when the people shouted. Was it really a shout that brought the walls down? Yes and No. It was a shout but it was also so much more! Listen in and be encouraged because what God did through Israel with the walls of Jericho, He wants to do with you!
When you are faced with a difficult or even impossible situation and don't know what to do, God says " Take your position, stand still and see my salvation" ( see 2Chronicles 20:17). So the key to seeing the victory is to be in position, but not just any position. There is one key position that God requires that will bring about His salvation. What is that position? We can move forward in victory because Jesus has already won the victory. However, there is a responsibility on our part to choose to move forward. Listen in as Ps Tina encourages us to break free from those things in the past that hold us back and embrace the new that God wands to bring into our lives as we choose to move forward.
Jesus came to bring us freedom (Galatians 5:1)! And His resurrection made that freedom a reality. But what kind of freedom did Jesus come to bring us? A freedom that no one could take away! Solomon encouraged us to not "lean on our own understanding". This implies that there is more than one type of understanding. We don't need our understanding, but rather God's understanding. There is ONE body but many parts. And the many parts are all different, but all the parts are needed. That's the way God designed His body, True unity comes through diversity NOT conformity. A farmer plants seed, works the land and then expects a harvest and enjoy the fruit of his labour. God is also a farmer and there is a harvest that He is looking for from our lives. What is God after, specifically, from us? Listen in as we answer this question.
"Seeing is Believing". But what if you don't see anything? Can you still believe? What if there is a better way? Jesus seemed to think so because he made this statement: "Blessed is the one who believes even though they have not seen". What is the key for us to be able to Believe even when we don't see? If you don't want your boat to drift, you drop the anchor. Even in seemingly calm waters, the anchor is needed because of the powerful undercurrents in the water that can cause the boat to drift. In a spiritual sense, we need to be anchored so that we are not "tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine by deceitful men". We need an anchor to keep us from drifting spiritually. The good news is that God has provided us with some powerful anchors that will ensure we don't drift from His truth. Listen in and find out what these anchors are and how you can drop your anchor so that you don't drift.
We've all heard these words: "go to your room!" Usually, it was because we were being disciplined for doing something wrong. Let me challenge you to rethink those words. As you listen, allow the Holy Spirit to redefine the meaning of those words so that they are no longer fearful, negative words. Instead they will become the most beautiful, inviting words you have ever heard!
The cry of Moses was "show me your glory!" God answered that cry and He will answer our cry to see His glory. Listen in as we explore what this glory looks like and what it means for us.
"Life is a highway, I want to drive it all night long." A catchy phrase from a popular song. Life is indeed a journey and we are all driving down the highway. But the question is: "are you on the right road?" Is the highway you are traveling taking you to the desired destination. There is a highway that you can travel on that is a most beautiful, safe and fulfilling road there is. It will always lead you to the right destination. Want to know what this road is and how you can get on it? Listen in and find out.
Why does a woman play "hard to get?' It's a test to gauge and determine how sincere and devoted the man really is. She needs to know that the man is willing to pay whatever price is needed to have her; that she is of such great value to him that she is worth chasing after; that she is loved for who she is not for what she can do. Why did God make the woman to behave in this way? Could it be because that's how He is? Listen in and gain a better understanding as to why sometimes it seems that God is hiding or silent. it's not because He is angry or unloving. It's actually the opposite.
God desires to be with His people and pour out His glory. However, He is unable because a suitable seat has not been built for Him. Listen in as we explore what is required of us in order to see the glory of God manifested.
In 1 Ki.18:30 it says that Elijah repaired the altar of the LORD. However the word "repaired" is a Hebrew word that literally means to heal or bring back to health. Why would this Hebrew word be used and not the regular word that means to repair, build, establish? How do you heal an altar? Wouldn't it make more sense to say that Elijah "fixed" the altar? What is God wanting us to see here? Listen in as we discover an important truth that is key to seeing the power of God manifest in our lives.
"What makes you think that your God is true?' " Is there really only one God?" "Aren't all religions the same?" Have you faced those or similar questions? Maybe you have even asked them yourself. How do you know if the God you serve is the real God? Elijah faced those same questions and had this answer: " the God who answers by fire, He is the true God." Listen in as we explore what this means and how this applies to our lives today.
Join us as we continue to look at how the service of God's house was set in order. Having removed the filth. and consecrating the utensils. it was now time to begin to offer the sacrifices. Listen in as we look at what types of sacrifices were made and their significance for us today.
Paul made this statement: "I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ because it is the power of God unto salvation." If you want to experience the power of God, you will find it in the gospel. You can't access God's power outside of the gospel. But all this power hinges on one thing: " for all who believe". Do you truly believe?
If I prepared a delicious meal but served it in a dirty, grungy dish, would you eat it? Probably not. Because clean dishes are important. God has a meal he wants to serve to the world. It's absolutely amazing, but He needs clean dishes to serve this meal. You and I ARE those dishes. So as Paul says, how do we remove the impurities and become a" vessel of honour" (a clean dish)? The answer might surprise you. Listen in and find out.
Everybody wants a clean house. In the same way everyone deep down, wants a clean life. The problem is the way we go about cleaning up the "filth". For too many of us, we are trying to get rid of the filth but can't seem to do it. What if what we think is filth really isn't? What if the real filth is something else? Listen in as we explore these two important questions: 1. What is the filth in our lives? and 2. How do we get rid of it?
There is a coming shift in the church. A shift of focus and attention from man-centered service to God-centered service. And along with this shift of focus will return something that has been lacking in the church for a long time. Listen in to find out.
In 2Chronicles 29, king Hezekiah summons the priests and Levites and gives them this charge. "Consecrate yourselves and consecrate the temple of the Lord your God and remove everything impure from the holy place. The cleansing of the Temple began with the priests and Levites consecrating themselves. Listen in as we dive into what it actually means to be consecrated and how that applies to us today.
Work. To many, this is a negative word that makes them groan. Many have had a negative experience with work and or a mean boss that made work unpleasant and difficult. Unfortunately, when it comes to working or serving God, many have taken this negative mindset towards work and projected it onto God. The truth, however is far different. Listen in as we talk about the true nature of work and what type of "boss" God really is.
"How long, God?" or "When, God?" Sometimes it feels like our situation is never going to change. Sometimes we have been "waiting" for so long that it is difficult for us to believe in the "suddenly" of God; that things can and will change quickly. But God is indeed moving and there is a "suddenly" that is coming that will change everything! Listen in and be encouraged as we look at what we can and must do to experience the "suddenly" of God.
Hope. With all that is going wrong in our world, this is something we desperately need in this hour. Is there hope? The bible emphatically says: "YES!" But what is offered isn't just any hope. It is a supernatural hope, one that anchors our soul in the midst of the fiercest storm. Join us as we revisit the Christmas story and discover this amazing kind of hope that is available to all of us, right now!
The Aaronic Blessing found in Numbers 6 has blessed and encouraged many people over the years. Many scholars have broken this prayer down and studied the "what" of this priestly blessing. However today we are going to look not at the actual prayer itself but rather at the timing; "when" this priestly blessing was actually spoken. You will be encouraged and empowered as we look at the implications of this aspect of the Blessing.
Things are often not as they seem. For many, the physical realm is their reality. However there is another reality that God wants us to become aware of and discern. It is the spiritual, unseen realm that is actually more real than the physical. But how do we discern this spiritual reality when we are so dominated by our physical senses? Listen in as we explore this question and others on our journey of going from milk to meat.
God said that He would fill His house with glory. We are that house! Paul said that we rejoice at the hope of God's glory. However, for many of us, we are in a season where we are feeling everything but the glory of God., and asking; "God where are you?" " What's going on?" join us as we look at the lives of a couple godly men who experienced the glory of God, but first had to go through a season that was difficult and painful. This difficult, dark time in their lives was actually necessary to prepare them for the glory God wanted to pour out on them.
Both Moses and David cried out to God: "Show me your ways". Hopefully that is the cry of your heart also. But before God can answer that prayer, there are some things that need to happen. Listen in as we explore what it means and how we can really know God's ways.
Hebrews 10:23 encourages us to "draw near" to the very presence of God with boldness and confidence. Why? Because a new and living way has been opened up just for us. Just as a way was prepared for Jesus when he came to the earth, so too, a way has been prepared for us to enable us to come up to the heavenly realm. The question is are you using that way? if not, what's keeping you? Use the way prepared just for you!
How many have been hurt by someone else? How many have wanted a "payback" of some sort? God tells us in Romans 12 that vengeance is His and that He will payback. But what does that mean? Listen in because its' probably not what you think or have been told. But it will help you.
If you are in a dark, dismal place, don't give up! The dawn is coming and the light of day is breaking forth. Listen in and find out how you can get out of this "dark place" and enjoy His marvelous light.

"God is good". A phrase we all have heard many times and probably one that we have said ourselves. If that is true, my question is why do we struggle to submit to a good Lord? Saying "Jesus is Lord" is one thing but actually making him Lord is another. It's in the application of His Lordship that we run into resistance and the source of that resistance is usually from within. Listen in as we look at why all this resistance and how to overcome it.

After inspecting the ruined walls of Jerusalem, Nehemiah was ready to share his vision of restoration with the rest of the people. The purpose of rebuilding the wall is to remove the shame and reproach. But a crucial response from the people was needed before the walls were rebuilt.
