Jesus doesn't trample on the smoldering wick, or discard the bruised reed. He will not put your last little bit of light out, but invites you to trade your sorrows for his joy- to trade the bondage of besetting sin for the sweet freedom of his grace. The Lord's chosen servant is gentle and compassionate. He aggravates the religious folk by calling tax collectors to be among his disciples, by eating and drinking with sinners, and by healing on the Sabbath day. In love he comes into the mess we've made of our lives and saves us, making us a testimony of his transforming grace.
