This second episode of "First Listen" features host, Kaylea Kuhlman, listening and
giving her first initial thoughts, track by track, to Twenty One Pilots “Scaled and Icy”.
Twenty One Pilots is a rock/alternative duo group from Ohio. The band was formed in 2009 and
has just released their sixth album “Scaled and Icy” in May of 2021. The new album, written by
Tyler Joseph, lead vocalists, is told to be similar to their past sound with some more upbeat lyrics
and reflects on relevant topics like the COVID-19 pandemic and misinformation in the media.
Josh Dun is the drummer and percussion of the band contributing the main instrumentals to their
tracks.
Kaylea, a fan of the band for multiple years, has also seen them live in concert. Listen as she
discovers her way through “Scaled and Icy” by discussing each track after her first listen.
