In this psalm, David predicts the sufferings of the Lord Jesus Christ, forsaken on the cross in pain and shame. He is silenced by death, and yet speaks again triumphantly in resurrection, calling on all to join His triumph song. This great Psalm, quoted by Christ Himself on the cross, is a testimony to God’s plan that was so magnificently fulfilled in the sacrifice of His Son.
