PA478 Psalm 42:1-43:5 mp3
In this message, we begin the second book of Psalms, or the Exodus book. We consider the book of Exodus in the law, which in Hebrew is “These are the Names,” and speaks of the names of those God redeemed, thus being the book of redemption. The second book of Psalms focuses on the nation of Israel, around which God centers His work and purposes. Psalm 42 is a psalm of the sons of Korah, a man who died in rebellion against God in the book of Numbers, but his sons bravely stood apart from him. The Psalm is of one in trouble, calling to Jehovah for help. Psalm 43 takes up the theme of one cut off from God’s altar, but hopeful to come there and worship once again.
