In this psalm, the psalmist calls on all people to hear his wise saying. Those who trust in wealth think that it can provide everything for them, yet they are wrong. They are laid as helpless as sheep in the grave, and yet their posterity approve their philosophy! Yet the psalmist knows that he shall be redeemed from the grave. Thus he calls on all to not fear when the wicked prosper, for the end of their wealth shall be in destruction.
