All music used with permission by Bobby Selvaggio’s 11.
One of Northeast Ohio’s hardest working musicians, Bobby Selvaggio plays a central role in keeping the spirit of jazz alive throughout the region. In addition to his role as Director of Jazz Studies at Kent State University and his role leading artist and talent management and scheduling at multiple venues, Bobby constantly strives to reinvent himself, assembling groups with different styles or perspectives in mind.
In this performance, his group 11 features chamber jazz compositions for a large ensemble. While that may seem like a bit of a juxtaposition, you’ll have to trust me, it works well. From March 12,2022 it’s Bobby Selvaggio’s 11 – Live at the Bop Stop.
Live at the Bop Stop is made possible by the Music Settlement – serving Northeast Ohio by offering music instruction – music therapy and early childhood education since 1912. The Music Settlement’s mission is to welcome all to our music and arts community to learn – create – inspire – and heal.
