It has been over a year. And I am not apologizing for it.
When I stepped away from The Beautiful Bag, I did not plan for it to be this long. What started as a summer break turned into something more, a blockage that took me offline for sixweeks last October, a business I was growing, and a quiet but persistent feeling that something inside the show needed to shift before I opened my mouth again.
The Beautiful Bag has always been more than an ostomy podcast. It was the doorway to community, tohonesty, to the 2am conversations that reminded all of us we were not alone. But over this past year, something kept happening. Women who had never had anostomy started finding me. They were asking the same questions our community. has always asked: how do I feel like myself again? How do I get my life back?
Conversations about hormones, surgical menopause, reinvention, building a business, what 55 actually lookslike they kept coming up, and they did not fit inside The Beautiful Bag. So I. had to figure out how to make the show bigger without leaving anyone behind. I finally figured it out. And that is why I am back.
