I was always a beach bum and rocked a bikini. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But in the last 5 years after having my Ostomy, there were definitely times that I didn't feel so confident wearing a bikini to the beach or pool. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It has taking me a few years to not compare myself to others or worry about what others may think or questions they may ask. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So this vacation I just said you know what, I am going to do what I want! And I put on that bikini! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I was so excited because I found some adorable bag covers made by a past podcast guest April @thatgirlwiththebag that matched my bathing suits and I just enjoyed myself. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Now being in an ostomy, I am more confident and comfortable in a bathing suit than I was before. And I often forget I have Ivan! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Life is about enjoyment, so when you go out and go to the beach or pool, enjoy yourself! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Put on the swimsuit. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Go to the beach. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Pack your car, wine, and snacks and go to the beach or pool. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ DON'T BE AFRAID of the bag or swimsuit or what other people are going to think and go out and enjoy yourselves!
