Was Esau truly repentant about forsaking his birthright for a meal-- Esau believed that he deserved to be blessed just as Jacob was. He begged, cried and wept. He was broken over what he did not have but wanted. He was broken over the wrong thing. He was never broken or repented over what he had done.-Esau never saw his sin. He blamed Jacob for taking his birthright from him. He wanted Issac to repent of giving the blessing to Jacob. But it was too late. The blessing could not be divided.
