Dr. Vaughn explains the structure of DBT, which includes four modules: individual therapy, group skills training, peer consultation team meetings, and intersession contact between therapist and patient. It also requires a pretreatment period, which concludes with an agreement between therapist and client to work together for a defined period of time, usually one year.
