The wise man learns from the trials and tumults of life. Indeed, scriptures tell us that we must learn from the things we experience in life. No matter how difficult the situation or the experience, God intends for us to learn a lesson from all that we go through. The world finds itself in a pandemic. In that time, we do not know of any cases of someone being healed or delivered from COVID. That means that God has a purpose in taking us all through this. In our text, Hezekiah is very sick and hears from the man of God that his days were up. Hezekiah’s response was to pray earnestly to God. In response to this, God added fifteen years to Hezekiah’s life. Hezekiah realized that God allowed this to teach him a lesson. Hezekiah remembers the times of his life that caused him to value the small things of life. It is so vital that we learn from what we go through. We do not want to waste the lesson that trials teach. God has kept and protected us through many things. We must be mindful of the many things that God has provided and be thankful for it. God has given us a wonderful gift every day. We often go through life and fail to be grateful or mindful of the blessings that we enjoy every day. The lesson that Hezekiah learned was that there are no ordinary days. Each day is special and something to be thankful for.
