Defining Moments – Proverbs 29:18: When you read the name, identify what they're famous for: Steve Jobs, Mother Theresa, Mark Zuckerberg, Billy Graham, Colonel Sanders, Sidney Crosby. What if I wrote your name here? What captures your heart and soul? What causes you to leap from bed in the morning? What drives you to your knees? As individuals we desperately need a sense of vision and mission - so do we as a church. What makes us want to serve? Grow? Reach out? Give? Pray? What reality blows wind into our sails and moves us forward to becoming the church Jesus gave his life to build? This is our Annual Meeting Weekend and we'll gather Sunday after the 11:00 am service to reflect on what God has done and is doing and to approve our budget and incoming Elders Board. But much more than that, we'll renew our commitment to all God wants to do both in and through us as a faith community. Several individuals are going to be sharing their stories of encountering Jesus. It will be a great weekend and I so look forward to worshiping God and celebrating his work in us together.
