When I first entered my first long-term relationship, I was pretty unattached, probably out of circumstance. I was totally fed up with the town I was living in. I felt it lacked creativity, music, arts, and culture, and things to do. And I’d fallen in love with Bristol in the UK. And that’s where I had my sights set. I didn’t care much about what to do to get there. Work a temporary job, move away from friends, family, I’d do it. I just knew that I wanted to get there and upgrade my day-to-day experience with a new way of life. I wasn’t expecting a relationship to make me happy. I’d been single for most of school and college and I had survived. I didn’t think that deeply about my level of attractiveness and who I was able to attract anyway.
