Belief - what is it? What is it based on? What causes us to believe? What causes in us disbelief? Believing or not believing something, or in something, is a defining part of who we are, yet we have no say in the matter and no control over it. We either believe something or we don't. Or sometimes, as in the case of Yaakov, our disbelief can change in an instant to belief, for no understandable reason.
