Do we hold anything sacred anymore? Well, once upon a time we did, and to blaspheme the sacred was simply not tolerated. We read this week of a man who blasphemed G-d's sacred name and paid a terrible price for his transgression. His punishment in our modern minds no doubt seems extreme, but have we simply lost the beautiful, life enriching awe of the sacred?
