May 7, 2019: At the Council of American Ambassadors' Spring Conference, Contentious Neighbors, Ambassador Harry Thomas presented an overview of the current state of global affairs. Ambassador Thomas is the Senior Kissinger Fellow at the Yale Jackson Institute for Global Affairs. He served as U.S. Ambassador to Zimbabwe (2016-2018), the Philippines (2010-2013), and Bangladesh (2003-2005). Ambassador Thomas also served as Executive Secretary and Special Assistant to Secretary Condoleezza Rice, Director General of the Foreign Service, Director for South Asia at the National Security Council and Director of the Operations Center.
