1 Corinthians 12:1-31 Psalm 133:1 says “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!”. That word “unity” means “a unit, union”. It doesn’t mean that we will all be identical in everything we do, it just means that we can embrace diversity without being divided. It means that we embrace the role that God has given me and fulfill that role while being completely comfortable with my brother or sister who have been placed in a completely different role… why? Because we are ultimately A UNIT—WE ARE UNITED AS ONE—heading in the same direction. Paul challenged the church in Ephesus—“…walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”(Ephesians 4:1-3)
