Looking at Luke in the lead-up to Christmas. Inspired by the Bible and a little bit from Netflix’s Stranger Things where there is life on the surface... and life below. In the midst of ordinary life, a gate might open between this life that we know and a life which is the same life but ‘upside down’ and full of scary things. Luke’s Gospel is a little bit like that - but in reverse. It’s the world that we see full of beautiful things yet some really strange things and, actually, some pretty terrible things. But underneath the surface of this ordinary life that we live, God is doing things - greater things.
