Would you consider yourself an introvert, an extrovert, or somewhere in between? Each of us is created differently and where we fall on the spectrum of our ideal Friday night (anywhere from home alone with a book to a stadium with 50,000 of your closest friends) is no exception. But regardless of how you self-identify, one thing is 100% true: Your soul needs regular rhythms of silence & solitude. We see this in the life of Jesus—rhythms of community and retreat. Reading Luke's Gospel it almost seems like Jesus was always either coming from solitude to a crowd or heading to solitude from a crowd. But how can we make space in our hurried and over-busy lives amid a hurried and over-busy world? The answer may mean everything for the state of your spiritual life. Check out this week's sermon for inspiration and practical encouragement to "take aim" at Jesus through solitude and silence as a means of grace.
