The two words, inspiration and respiratory have the same root word, ‘pir’. Other words with this same root word include, expire, inspire, spiral, and spirit.
The word respiratory, is used when speaking of physical breathing. The breath of life connects our physical body to our spirits and to God. Thinking of a spiral upward, toward God, and inspiration is a sprinkle downward to us from God. Considering this ebb and flow of breathing opens up a deeper understanding.
We can sync our lives with God’s ebb and flow. As we embrace the natural rhythm of our life, we find deeper connection with others. There are examples of natural ebb and flow all around us, with the changing seasons, the ocean tide, etc.
Natural ebb and flow is continually changing. Sometimes we can cause detours in the natural flow. Sometimes these detours are a necessary step in our learning and understanding, sometimes they simply create unnecessary chaos.
We can love, embrace, find joy, laughter and happiness in every tide we experience!
