Every day and every step is a success! God’s timing is perfect!
My natural self at times wants things perfect immediately. However, I see the wisdom in allowing many baby steps that come before we reach perfection.
There is a story in the Bible of Christ raising a child from the dead. Even though He knew the child was sick, He waited for her to pass away, that He might show forth a greater miracle. (See Luke 8:41-54) (See John 11:21, 38-45 when again He waited and raised Lazarus from the dead)
I trust that God’s ways and timing are always perfect!
Sometimes our refining process is small course corrections and at other times it’s a large refiner’s fire.
Thank you Rachael for pointing out that feelings of shame are absolutely not part of the refining process. God is proud of our daily efforts and willingness to be perfected.
As we allow God to refine us, in His way and timing, we come to know Him, His work, and we more clearly hear His voice.
