Yesterday morning, I felt like I was being chased by the clock, and then later in the day, it felt like drudgery. When I noticed the drudgery, I also was feeling some shame for not getting enough done.
How interesting.
In that moment, I remembered that I had received a specific Inspired Shortcut action step while on the Gratitude Call that morning. I made the choice to do that one thing and you know what? All that drudgery and shame was replaced with a feeling of calm. I did the one thing and then my husband and I watched a movie. Perfect evening!
I also realized that if I had taken action on the ONE THING, earlier in the day, I could have felt calm all day long!
But, that’s ok. Life is an adventure. I learned that we do have ups and downs, but it can all be smooth sailing if we choose it.
We can have joy in the process of creation, and even in re-creation after that first creation is no longer serving us. Faith in all things coming together for our good helps us see the beauty and perfection of every experience.
Thanks to Martha from New York, first-time live caller today who shared a favorite scripture of mine that empowered and filled her with hope as she stepped out of confusion and fear, in anticipation of a job interview.
“For God hath not given us the spirit offear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” -2 Timothy 1:7
Anything can be an adventure! We are on our own path and sometimes we cross paths with another person. Kathy, one of our live participants, suggested that an encounter such as this can throw us off balance, or we can see it as an exciting element in our own journey.
Even a life that begins in abuse and darkness has beauty sprinkled within it. Mary, on our call is a great example of this. She shared a bit about her life, part of which was living on several continents and in several states. Each place has been new and beautiful and has helped her be able to grow, detach, and move forward quickly, making friends wherever she goes.
It’s thrilling to embrace and create with the materials right in front of us. We can see our new station in life as drudgery, or like me yesterday, being chased by the clock. Or we can be calm and see that there is only one needful thing in this moment and God has the rest under control.
