Some friends and mentors are with us for a short time, others are with us for a lifetime and even beyond.
I have a friend who I may not see for months or years, and when we get together, it is like no time at all has gone by.
One of our live participants today told of a special friend who she has a soul to soul connection with. The friend has passed on, but she still feels a deep soul connection even though she is no longer in mortal existence.
I believe this might be the kind of connection that spouses have after decades of being together when they become separated by death.
Jesus gave of his valued time to harlots and publicans. We gain value from the stories that are shared in the Bible about those experiences. Even relationships with people who choose paths much different from our own are valuable.
Have you ever held onto one of those relationships longer than is healthy? Continuing to harbor memories of old friendships turned sour? Keeping a friend who long ago left us, can cause feelings of resentment and remorse.
This call will likely give you the gift of finding gratitude and love for certain friends past and present. You may also have the gift of surfacing some uncomfortable feelings about friendships past and present.
Our relationships with people are the catalyst for our greatest joy as well as our greatest pain. I invite you to reach out to me if you would like some help working through those feelings.
